Chapter 1
“Please... please I” shouted a woman.
The woman was sitting on the floor with her hands tied in a basement, she was standing with her feet full of wounds trying to find a way out. But suddenly a man walked up to him, slowly trying to get away from the man who approached him and holding a hammer.
“Please don't kill me. I'm guilty forgive me. Please forgive me. I won't tell anyone if you save me. Please don't kill me” said the woman named Ji Jin while crying.
“Why did you leave me alone? Didn't I tell you to stay here, if you hear my words maybe I won't get angry like this” said the man while holding Jin's chin, which had been cornered on the wall.
Jin could only cry in fear, his face was bleeding, his hair was messy and his body was shaking in the cold. She was wearing a mini dress because she was kidnapped while she was coming home from a nightclub. The man's hand moved upwards touching his cheek up again his hair and then he pulled Jin's hair and dragged him out.
"Please don't kill me, my mother's home alone. I'm the only breadwinner in my family. Please forgive me, I won't tell anyone else" said Jin, who continued to beg the perpetrator for forgiveness but ignored Jin's plea.
The perpetrator instead grinned, he seemed to enjoy the moment Jin begged him for mercy, then he raised his hammer and hit Jin on the head several times until Jin was unconscious.

Next day
"What's that?" said a middle-aged grandfather who saw a suitcase while working on his farm.
The middle-aged grandfather walked up to the suitcase around his cornfield out of curiosity and opened the suitcase. The middle-aged grandfather immediately fell when he saw the contents of the suitcase which turned out to be the corpse of a woman.
"Discovered a woman's body in the cornfield" a voice from a police radio.
The policeman turned his car around and immediately went to the scene. The police officer was named Kim Young Joon, an experienced senior police officer. This time he was faced with a murder case, according to him it was a serial murder case. He had tried to tell people but they did not want to believe because most serial murder cases ended up being unsolved cases. They want to believe that all of that is just a case of ordinary murder so that they can escape the anger of the community.
“The victim of a woman, the estimated time of death at 02:00 in the morning and also.” said a subordinate of Young Joon named Park Min Ki.
“Also what?” young Joon asked while looking around the scene.
“And also the victim is in the same suitcase as 3 previous victims” replied Min Ki.
“The victim is also covered?” ask Young Joon again.
“True pak” replied Min Ki.
“This is clearly a serial murder case. What about the cause of death?” ask Young Joon.
“Our alleged victim died of a blunt object, but for more certainty we have to wait for the results of forensics” replied Min Ki.
“Like what you said I think this is a serial murder case. I will discuss this with inspector” said Bang Byung Jun who is the captain of Young Joon's team.
Bang Byung Jun went to see the Inspector after returning from the cornfield.
"This time I believe that the recent murders are serial murders" Byung Jun told his superiors.
Hearing Byung Jun's report the Inspector paused for a moment to think. Then he decided to create a special team that would solve the case.
"But this team has to move quietly because if the public knows then it's finished our history. Even the other team doesn't need to know about the case you're working on because I know the big mouth will tell the reporter if he finds out. Make sure it is done before there are more victims" said the inspector who does not want the case to be known to the public first and the case must be completed before there are more victims.
“I will send you the names that will be part of this serial murder case” Inspector Park Han Woo said.
Today Captain Bang Byung Jun informs the criminal team 2, that a recent murder case will be investigated as a serial murder case. The captain also requested that all members of the police force be careful so that this information does not leak public. If the case is leaked it will cause a sense of concern in the community and the captain also informed that a special investigation team will be set up for the case. Of the several names mentioned Kim Young Joon became one of the members of the special team.
"Like his all the members are from criminal team 2 and also there is no other team in this special investigation" said Min Ki.
"Not only us, someone will join us and help with our investigation" Byung Jun replied.
