The Bloody Scarf

Chapter 8

“Tok..tok..tok...” sound of the door being knocked.

Young Min opened the door of his house how surprised he was when he saw Ha Ru standing in front of him in a drenched state and a trembling body, she also looked crying and also frightened. Young Min quickly pulled Haru's body into her house and hugged her body while stroking Ha Ru's hair. It was then that Ha Ru began to cry loudly, expelling all her sadness and fear.

“I saw it” said Ha Ru who sat on the sofa and had started to calm down.

Young Min did not give any response, he just took his towel and clothes for Ha Ru.

“Wear this” said Young Min while giving his towel to Ha Ru.

Ha Ru picked up the towel with her trembling hands, she began to shake her head with her trembling hands. Young Min who was looking at Ha Ru's trembling hand immediately took the towel. He began to help Ha Ru to dry her body that was soaked from the heavy rain. When Ha Ru's body was not too wet, Young Min told her to change clothes with the clothes she had prepared. Ha Ru obeyed Young Min's words and went inside the bathroom, she looked at herself in the mirror and started shedding tears again. He started to undress with his hands still trembling, his feeling of fear could not go away.

“I made you hot chocolate” Young Min said to Ha Ru who just came out of the bathroom.

Ha Ru sat down and drank the chocolate that Young Min had made. Young Min preferred to calm Ha Ru down rather than ask what happened to her because according to Young Min Ha Ru's calmness and feelings were more important than what Ha Ru saw.

“At first he grabbed me, I thought he wanted to kill me but it didn't seem like he could do it. Then he left me in a bound state and eyes closed” Ha Ru said suddenly twitching what she had just experienced.

“Have stopped” Young Min's pinta while hugging Ha Ru whose body was trembling again considering what happened to her.

Young Min and Ha Ru looked at each other while lying on Young Min's bed. Ha Ru starts to feel safe as Young Min is with her, slowly she starts to fall asleep in Young Min's arms.

Ha Ru and Young Joon looked at the photo and they looked very surprised by what the picture was. It was photographed that Ha Ru was wearing the same scarf as the murder victims.

“What did Young Min say when giving this photo to you?” asked the curious Ha Ru.

“He said to give you this photo, but since you disappeared I didn't have time to give this to you. After giving the photo Young Min also passed away” said Jang Man.

“Ah...” cried Ha Ru while holding her head suddenly Ha Ru recalled when she and Young Min were laughing together even kissing.

“Why you? Ha Ru's? You okay?” young Joon asked while holding onto Ha Ru's body.

“I'm fine” said Ha Ru.

(What kind of a word is this? Did I cheat on Won? But we look so happy, what really happened?)

“Captain, do you still have Young Min's belongings?” ask Ha Ru.

“His stuff has been returned to his family. If you want to see these items I will give you the home address of his mother” bargain Jang Man.

Ha Ru and Young Joon rush to the address given by Jang Man.

“What really happened?” ask Young Joon.

“How can you have the same scarf as the victims” continued Young Joon who seemed confused by this incident.

“I'm not sure either but it looks like this murder has more victims than we know and the murder in Seoul is not the first time that happened” Ha Ru explained.

Meanwhile the Captain searches for Young Joon and Ha Ru who are not visible in the office even their numbers cannot be reached. The time-hunting captain immediately ordered Hoon and Min Ki to investigate Yu Chan's daily life and also investigate everything related to Yu Chan back. Kwang Min is told to investigate the victims like the places they have been or anything suspicious.

"Yesterday we already got suspicious things from Yu Chan's account but since there was no surah of the search order we couldn't do anything" explained Kwang Min.

"Let me take care of it" explained Byung Jun.

Kwang Min asks all the acquaintances of the victims but the victims are not related to each other starting from different schools, different residences and different friendship environments.

Kwang Min decides to question them again and his first destination is the cafe where Ga Young works. Kwang Min meets with Ga Young's friend to ask for an explanation about Ga young.

“I already told the police everything back then” replied the cafe owner who was a little annoyed at being repeatedly questioned about Ga Young.

“Sorry, but we really need your help. Does this Ga Young behinda have a place that he frequents? For example a house skait, salon or whatever it is” asked Kwang Min.

