Chapter 54 (Flashback Ha Ru and Young Min)

Sung Jae was at first confused about how the police knew about Se Na when he believed that he had cleared up all the evidence.

"Who is he? I don't know" Sung Jae told a lie.

"Are you sure you don't recognize him?" ask Jang Man again.

"Yes, I never saw him" Sung Jae replied lying.

"What happened to dja?" ask Sung Jae.

"He was found dead" replied Jang Man.

"Then how do you explain this?" jang Man asked while handing over the CCTV video recording them.

Sung Jae saw the video and he was surprised because he forgot to clean up the CCTV that was inside the nightclub.

"Maybe I was drunk. I don't remember meeting this girl" said Sung Jae.

"Then do you know this man with you?" ask Jang Man while pointing at Won.

"Yes, he is someone I already consider to be like my own family" Sung Jae explained. He knew that he could not lie because they most likely had an investigation in advance.

"Do you know where he is now?" ask Jang Man.

"I don't know" Sung Jae replied.

"You say he's like your own family but you don't know where he is? Does that make sense? " ask Young Min who is suspicious of everything Sung Jae has said.

"He always does that. She never told me where she was going but she was going to visit me" Sung Jae explained.

"Alright, please contact us if Won meets you" Young Min said, giving her card.

"Where did you go with this girl?" ask Jang Man.

"I don't remember but if you suspect me you can confirm my alibi. After this bar I was in a cafe and ordered drinks there to relieve my hangover" Sung Jae explained.

"If can you give the address of your cafe away?" ask Jang Man.

Sung Jae also gives the cafe address which could be his alibi. Because there is no direct evidence to show that Sung Jae was the culprit they also left.

"Please do not turn off your phone and Jang traveled out of town first because we still need a description from you" said Jang Man before saying goodbye.

They leave Sung Jae's house and Sung Jae immediately goes to his secret room to get Ha Na and his mother out. After that she does not escape to contact Won about what happened.

"We'd better meet" Sung Jae said on the phone.

"We can't meet because they might have people watching you" Won answered on the phone.

"I left behind evidence" Sung Jae replied.

"ARE YOU CRAZY?" shouted Won who was angry because his perfect plan could fail.

"I'm sorry. I'll take responsibility" Sung Jae replied.

"You must not change your statement. I'll set up a lawyer for you if they arrest you. Keep telling the facts between you and me but don't tell me you know the girl. The rest of me will handle it" Won explained and then hung up his phone.

Instead of worrying about her condition Sung Jae instead feels guilty to Won because he plans Won to fail. Sung Jae was crying and screaming inside his room, Ha Na who heard it immediately ran up.

"What's going on?" ha Na asked as she opened the room door.

Seeing the crying Sung Jae she immediately hugged Sung Jae.

"Sung Jae, everything will be fine" said Ha Na to appease Sung Jae.

While Sung Jae was suffering, Won seemed to not blame what happened, he instead smiled looking at Ha Ru and her newborn son.

"We're moving into our new house tomorrow" Won said.

"Where?" ask Ha Ru.

"Seoul" replied Won.

"Why?" ask Ha Ru

"I want you to get a new atmosphere" Won explained.

"Then how about your mother, Sung Jae and Ha Na? Will they come too?" ask Ha Ru.

"No. It's just the two of us" Won replied.

"What about my grandmother?" ask Ha Ru.

"I'll take him home so be patient a little more" Won told a lie.

Ha Ru felt that she was leaving the villa right now, her chances of freeing Ha Na and Won's mother will be smaller but at this time she can't do anything and again she already has a child now.

"Alright" said Ha Ru who agreed to Won's request.

After Ha Ru came home from the hospital they went straight to Won's father's house and they stayed there together.

"Let's get married" Won asked as they were relaxing in the living room.

"Why did you suddenly want to get married?" asked Ha Ru who was hesitant.

"Didn't you want to marry me? We have children and we love each other. I want us to be a family and you don't have to work anymore as a cop" Won explained.

"I'm not sure. I'll think about her. You know for yourself I don't like marriage" Ha Ru explained, remembering what happened to her family.

"alright. I won't force you but think about my offer carefully" Won explained as he kissed Ha Ru on the forehead.

Ha Ru starts to question her feelings for Won, because when she hears Won's offer, she feels doubtful and also she doesn't trust Won anymore. After everything he saw, he felt that Won was not the Won he knew. Won even threatens to use his grandmother and lock up his mother. Ha Ru feels if she is in danger if she continues to be near Won.

Elsewhere, Young Min and the others are still trying to solve Se Na's case but all of the alibis Sung Jae says are true and he is eventually removed from the suspect.

"I'm still suspicious of Sung Jae" said Young Min.

"me too. I feel like there's something weird about that guy and he's lying to us" Man Ho said.

"Can we trace where Se Na went after she left the club?" ask Jang Man.

"No, I still saw CCTV footage around the nightclub looking for Se Na's whereabouts but most of their CCTVs went missing at any given hour. So that we can't find anything.

"DANGUAGE!!!!!!! here again. I'm tired of all this even that jerk dared to upload the video and insult the police" said Jang Man who looked annoyed.

"He's really playing us. I promised I'd kill him if he got caught" said Young Min, who was also upset.

"Captain, it looks like I'm getting something" said Eun Ho who had seen a lot of CCTV footage until she was tired.

Hearing Eun Ho's words, they all immediately moved towards Eun Ho.

"What did you find?" ask the curious Young Min.

"This is CCTV footage that was in a cafe. Although it is not clear but we can see that it is Se Na from her clothes" explained Eun Ho.

Eun Ho tried to zoom in on the CCTV footage so that colleagues could see her. Although after being enlarged it looks cracked but they can see the clothes worn by the girl in the CCTV was the same as the clothes worn by Se Na in the nightclub.
