Chapter 13 (Flashback Ha Ru and Young Min)

Won takes Min Jin to a place far from the city center and can say that the place is like a dead place. In a dark, unused barn, an unconscious Min Ji is tied up in a chair. Won who held him was not seen around Min Ji who was just a suitcase and a blanket. Before long Min Ji finally realized with his mouth covered with duct tape he was trying to scream for help. Min Ji also tried to untie her but all the effort was in vain she still remained bound to the seat. Then suddenly Won came by making a sound of iron and iron rubbing against each other. The voice was getting more and more clear it made Min Ji try harder to break the bond. Soon she can see Won in front of her with a hammer. Min Ji who saw the thing that Won was carrying felt even more scared.

“Do you like this place?” won asks Min Ji who is tied up in front of him.

“I hope you like this place. Here no one will find us so we can do as we please, Won said as he stroked Min Ji's hair.

"Why are you looking at me like that? I guess you like me and I specifically chose this place so that we can be as alone as you want" Won explained again.

“Mmmmm...mmmmmmm...mmmmmm....mmmm.” sounds from Min Ji whose mouth is being bandaged.

“I don't understand what you're saying” Won said as he mocked Min Ji.

“Alright I will release the duct tape” Won said as he removed the duct tape that stuck to Min Ji's mouth.

“Please... please... please.. someone here please..” shouted Min Ji after Won released the duct tape.

“Just be free, no one will hear you. Don't you like me so why are you asking for help when we can be alone?” ask Won to Minji.

“Why? Why?” scream Won.

“Basic women are all the same,” Won continued after calming himself so as not to get angry.

“I'm sorry.please don't kill me” said Min Ji who pleaded with Won to be released.

“Alright, I won't kill you. I'm just going to play with you” Won said as he lifted the hammer he was holding and hit Min Ji on the head several times with the hammer.

The helpless Min Ji could only cry feeling the intense pain from treating Won. Won seemed to smile as he hit Min Ji on the head, his face showing that he was very satisfied with what he was doing. Min Ji returns unconscious after being hit by Won's hammer. After hitting Min Ji suddenly Won's phone rang, she got an emergency call from the hospital so she had to stop her activities and return to the hospital.

"So, they just disturb" Won said after hanging up his phone call.

Won takes care of the place and puts Min Ji in the trunk of his car. He also took off his shirt that was hit by Min Ji's blood so that no one would know that he wanted to kill Min Ji.

Elsewhere Ha Ru and Young Min have reached their offices, they explain the cause of Gyuri's death, Young Min also scolded Man Ho who had a big mouth because of the speech Man Ho Gyuri family so suffered. When they arrive, Jang Man tells them that Jang Man has found the perpetrator who killed Gyuri. Jang Man explains that if the culprit is Gyuri's ex-boyfriend, the man also likes to be violent to Gyuri while they are still dating.

Now Eun So is investigating the whereabouts of Gyuri's lover. Jang Man also finds a motive for the murder because the boyfriend does not accept the decision of Gyuri. While others are relieved that they have found the culprit, Ha Ru feels unsure that Gyuri's lover is the culprit.

Because the perpetrator is known, they are currently on duty to guard in places that may be visited by the perpetrator. Ha Ru and Young Min are in charge of overseeing the house of Bin Gyuri's lover.

“You must be tired. Sleep for a while let me keep an eye on this house” Young Min ordered.

“All right I will rest for a while, if you want to rest you wake me up. But are you sure that Gyuri's ex-boyfriend killed her?” asked Ha Ru who was still unsure.

"Can. We'll know later" said Young Min.

Ha Ru starts to close her eyes in the car, while Young Min keeps an eye on Bin's house. Over the course of a few hours keeping an eye on Bin's house, Bin is seen walking home with black plastic in his arms. Young Min woke Ha Ru up, after Ha Ru woke up they got out of the car and walked closer to Bin. Bin who felt that Ha Ru and Young Min were walking closer to him slowly walked backwards and finally ran while throwing a black plasti in his hand towards Young Min and Ha Ru.

