*Five hours ago*
"Chandana plays the same Kiran huh? I'm the same Naya want to try the rides that are serem. Afraid you'll even get dizzy," Roka sipped a bottle of the drink she just bought excitedly.
Chandana glanced at Kiran for a moment, then looked back at Roka, "It's okay for me to be alone, the three of you to play around," Chandana smiled faintly. Her own face looks sincere.
Kiran just kept quiet and threw away her face. To be honest he wanted to volunteer himself, but recalling the conversation that had happened between him and Roka some time ago made him feel worried. Chandana rejects Roka's proposal for a reason, and out of the many things Kiran thinks of, two of the strongest possible reasons for Chandana's rejection emerge. He feels awkward, or he does not want to be left alone with Kiran because he is not comfortable being near men. If Chandana's reason is second, of course Kiran will feel guilty if she offers up and urges Chandana.
Roka turned her head towards Kiran, as if waiting for her friend to react or perhaps support her proposal. Instead of responding to Roka's gaze, Kiran threw her face away, forcing Roka to persuade Chandana in her own way, "Nothing. Don't be afraid of Kiran, she's a good boy. I guarantee he'll take care of you."
Chandana hesitated, "I'm not afraid of Kiran, I just want you to have fun and not worry about me like this" Chandana said in a soft voice.
Hearing this made Kiran throw away all the worries that had stuck in her mind, "Nothing. Let me accompany you, will I?" Kiran dared to look at Chandana.
The girl looked up, her eyes met Kiran's two beads that seemed to sparkle expectantly, "As far as you are."
Roka threw a glance at each other with Naya now smiling meaningfully. A pride in itself because now their plans look smooth and run according to what is expected.
Without waiting any longer, Roka arranged a location where they could meet again after walking around separately. After all agreed, the four of them took a path in different directions. Kiran and Chandana go north while Roka and Naya go south.
Because he was a man, Kiran tended to walk with wide and fast steps. He even left Chandana a few meters because the girl had trouble keeping pace. Realizing this made Kiran decide to walk more slowly with footsteps that were not too wide. He walks across Chandana's fingers while occasionally throwing glances at the girl.
"Do you like places like this?" Kiran glanced at Chandana, trying to drive away the silence and heart beat that had been suffocating her for minutes.
"Not really. After riding a few rides like that I felt less suited to this type of game, "Kiran looked down, watching his footsteps and shoes, watching, then he noticed Kiran's footsteps that looked incompatible because he was trying to reduce his speed.
"You?" Chandana continued by throwing questions back.
"I don't have a problem with the place. I just don't like crowds" Kiran explained. His heart was racing faster, he had never imagined before he could walk and talk to Chandana like this.
Chandana nodded slowly. For some time, silence shrouded the two. They are like they are immersed in their own thoughts. So many things they want to say to each other, but it feels like there is an invisible wall that limits both of them to be equally afraid and hesitant to convey what is in the minds of both.
Three minutes later they quieted each other as Kiran suddenly exclaimed, "Do you like ice cream?"
Chandana looked over, "Why?" chandana asked who was astonished by Kiran's sudden question.
Kiran smiled enthusiastically, "That's no patbingsu! Shaved ice typical of Korea whose toppings are very much able to choose. I've seen some food on television, it looks good. You wanna try?"
Chandana threw away her face, hiding a smile because she saw Kiran's face that looked very excited, "May."
Kiran further widened her smile, "Come there!" Kiran walked ahead of Chandana with slow but excited steps, while Chandana walked behind her with a fluffy smile.
They entered a wooden hut in front of which was attached a giant banner depicting several types of Japanese and Korean food. Although it looks quite crowded, but there are still quite a lot of empty seats in the interior of the cottage. Kiran decides to take Chandana to sit in one of the empty spots located right next to the glassless window. Kiran pulled out a chair for Chandana and then sat down in the other chair in front of the girl.
Within seconds, a waiter came to them asking for the order they wanted. Kiran opened the menu book and then turned it around so Chandana could see the book clearly, "Do you want to eat? If so, just order it," Kiran smiled gently.
"I'm not hungry. Said you wanted to eat patbingsu, it's a choice it feels like there are many," Chandana turned the book around in front of her so that it could be read by Kiran.
"What do you like to taste?" asked Kiran while flipping through the pages of the menu book in front of her.
"Vanila," Chandana said softly.
"Mas, order big size vanila topping mix huh? Vanilla pudding and chocolate pancakes." Kiran said softly as she turned towards the waiter who was seen taking down all her orders.
"That's it, Mas?" ask the waiter.
"Yes, that's all," Kiran smiled.
"Well, wait for ya." The waiter walked away from Kiran and Chandana to head to the kitchen section, giving the order he had just received to the chef who was about to prepare the dish.
Kiran glanced at Chandana at a glance then looked out the window, watching the people passing by. They look happy and excited, not a few who look pale due to not being able to stand the rides they just rode. Almost everyone wears clothes with striking colors, whether it is red, yellow, green, and other bright colors. They seem to want to describe the mood they experience with the clothes they wear.
"Kiran, about the last time, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I beg you not to be angry" Chandana said softly, her voice trembling and full of worry.
Kiran raised her eyebrows. Getting angry? Wh who? Isn't Chandana the one who should be mad at him?
"Huh? Getting angry? No way. I'm not angry. Why do you think that's it?" Kiran stared in surprise, she did not know Chandana thought that way towards her.
"I think you're angry. Since this morning you have been avoiding me, you are also more reserved and look grim. I think it's all because my presence makes you uncomfortable" Chandana lowered her head while playing her fingers.
"Sa-I'm not mad at you. I also don't feel uncomfortable. I'm just confused how. I'm not used to friendship," Chandana raised her face, now she sounds more courageous to give an explanation.
