Chapter 17 (Flashback Ha Ru and Young Min)
After all the teams arrived they started interrogating the people who were there but no one knew who the dead woman was.
"I've never seen him here" said the security guard who works there.
"Can we see the CCTV last night?" young Min asked the apartment security.
"Of course" replied the apartment guard.
Young Min and Ha Ru followed the security guard to his post and searched the files last night. But when they opened the file it did not appear any image.
"Why no pictures appear" asked Ha Ru to the security guard.
"I don't know either, yesterday there was no problem" replied the security guard.
"What did you do yesterday? Did you ever leave your place last night? " ask Ha Ru to the security guard.
"Just a few minutes. I got a report of a leaky pipe and I went into one of the apartments to check it" the security guard said.
"What time did you leave your place?" ask Ha Ru to Mr. Security.
"Around 9pm" replied the security guard.
"Thank you for your cooperation" Young Min said.
Young Min and Ha Ru go to gather with her team.
"How" asked Jang Man.
"his "CCTV was not working at the time. So it's a waste" said Young Min.
"The residents also do not know who the girl is" added Man Ho.
"Wait." said Young Min as he approached the car parked in front of the TKP.
"In this car there's a black box camera. Maybe we can get something" Young Min continued.
They immediately searched for the owner of the car. After that Young Min finds the owner they wonder about the car.
"When has this car been parked here?" ask Young Min.
"Yesterday night I came home at 6 and since then this car is parked here" explained the car owner.
"Then can we see your black box?" ask Young Min.
"Of course" the car owner replied as he removed the memory card in his black box and gave it to Young Min.
Young Min immediately got into his car and immediately put the memory card into a special tool so that it can be input into the laptop.
The rest of the team got into Young Min's car, and watched the video.
"Speed up at 8" Jang Man ordered.
They were surprised to see that someone had fallen from the top and the video did not show from what floor the woman had fallen, making the video useless.
As they could not find any clues, they returned to the police station and waited for the results of the forensic identification.
"Didn't you hear the sound of people falling?" man Ho asked Young Min and Ha Ru after they reached their offices.
"I don't know because I slept faster" Ha Ru said.
"Are you sure you're sleeping? or you didn't hear because you did something else" Young Min said.
"What do you mean? " ask Ha Ru who feels that Young Min is looking for trouble with her.
"Already, already. Why don't you listen to me yourself?" man Ho asked Young Min.
"I was too drunk yesterday" Young Min said.
"Ah shit" said Man Ho.
"Of course, we don't have to fight. We just wait for news from forensics after we find out his identity we will know what happened" explained Jang Man.
Elsewhere there was a man who came to Won's office at the hospital.
"What are you doing here?" ask Won about the man.
"Help me. I beg you" said the man named Min Jae.
"I'll do anything if you help me just this once" continued Min Jae.
"What can I do?" ask Won.
"I killed someone and now I think the police know it" Min Jae explained.
"I can't help you, just ask Dad for help" Won said.
"You know for yourself that he would kill me if I told him the truth" Min Jae said.
"I can't help you" replied Won who stood up and wanted to leave his room.
"I know you are capable, I can help you find the person you are looking for right now" said Min Jae.
"What did you say?" asked Won who then turned towards Min Jae.
"What can I help you with?" ask Won.
"Help me not to go to jail" Min Jae replied.
"I'll help you, but how can I believe that the woman you're seeing is the woman I'm looking for?" ask the suspicious Won.
"I knew you'd say that, so I took a picture of the woman. I'll tell you where he is after I'm free" Min Jae said, showing a picture of Min Ji lying in the hospital.
"No, you'll tell me after I get rid of all the evidence and give you an alibi" Won said.
"Alright" Min Jae replied.
After seeing the photo, Won believes Min Jae's words and starts helping him. Min Jae Mulain tells him everything and Won begins to realize that the place where he committed the murder is where Ha Ru lives.
Meanwhile, Young Min and his team have obtained the identity of the woman. The girl is named Han Hyo Min and is still a 16-year-old high school student. From the forensic results, Hyo Min also get sexual violence and she was killed by being stabbed in the stomach which made her lose a lot of blood and eventually died.
Hyo Min lives with her mother in the same apartment as Young Min and Ha Ru. After getting her home address, they immediately rushed to Hyo Min's house. When they got there they rang the bell but no one answered so they were forced to open the house forcibly.
When they entered they saw that Hyo Min's house was very neat and there was no sign of any murder there and it was seen that Hyo Min was living alone in the house.
"Isn't this place too neat" Ha Ru said.
A neighbor who saw several policemen enter the house said that before they had been there were other police who entered the house. Eun So who was outside went inside to tell Young Min and Ha Ru what she had just heard from the next door neighbor.
"The woman next door said that before we had anyone enter this house" said Eun So who was inside.
"Who?" ask Young Min.
"The woman said she was a policeman wearing a white shirt and a mask that covered her face" Eun So explained.
"CCTV check" Young Min orders Eun So.
Eun So long rushed over to check the CCTV of the apartment and sure enough they could see someone wearing forensic limb clothing. Unfortunately, they could not see the man's face.
"Ah, shit.search all the CCTVs around that show the man. Follow in his footsteps" Jang Man orders.
While they were busy looking for CCTV, Ha Ru was still at Hyo Min's house. He checked every corner of the house hoping to get a clue.
"How could someone tidy up this place so quickly? This place is like new. And how could no one recognize Hyo Min when she lives around them? There is something strange about this case" Ha Ru said in her heart.
After finishing looking around Hyo Min's house, Ha Ru went to the house next door.
"Excuse me. " said Ha Ru as she pressed the doorbell next door.
A woman opened the door of her house.
"What can I help you with?" ask the woman.
"I'm a cop, can I ask you something? " ask Ha Ru.
"Please enter" said the woman kindly.
The woman took Ha Ru a drink and sat down in front of Ha Ru.
"Thank you" said Ha Ru.
"Do you know the girl who lives next door?" ask Ha Ru.
"I don't know what I know about a woman living next door. I didn't know that a girl lived there" explained the woman.
"But lately I've never seen that woman again and I saw a girl who never showed her face enter the house" she added.
"How long have they been there?" ask Ha Ru again.
"About 6 months and the woman was not seen for about a month" the woman replied.
"Didn't you hear anything last night?" ask Ha Ru again.
"I don't know. Yesterday I went to my parents' house and just came back this morning. I was so shocked to see someone die here" the woman explained, feeling scared.
"Well, thank you. If you remember anything please contact me" Ha Ru said goodbye as she gave her business card.
"Alright" the woman replied.
When Ha Ru was about to leave, the woman called Ha Ru.
"I remember about a week ago I saw a man enter the house" she said.
"Did you see his face?" ask Ha Ru.
"Of course, you can see on CCTV as well because he's here every day" she added.
After hearing that Ha Ru immediately left and asked for CCTV a week ago. After getting the CCTV he immediately played the video and bingo he got strong evidence.
Ha Ru contacts the captain and informs him of his discovery, Jang Man immediately asks the cyber team to identify the man in the video and soon they get the identity of the man. Eun So tells Young Min that she is outside.
"Lee Min Jae, 22 years old sansu-dong 174" Eun So said on the phone.
Young Min immediately stepped on the gas of his car and headed towards the alamt. The rest of the members immediately moved towards Min Jae's house.
