Chapter 69 (Flashback Ha Ru and Young Min)

Young Min and Kyung Min seem confused because they know Dong Mi's face shows that she is telling the truth but the evidence Jae Hee has is completely accurate.

"You sent this footage to the forensic agency to make sure it's true or not" Young Min ordered Kyung Min as they finished interrogating Dong Mi in the interim.

Kyung Min went directly to the Forensics agency to hand over the tape.

"What do you think?" asked Man Ho who was also in the corridor along with Young Min.

"You don't know, but it looks like we'll have to keep an eye on Jae Hee for a while because everything Dong Mi said isn't a lie" Young Min replied.

"Then let me and Eun Ho keep an eye on him. If he does anything suspicious I'll catch him immediately" Man Ho said

"All right" replied Young Min.

Man Ho and Eun Ho go to watch Jae Hee's movements while Young Min goes to contact Dong Mi's personal assistant but she instead tells Young Min to come see her first at home jong Hyun Family.

Young Min goes there to meet Dong Mi's assistant.

"I've been waiting for you, officer" Assistant Dong Mi said.

"Why do you want to see me?" young Min asked Dong Mi's assistant.

"Where's your partner?" ask Dong Mi's assistant.

"Why are you looking for my partner?" ask Young Min.

"It's okay, I'm just curious" Assistant Dong Mi replied.

"What do you need with me?" ask Young Min.

"I want to provide evidence of the theft that occurred" explained Dong Mi's assistant.

"Where is the evidence?" young Min asked because he saw nothing.

"Jae Hee sold the necklace at a black market in the back of her apartment. If you go there maybe you can find the CCTV and also the necklace" explained Dong Mi's assistant.

"How can I trust you?" ask Young Min.

"Prove it yourself. You can come there" said Dong Mi's assistant.

"If you're lying, I'll also arrest you for playing with the police" Young Min threatened to leave Dong Mi's assistant.

When Young Min was outside someone was waiting for him near the gate.

"What are you doing here?" young Min asked Yo Han.

"I want to ask you something" Yo Han said.

"If it's about Kyung Min, you should ask her directly because I won't answer your question. But one thing is certain that he is still waiting for you and wants to help you" Young Min explained and left Yo Han.

Yo Han could only be speechless, from a distance Jong Hyun was looking towards Yo Han who was talking to Young Min. She felt betrayed by Yo Han but she did not dare to forget her irritation to Yo Han. This time Jong Hyun called Yo Han's parents and told them that Yo Han was in Korea.

"But don't tell Yohan that I told her" said Jong Hyun, then hung up after hearing Yo Han's father's reply.

Meanwhile, Young Min arrives at the place intended by Dong Mi's assistant and there Young Min shows his identity and asks for CCTV footage at the place. The owner immediately gave the CCTV footage to Young Min without explanation from Young Min. Young feels that all the evidence is ready and Young Min just needs to take it.

"There's no need to tell me because the only suspicious person who came to this place was just that guy. He sells expensive diamonds without letters and looks rushed. I've had a lot of customers like that and I don't want to get involved with the police so it's better if I sort things out right away. If you've got the tape, don't involve my store anymore" the store owner said, then kicked Young Min out of the place.

Young Min left feeling confused but he still received the USB. Young Min got into his car and opened the video on his USB with his laptop. In the video, Jae Hee is selling diamonds belonging to Dong Mi. Young Min feels being played by Dong Mi and Jae Hee so she feels confused and upset.

Meanwhile Kyung Mi who was checking the authenticity of the recording found that the recording was fake and had been tampered with by someone.

Kyung Min immediately calls Young Min to tell him about the recording.

"Hello" Kyung Min said on the phone.

"Yes, how did it go?" young Min asks Kyung Min on the phone.

"The results turned out to be true that the recording had been manipulated so the recording Jae Hee gave was fake" Kyung Min explained on the phone.

"Damn it, how dare he cheat the police. We'll move to catch him now" Young Min orders and hangs up.

After hanging up his phone Young Min immediately moves in to catch Jae Hee, not to forget Young Min tells Man Ho and Eun Ho not to lose track of Jae Hee because Jae Hee is the main suspect now.

Soon they all gathered together, including Jang Man, who was monitoring Dong Mi.

"Are you sure he did it?" ask Jang Man to Young Min.

"I'm sure this time because according to the evidence, he had manipulated the footage he gave us as evidence" Young Min explained.

"Alright we'll catch him on the spot" Jang Man said.

After a long negotiation they finally move on and enter the campus where Jae Hee is now. They search for Jae Hee by asking the students around. And finally they find Jae Hee talking to her friend. Jae Hee also sees the arrival from the police so she runs to avoid the police catch.

Young Min and the others chase Jae Hee down the campus corridor and many people see them.

"Jae Hee's... Stop you" Young Min ordered as he shouted.

They kept chasing around in the building and made everyone look at them.

"Ah, fuck. Why is he running so fast?" said Jang Man who looks stopped because he is tired.

After a long run, Jae Hee starts to get tired and slows down her steps.

"Stop chasing me" said Jae Hee who could not stand it.

Jae Hee ends up bumping into a fall so Young Min can easily catch Jae Hee.

"Finally" said Young Min when he arrested Jae Hee.

Jae Hee is taken to the police station for an explanation. Before Young Min could ask, Jae Hee opened her mouth first.

"You know I didn't steal that jewelry I couldn't get away from that woman and she was gonna kill me so I had to steal it so I wouldn't have to be with her anymore" obviously Jae Hee was scared.

"Whatchu mean? " ask Young Min.

"So, after I got in touch with that woman, I just heard that the young men who had been with her were never seen again. All the men are gone like they were swallowed by the earth" Jae Hee explained.