“Yes, stop you” shouted Young Min as he continued running after Bin.

Bin ran as hard as he could through the streets full of people then while running Bin almost hit a food deliveryman it made him fall because trying to avoid the motorbike. The motorbike driver also fell so that a small accident occurred in that place that made Bin caught by Young Min and Ha Ru.

Due to Bin being slightly injured, Young Min and Ha Ru have to take Bin to the hospital to treat his injuries. After arriving at the hospital, a doctor was on guard to treat Bin's knee that was bleeding from the accident. At that time Young Min got a phone call to immediately bring Bin to the police station after being treated. Ha Ru goes out leaving Bin and Young Min, she sits in the waiting room while being seated Won sees Ha Ru and immediately approaches her.

“Hey, what are you doing here? Are you hurt?” asked Won while sitting next to Ha Ru.

“Oh, Won. I'm it's okay. Our suspect was injured so he had to be treated first. Sorry I can't be with you today. Then why are you still here?” ask Ha Ru.

“Ah, there was a sudden emergency operation so I had to get back here. At first I was upset but after meeting you I felt lucky” Won said with a smile.

“Really? Then I feel relieved. I will never let you go again like I used to” Won said.

“I'm glad to hear that. So are you staying with your dad now?” ask Ha Ru.

“No, I live alone now but we still keep in touch. So when are you gonna move into my house? ” bargain Won.

“I don't know, I haven't thought about it yet, but I can't do it anytime soon because my team is investigating a very important case. So I do not have time to give my goods” said Ha Ru who was not leaning on Won's boat.

“Alright, I also need to clean my house first” Won said.

“What happened to your hand?” said Ha Ru who saw Won's hand flushed from holding the hammer too hard.

“Ah, it's okay. Don'worry. Just a little red” Won said.

As they were busy talking unconsciously Young Min noticed them from earlier, she saw the smile on Ha Ru's face for the first time and right then and there she felt that she would not be able to step in Ha Ru's heart.

“Ha Ru, let's go back to the office” shouted Young Min from a distance.

Young Min's shout made Ha Ru and Won both look at Young Min. Young Min walked towards them. But Young Min and Won are still both staring at each other with facial expressions that are difficult to interpret and also without a smile. They stopped staring at each other after Young Min greeted Won by bowing his head, Won returns a greeting from Young Min and Young Min leaves with Ha Ru to return to his office.

"I'll call you when my case is over" Ha Ru told Won.

Ha Ru and Young Min take Bin to their parked car below.

“Ya, why did you run away from us?” young Min asked Bin while waiting for the elevator.

“Because I'm afraid” replied Bin.

“Why are you afraid? Did you do anything wrong?” ask Ha Ru.

Bin did not answer Ha Ru's question and that was when the elevator door opened, the three of them entered the elevator.

“If you are innocent do not run because if you run it means you are guilty” said Ha Ru.

Ha Ru feels that Bin is not the perpetrator of the murder because Bin does not look like a killer and again he is not as calm as the killer. Bin just ran away when he saw Ha Ru and Young Min so if he killed someone for sure he would leave behind evidence. Finally they arrived at the parking lot but Young Min looked confused looking for his old car.

“Ah, where is my car. Lately I often forget if parking the car in a large place like this”, Young Min said as he continued to search for his car.

After a while they were finally able to find Young Min's car.

“Aish, so tired I” Bin said.

“You're definitely not a cop ya” Bin said doubting Young Min.

“Ya, do you want to die?” replied Young Min who was feeling a little annoyed by Bin's remark.

As Bin and Young Min acted a little childishly by insinuating each other suddenly Ha Ru heard the sound of someone banging on the door.

“Sttttt... did you guys hear anything?” ask Ha Ru.

“Heard what?” ask Young Min.

“Like the sound of people banging on the door” Ha Ru replied.

Ha Ru walked up to the sound and then saw a car that she believed was the source of the sound.
