Chapter 43 (Flashback Ha Ru and Young Min)
After successfully capturing the wrecked man. They took the man to the police station for interrogation.
"Say your name and identity number?" ask Young Min in the introductory room.
"I don't remember" said the wretched man.
"Don't mess with us. Name your name and identity number?" ask Young Min again.
"I don't remember" said the wretched man pretending to be a fool.
Young Min and Ha Ru came out of the interrogation room because they could not communicate with the junkyard man.
"What's going on?" jang Man asked as Young Min and Ha Ru entered the surveillance room.
"It seems he has no intention to tell us" Ha Ru said.
"Is there any chance he has a mental disorder?" ask Jang Man again.
"I guess he was just pretending because when I asked him earlier he looked normal and without any problem answered my question" Ha Ru explained.
Even after waiting for Man Ho and Eun So they could not find the identity of the junkyard man.
"We will check the fingerprints and DNA from him" said Jang Man as a final step to find out the identity of the perpetrator.
Young Min and Mah Ho go inside and check the man's fingerprints but the man has no fingerprints. Young Min and Man Ho were shocked to find that they had DNA tests done by taking hair from the man and sending it to the forensic agency.
"We should be able to get him to open his mouth" Ha Ru said while in the surveillance room along with Jang Man and Eun So.
"But how? He did not want to open his mouth and just said he did not remember" asked Jang Man.
Ha Ru thought she was looking for a way to open her mouth and stop pretending to be crazy. When they were faced with a difficult situation they suddenly got a call from the hospital telling them that Yu Ri was conscious.
"Ha Ru, you and Young Min will go to the hospital to see Yu ri's state, while Man Ho and Eun So will meet Ki Bum so he wants to identify the wrecked man tomorrow morning and I will go to forensics to hand over the man's DNA. After that you can go home and come back tomorrow morning" explained Jang Man giving them orders.
After Young Min and Man Ho finished taking the man's DNA, they immediately left and did their job.
During the trip Young Min held Ha Ru's hand and occasionally kissed Ha Ru's hand.
"Can you let go of my hand?" asked Ha Ru who felt that what Young Min was doing was a little excessive.
"Why?" ask Young Min.
"I want you to focus while driving" Ha Ru replied lyingly.
"Alright" Young Min replied and released Ha Ru's hand.
"Are you going to stay at my house again tonight?" young Min asked Ha Ru.
"can't. I have to go home with Won today" Ha Ru replied, rejecting Young Min.
"alright. But tomorrow you have to stay at my house" Young Min told Ha Ru.
"I can't promise that" Ha Ru replied.
Soon they arrived at the hospital where Yu Ri was treated, which is Won hospital working.
"Yu Ri was already conscious but when she saw her father she was hysterical and did not want to see her father. Doctor Yu Ri said that she was still traumatized and she asked that we can give Yu Ri time" Yu Ri's mother explained as she wept at the condition of her daughter.
"We have arrested the perpetrator and we make sure he will get the right punishment" Ha Ru explained as she held Yu Ri's mother's hand.
Unwittingly Ha Ru has excessive sympathy towards Yu ri's family which makes her very eager to help them and feel angry with the perpetrator. They were also waiting for the psychiatrist who was going to check on Yu Ri who was coming tomorrow morning.
Elsewhere, Man Ho and Eun So come to Ki Bum's house to ask for help so that Ki Bum can identify the perpetrator they are currently arresting.
"alright. Tomorrow we will stop by the police station" replied Ki Bum's mother who was willing to help the police.
At the hospital, Young Min and Ha Ru meet Won who is on duty.
"Ha Ru" call Won from a distance.
Ha Ru who saw Won had panicked because she was afraid that Won would find out about her affair with Young Min.
"What are you doing here?" ask Won to Ha Ru.
"I'm looking at the victim of the case I'm handling" Ha Ru replied awkwardly.
He did not expect that his affair and girlfriend would meet at the same place.
"Are you done?" ask Won to Ha Ru.
"Yes" Ha Ru replied.
"Wait a minute. I'll be done too. We go home together" asked Won who was approved by Ha Ru.
Can be seen from the look on his face Young Min who looks dislike when Ha Ru and Won are together. After Won left to do his duty, Young Min immediately protested to Ha Ru.
"Are we not supposed to go home together?" young Min said to Ha Ru.
"I'm sorry, I can't refuse Won's request because he's my girlfriend" Ha Ru explained.
"Then what about me?" ask Young Min who is jealous of Won.
"Didn't I tell you that I want to forget everything but you don't want to do it so I can't do anything" Ha Ru replied.
Instantly Young Min is slapped by the reality of her status which is only an affair from Ha Ru.
"All right, let me go first" Young Min said with sadness and disappointment.
Seeing Young Min leaving just like that made Ha Ru feel guilty and she shouldn't have said that to Young Min.
Soon Won came and invited Ha Ru to come home together. On the way home Won accidentally sees a red mark on Ha Ru's neck that makes her suspicious. Then he stopped his car suddenly which made Ha Ru surprised.
"What's wrong? Why did you stop this car so suddenly?" ask Ha Ru who is wondering what Won is doing.
Won removed his seatbelt and directly opened the collar that covered Ha Ru's neck. Although Ha Ru has tried her hardest to stop Won but she cannot fight Won's strength. After successfully opening the collar and as Won expected, Ha Ru's neck was filled with red marks.
"I can explain" Ha Ru said when Won saw the red marks made by Young Min on her body.