A part-time worker who was cleaning the table next door where Kwang Min was talking to the cafe owner overheard their conversation.

“No” replied the cafe owner firmly.

“Sorry, but Ga Young's brother recently often went to the hospital that I recommend” said a part-time employee interrupted their conversation.

“Hospital? Which hospital?” ask Kwang Min.

“Manwon. Manwon” Hospital replied the employee.

Young Joon and Ha Ru have arrived at Young Min's mother's house. Ha Ru looked around Young Min's house and felt that she had been here so that the neighborhood felt familiar to Ha Ru.

“It looks like I've been here” Ha Ru said as she looked around.

“I don't remember but this place feels familiar to me” Ha Ru replied.

They knock on Young Min's door and a woman who is old enough opens the door for them. The old woman who was known as Young Min's mother recognized Ha Ru's face, the woman immediately hugged Ha Ru. Ha Ru seemed confused by what the woman was doing.

“I'm glad you're okay” said Young Min's mother in a warm voice as if she had just met her long-time child.

“Do you know me?” asked Ha Ru who was still in Young Min's mother's arms.

“Did you forget me?” young Min's mother asked as she let go of her embrace.

“Ah, this is Ha Ru having amnesia after the accident she had 6 months ago. So he doesn't remember anyone at this time” Young Joon explained.

“So turned out. Then what's coming here?” ask Young Min's mother.

“I want to restore my lost memory, so I came to” Ha Ru explained.

“Then go in first” tell Young Min's mom.

They entered Young Min's mother's house and sat in the guest room, little by little Ha Ru began to remember this house. She remembers entering this house with Young Min but only until there, she did not remember what she and Young Min were talking about.

“What can I help you with?” young Min's mother said as she gave us a drink.

“Do you know my relationship with your child?” ask Ha Ru.

“After I you are lovers and you will soon get married but because Young Min suddenly died, the marriage did not happen” explained Young Min's mother.

Ha Ru who heard Young Min's mother's explanation became surprised because it meant she was cheating on Lee Won. According to Lee Won, they have been together for 2 years, which means that when she wants to marry Young Min, she is dating Lee Won.

“Can I see the items left by Young Min?” ask Ha Ru.

“Bby, please” said Young Min's mother while opening the door to Young Min's room.

“I didn't throw away his stuff because maybe you came for Young Min and it turns out that it's true you came here. I will leave you” Young Min's mother continued as she left the room.

After Young Min's mother leaves Young Joon and Ha Ru look around Young Min's room, Young Min's room is filled with pictures of her and Ha Ru.

“Are you having an affair with Young Min?” young Joon asked curiously.

“I also don't know, if all these stories are true then I really cheated” Ha Ru replied.

“But don't you think if I have that scarf, it means I'm also one of the victims. That means I'm a survivor, right?” keep Ha Ru.

“True too and that means there are other victims besides yourself” Young Joon said.

“Young Min must have had an opinion on this, so he gave the photo to me” Ha Ru said.

They also searched all over the place hoping to find something that could be used as a clue for this case. Ha Ru opens Young Min's desk drawer and finds a jewelry box with a letter on it. He opened the box and found two rings, and his tears just came out. Ha Ru wiped her tears and opened the letter she found with the ring.

I'm sorry for making you suffer. I promise I will make you happy, I will protect whatever happens. I will not make you suffer again, please trust me. I love you so much.

The Young Min

Ha Ru's tears were getting more and more unbearable, now that not only tears were flowing, Ha Ru started to cry. It makes Young Joon feel confused about what happened.

“Are you okay?” ask Young Joon.

Ha Ru did not answer and just continued to cry, Ha Ru did not know why she was crying but her heart felt so painful that she could not help her crying. Young Joon who was nearby hugged Ha Ru tried to calm her down even though he did not know what happened with Ha Ru. After a while Ha Ru already felt a little calm.

“Thank you” said Ha Ru while letting go of Young Joon's embrace.

“I want to go to the bathroom first” Ha Ru permission on Young joon.

When he was about to go to the bathroom suddenly Ha Ru fainted, Young Joon panicked and tried to wake Ha Ru up.
