Chapter 15 (Flashback Ha Ru and Young Min)

“I will come back later so you have to shht...mangkal” Won said as she put her hand on her own lips.

Min Ji felt a little relieved because at least he was still alive for now, Min Ji tried to calm himself down. After she calms down, she tries to untie him, now all Min Ji has in mind is to run away before Won returns. Min Ji was looking for something sharp that could cut the rope in his hand, when he saw a large enough piece of glass that could cut the rope but the piece of glass was far away from him. He tried to get closer to himself in every way like walking like a caterpillar.

"ughh.. ughh.." a voice came out of Min Ji's mouth.

Finally he got near the glass, he took the glass and cut the rope that tied his hand. His hand was slightly injured by being hit by the glass, after he managed to open the rope of his hand, he then opened the rope that tied his leg and also the cover of his mouth.

Min Ji tried to stand up but fell down a few times because his legs were so trembling, he felt annoyed that his body could not be invited to cooperate.

"Come on" Min Ji said to his own feet.

When Min Ji was able to stand up he tried to walk while limping towards the door of the basement and was lucky Won forgot to lock the door so he could get out of the room. Min Ji walks up the stairs, seeing if Won is still home or not. As she was about to see a middle-aged man sitting on the sofa of the house who stood up after seeing Won come out.

As they leave the house, Min Ji waits for a while for them to leave the house.

Won who does not know that Min Ji has managed to escape from the room that the ground, he also does not know that he has made a mistake by not locking the door of his basement. The confidence that comes from the experience of murder is always successful, so he does not realize that he has made a small mistake that will later become something fatal.

After feeling safe Min Ji walked up to the door of the house and ran outside. Sunlight made Min Ji's eyes glare because he had been in a dark room without sunlight for a long time. Despite being blocked by the sunlight Min Ji continued to run without the direction he knew just to get away from Won's house. The people around who saw Min Ji running like crazy could only avoid Min Ji out of fear. Min Ji ran without direction all the way to a deserted place where there was no one. When he felt safe he walked towards the highway but unknowingly there was a truck that was doing so Min Ji was hit by the truck. The panicked truck driver fled and left Min Ji's body lying in the middle of the road.

Won who just arrived home realized that Min Ji ran away and immediately looked for him but did not find him. She begins to worry if Min Ji meets other people or the police and tells the truth. Won finally went home and started cleaning the place where he locked Min Ji, he cleaned up the blood stains on the floor and burned all the evidence.

"Basic lady sucks. If I see her again I will kill her immediately" Won said while cleaning her room.

Min Ji was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, as he ran quite a distance so he was away from the hospital where he worked so no one knew him in the hospital where he was being treated.

“The situation is getting more critical, we have to operate it immediately. Is the identity of the victim known?” ask the doctor who treated Min Ji.

“Dok, arrest (heart stop)” said the nurse beside the doctor.

“Prepare the tools” the doctor's orders.

Min Ji entered the operating room without the consent of his guardian because Min Ji's life is more important now.

On the other hand Min Ji's mother came to the police station near her house because her son could not be contacted. When he searches for the hospital where his son works, his colleagues do not know the whereabouts of Min Ji. He reported his missing son but the local police did not take him seriously because Min Ji, who was an adult and also just one day, Min Ji could not be contacted.

“Wait home, your daughter will be back soon. Don't worry too much” said one of the police.

“How can I calm down when my son can't be contacted and he's not at work. She is not someone who left without telling” said Min Ji's mother who felt very upset because the police did not care about her report.

“What if this happens to your child can you still say that? Weren't you supposed to protect the citizens and help the citizens but why don't you care about me” continued Min Ji's mother crying and sitting down.

As Min Ji's desperate mother sits crying downstairs, comes a policewoman who feels responsible and touched by Min Ji's mother's feelings. He helps Min Ji's mother stand up and invites her to sit on the sofa, the police also calm Min Ji's mother.

“We will find the mother's child, so the mother should calm down and return home. If we find your child, our mother will contact you. Don't worry and rest at home” said the policewoman.

One criminal team member returned to the office after finishing lunch to continue the investigation to Bin. They brought Bin back to the investigation room and began to investigate Bin.

“Alright, we will continue this investigation” said Young Min.

“How did you kill Kim Gyuri?” ask Young Min.

“I want a lawyer. I don't trust visa with polis” replied Bin.

“Are you serious about your words? ” said Young Min in high tone.

“Ah, fuck. I would love to put that person in jail” Young Min said after exiting the investigation room.

“Eun So, find him a lawyer” Ha Ru orders to Eun So who was in front of the investigation room at the time.

"Your lawyer will be here soon" Young Min said after returning to the room.

While Min Ji's surgery was successful but she fell into a coma, doctors didn't know when she would be conscious. After the operation they attempted to find Min Ji's identity, the hospital even asked the local police for help. Won is also still trying to find Min Ji's whereabouts, Won then decides to come to the police station where Ha Ru is on duty to make sure that Min Ji does not come to the police station. Won calls Ha Ru to tell her that she is currently at Ilsan police station, and Ha Ru comes out to meet Won.

“Hey, what brings you here?” ha Ru asked Won who was in the parking lot.

“Let's go in first” invite Won to get into his car.

“Alright” said Ha Ru while getting into Won's car.

“Oh, this car is different from the one I saw at hospital” Ha Ru continued when she saw Won's car.

“Ah, the car in the hospital is my friend's car, I borrowed it” Won explained.

“Ah, as it turned out. What's the need here?” ask Ha Ru.

“Nothing, I just miss you” Won said.

“I'm sorry, I'm too busy with my work. We just met again. I want to spend time with you” said Ha Ru feeling guilty for not having time for her lover.

“It's okay. I-i understand. But what keeps you busy?” ask Won.

“I have to investigate one of the murder suspects. You know that suitcase murder that happened a few days ago?” Ask Ha Ru.

“I tau” replied Won.

“We have found the suspect but I feel that the person we arrested is not the culprit. The culprit was meticulous but this fellow looked careless. I hope to find the culprit and get back at you” Ha Ru replied.

“I also want to spend time with you. But why do you think so?” ask Won curiously.

“That's because when we were going to catch him he ran even though he didn't know anything, he just ran in fear. If he was the culprit he wouldn't have run because he didn't leave any evidence so he's sure the police won't catch him. He will also know that running will make him look like the real culprit, the culprit is very smart unlike the suspect we caught. It's just that we don't have direct proof” Ha Ru explained.

“Ahhhh…. I can go crazy” cried Ha Ru.

“Why?” said Won worried.

“Because our time is not much, I have to find something before he is released. You know that the police do not have direct evidence the suspect will be released” Ha Ru said.

“Don't overextend yourself” Won's advice.

“I know but I have to see the real culprit. Looks like I have to go back to the office” said Ha Ru after seeing the message on her phone.

“Alright, be careful. Take care of your health” Won said.

Won who was in the car alone started smiling triumphantly.

“Basic of stupid cops. How could they arrest such a fool as my perfect murderer. And again only my smart lover, he knows that such a person is not suitable for my perfect murder” Won said after Ha Ru left.

Won comes to Ha Ru's office to make sure that Min Ji doesn't come to the office where Ha Ru works and also to find out what happened to Ha Ru. Upon learning that he is safe, Won immediately thinks of a way to kill Bin because he feels Bin is a hindrance to both his and Ha Ru.