"But if you allow me, is it too late for me to say that I really want to make friends with you?" chandana's recalcitrant words made Kiran wrong.
Kiran covered her face. When embarrassed, his face and ears will immediately turn red. I don't know how red his face and ears are now. To be sure, Chandana's words just caused a feeling of pleasure that he could not explain. Something stuck in his chest seemed to decay along with the heartbeat that was getting faster.
"N-no!" Kiran turned her face as she extended her hand, "Friends?" continued.
Chandana stared at Kiran's hand, instead of regretting it, Chandana pointed her pinkie while smiling in a knot, "Friends."
Kiran pulled her hand, also pointing her little finger. For the first time, he saw Chandana smiling that wide and sincere. The girl in front of him looked very beautiful in her eyes. Kiran could not even describe what she was feeling. His body bristled several times because of the strange feeling he was now experiencing.
Is this what you call happiness? Is this what you call falling in love? What a feeling is this, gosh.
Kiran lowered her finger when she saw a female servant walking towards her with the order they had previously ordered, "Thank you" Chandana smiled faintly as she helped the servant put some dishes on the table.
Kiran blushed. It was not her that Chandana was helping, but somehow paying attention to all the little things that the girl was doing made her heart feel calm and happy, "Here," Chandana thrust a spoon at Kiran.
Although he was actually very enthusiastic, Kiran still tried to look calm when she started eating the patbingsu in front of her, "Well, it's really good."
Chandana smiled as she occasionally ate the dishes in front of her. While in the log cabin, the two did not talk much. Just throw each other a comment about the taste of the food as well as some people passing by. To be honest there were many things that Kiran wanted to know from Chandana, she wanted to get to know this girl before her properly. But Kiran realized that he should not be rash. He should respect Chandana as much as she appreciates him.
Chandana says that he is not used to friendship, so Kiran is reluctant to be aggressive and too blunt especially if later he actually makes Chandana feel uncomfortable. Kiran was well aware that their friendship needed a little more time to grow and grow closer by itself. The feelings that Kiran now feels for Chandana also still have to be patient until the moment when she succeeds in understanding herself and knowing and understanding Chandana.
After finishing all their food, Kiran invites Chandana to take a walk back. Some of their rides just passed because of the sound of screams heard from the passengers of the vehicle. It is quite terrible for Chandana to ride two extreme rides due to comply with the invitation of Roka and Naya some time ago. Now just by hearing the screams or seeing the description of the woman alone has made Chandana feel dizzy and nauseous.
Kiran glanced at Chandana. The girl was very quiet and did not talk much. To hear his voice alone Kiran had to desperately search for the topic of conversation. But instead of feeling upset, Kiran was happy. At least he was convinced that Chandana might be a good girl. Someone who deserves to be admired.
"Chandana, don't you want to ride that?" Kiran stops her steps as they pass through a giant reed.
Chandana turned around, following Kiran's line of sight which was now fixed on a giant spinning wheel with dozens of round-shaped objects moving around on each side, "You want to ride that?"
"If you want, come on. Not too cool, that's a very slow muter. It won't make you dizzy" Kiran smiled, trying to persuade Chandana to be willing to go up with her. Kiran wants Chandana to enjoy at least one game, so that his first visit to the amusement park will leave a pleasant impression on Chandana himself.
"OK," Chandana hesitated.
Kiran who was walking right next to Chandana saw cold sweat dripping from her forehead, the girl still looked terrified, "Chandana, believe me. That ride is okay. If you're afraid, you can hold my jacket sleeve, "Kiran is about to pull out his arm but Chandana is preventing it.
"Kiran, no need. I'm okay anyway. And also for the previous two rides, thank you for lending me your jacket sleeve," Chandana tried to look calm. Even so, Kiran knew very well that Chandana was holding back fear.
"If you suddenly don't want to go up, say yes. Don't overdo it," Kiran again focused on the line in front of her. There were less than six lines left before it was their turn.
One line, two lines, three lines, time goes on until it is Chandana and Kiran's turn to enter one of the gondolas. Kiran invited Chandana to enter first while whispering, "Be careful."
When the ringleader began to walk, the gondola swayed to make Chandana gripped tightly the iron door next to him while closing his eyes. Kiran who was still in a standing position reflexively touched Chandana's arm in shock. The girl looked even more surprised, she immediately pulled her hand just after Kiran held it, as if Kiran would not touch her.
"Ma-I'm sorry. I don't mean to" Kiran tried to explain the situation when suddenly Chandana cut in.
"It's okay," Kiran realized that what Chandana said was opposite to her reaction and expression. He looked scared and surprised, not playing.
The awkward situation that had surrounded them began to fade as the ringleader that carried them began to rise above the air. Chandana who was originally frightened now looks curious by starting to peek down, watching the beautiful scenery from where he is.
Kiran also peeked in the direction opposite Chandana. This was also his first time riding this thing. Kiran smiled in amazement at the sight of all the objects and humans beneath her. They have not reached the top point but the view that looks so beautiful in the eye. Kiran did not stop to smile.
"Kiran, it's Naya with Roka isn't it?" Chandana says shush.
"Where?" Kiran walked towards Chandana, making the gondola they were riding back move due to the bias.
This time Kiran hurriedly walked backwards to avoid the events like before. He decided to stay on the opposite side of Chandana to keep the gondola balanced, "Sorry" he said, looking at the panicked Chandana.
Chandana smiled, "You're really, this isn't scary at all. It's exquisite. It's great to see people and trees from up here" he said, enjoying the view through a window in the gondola.
Kiran looked at Chandana who was now on her back while continuing to say "Wah" "Woo" "Great", then smiled with relief.
I'm glad you're happy too, Chandana.