As they return home, Young Joon studies the murder case files late into the night and even falls asleep at his office desk. When he woke up he saw a woman enter the police station, Young Joon thought that the woman was a reporter trying to find news material. He quickly approached the woman and dragged her out. The woman rebelled from being dragged away by Young Joon, he asked Young Joon to let her go and eventually Young Joon released the woman.
“How can you get inside?” ask Young Joon to the woman.
“I'm looking for the team leader of a special investment” said the woman named Han Ha Ru.
“Wah is really a great reporter, how could he know about our special investigation Young Joon's inner” while looking at Ha Ru from top to bottom which made Ha Ru feel uncomfortable.
“Why does anyone see me like that? I can report you for sexual harassment” snapped Ha Ru.
“Hah, I cannot believe you are not my type and civilians should not enter the police station” Young Joon said with annoyance because he was accused of harassing Ha Ru.
“So we beg to go now” Young Joon continued.
Young Joon drags Ha Ru back which makes Ha Ru scream so quickly Young Joon releases his hand from Ha Ru's arm.
“Yes, don't try to take me anymore” Ha Ru yelled to Young Joon.
Amidst the misunderstanding between Young Joon and Ha ru, Byung Jun who is the captain of the special investigation comes and sees Ha Ru. He greets Ha Ru then introduces Ha Ru to Young Joon as a great profiler.
“Letnan Ha Ru will help us during the investigation, I hope you guys can be close and no conflict occurs” explained Byung Jun.
Instantly Young Joon feels awkward for wrongly accusing him and being rude to Ha Ru. The captain asks Young Joon to show their room to Ha Ru and also shows Ha Ru a seat. Young Joon wants to apologize to Ha Ru but hesitates to start the conversation and Ha Ru can feel it.
“For that incident, let's just say it never happened” Ha Ru said as she looked through the scheme installed in their room.
“Because the captain told us to get along, I think that's the thing to do” Ha Ru continued.
“Yes, I also think like that. Thank you and I also apologize for the incident, Young Joon replied with a little bowing his head.
“I heard you were the first to call this case a serial murder. What makes you think so?” asked Ha Ru who still saw the summary of the murder case.
“Initial I thought it was just a regular murder case but after the second murder, the victim was treated the same. Starting from being entered into a suitcase and then enveloped then discarded in a quiet place. The wounds contained in the two victims were also the same, head injuries such as being hit by a hard object and then strangulation wounds on the neck. From that, I concluded that this murder was committed by the same person and the killer must be a psychopath” explained Young Joon.
Ha Ru complimented Young Joon's foresight because Ha Ru thought the same thing. From the beginning Ha Ru had already followed the case and the case had caught her attention. He was so eager to solve the case and wanted to find out who the psychopath was. Ha Ru is so interested in the murders associated with psychopaths, she thinks it's fun to know what's on their minds.
When all had gathered, the captain introduced Ha Ru as a new member. Byung Jun also introduced one by one his members to Ha Ru and hoped that they could become a compact team so that the case could be resolved quickly.
"We also have to hide the identity of Ha Ru, assuming that she is just another member of our team" Byung Jun said.
“Wah, you are so beautiful Lieutenant” praise Min Ki the youngest member on the team.
“Yes, watch your talk” snapped Kwang Min who is Min Ki's senior.
“Sorry to us lieutenant” Kwang Min told Ha Ru.
“No problem” replied Ha Ru.
Just as they were familiarizing themselves, Byung Jun suddenly got a call from someone. He then told Min Ki to turn on the tv with a high tone, making Min Ki quickly take the remote and turn on the tv.
The latest news: serial murder cases have occurred, it turns out that the murder cases that occurred lately are serial murder cases. The police are currently hiding this fact. Why do they hide such an important thing from society? Is it true that the police are afraid of the killer?
It turns out that a fellow cop Byung Jun asks if Byung Jun took over the serial murder case that is now being talked about on tv. They were all shocked by the leak of this secret information. The other cops don't believe they're hiding the case.
