Chapter 7

The Ilsan police station

At that time Ha Ru was going out for lunch with her teammate, they looked very happy after solving the serial murder case that occurred there.

“All this is thanks to Ha Ru and Young Min so we can get an award from Inspector”.

“Do not say that. This is all thanks to the cooperation of our team” Young Min said.

While having fun and laughing together, suddenly Ha Ru permission came out to pick up the phone. Young Min followed Ha Ru out of worry. Young Min heard from a distance Ha Ru was having a fight with someone. After Ha Ru turned off her phone Young Min appeared to approach Ha Ru.

“Is something wrong?” asked Young Min who was worried about Ha Ru.

“Ah, there is nothing” Ha Ru replied because she did not want to make Young Min worried.

“Is it from Won? Is he still bothering you after you guys broke up?” ask Young Min.

“I can handle it. Don't worry” Ha Ru replied.

“No, let me do it. I am now your girlfriend” said Young Min.

“Young Min-ssi, Won is a dangerous person so let me handle it he won't hurt me. Just hide yourself well, if something happens to you everything will be very difficult” Ha Ru explained while holding Young Min's hand.

Young Min hugged Ha Ru while rubbing her hair, feeling guilty for hiding behind Ha Ru instead of protecting Ha Ru.

Those who were hugging were unaware that if Won saw them, he clenched his hands and looked very angry.

“I love you, you are mine no one can touch and have you” Won said as she looked at Haru and then kissed Ha Ru's lips.

Ha Ru returns Won's kiss, slowly Won lulls Ha Ru's body over the sofa they're sitting on. Won stopped kissing Ha Ru's lips and looked at her for a moment while stroking her hair.

"You are so beautiful today" Won said.

He then picked up Ha Ru, taking her away into the room. Won opened the shirt he was wearing and then slowly unbuttoned Ha Ru's shirt one by one until it opened everything. After it opened all he went back to kissing Ha Ru's lips, this time he did it violently. Won recalls when Ha Ru was ushered home by Young Joon which made her jealous again. So that he was getting rougher to Ha Ru, he kissed and bit Ha Ru's body part so that it left a bite mark. Several times Ha Ru tried to push Won's body over him but to no avail.

"You hurt me" Ha Ru said as she endured the pain of Won's bite.

Suddenly an unknown memory arrives, she recalls a murdered cop and a blood-soaked Won. Ha Ru's eyes widened in shock in disbelief at what had just crossed her mind. Won who realized Ha Ru did not react stopped her activity and looked at Ha Ru.

“Why you?” ask Won.

“Ha Ru, you why? Ha Ru...” call Won again.

“Ah, I'm fine, I suddenly remembered the victims of serial murders I was dealing with” Ha Ru replied lying.

“Should we stop this?” tawar Won's.

“I think yes, forgive me” said Ha Ru.

“I understand how much you want to solve this case” Won said.

Ha Ru kissed Won's lips at a glance as her gratitude for understanding her feelings. Ha Ru immediately put on her clothes and walked out of the room towards the living room. He pretended to open the files of the serial murder case so that his lies look perfect.

“Are you not going to sleep?” won asked as he approached Ha Ru and sat down beside her.

“It seems not, I have to find the culprit immediately. This time the culprit is very ingenious” replied Ha Ru who was still thinking about what came to her mind.

“Can I help you?” asked Won while putting his head on Ha Ru's shoulders.

“Nothing, don't you have to go to the hospital for a seminar tomorrow morning? Quickly go to sleep” said Ha Ru trying to drive Won away.

“Alright, I'll sleep first. Don't force yourself” Won said and left Ha Ru.

After Won left, Ha Ru thought about the memory that suddenly appeared in her head earlier.

"It was just a dream, but it felt real and I didn't sleep. Then what does that memory mean" Ha Ru said to herself.

Then Ha Ru remembered that she had had an accident and at that time she was out of the police for 6 months. He wondered if this was part of his lost memory. Ha Ru was so curious that she decided to look for information about what happened earlier to the place she was on duty before the accident.

The next day they went to the bank that Yu Chan used but since they did not have a search warrant they did not get anything from the bank.

"Ah. What do we do now? Hasn't there been any news from the captain? " ask the upset Kwang Min.

"We'll wait for news from the captain. Now we go back" Young Joon said.

When Kwang Min and Min Ki go into their car first, Ha Ru pulls Young Joon's hand.

"Can you take me somewhere first? " pinta Ha Ru to Young Joon.

"Where?" ask Young Joon.

"My old workplace" Ha Ru replied.

Young Joon agrees to Ha Ru's request without asking for Ha Ru's reason. They immediately rushed off to Ilsan where Ha Ru served earlier.

“What are you back there for?” ask the curious Young Joon when they are in the car.

“There's something I need to know” Ha Ru replied.

“If you can know what it is?” ask Young Joon again.

“Actually I have had an accident and lost my memory, yesterday I happened to remember something quite terrible that made me curious. So I decided to find out my past” Ha Ru explained to Young Joon.

Somehow Ha Ru easily told Young Joon about her but Ha Ru felt that Young Joon was trustworthy and that he also felt safe when he was near Young Joon. Therefore he explains things to Young Joon even his current condition which is only known by Won.

Not long after they got to where Ha Ru used to work. Ha Ru walked into the police station and like no stranger, she walked over without asking anyone. He walked and walked until he finally stopped in front of a room where there were many detectives working. They seem busy to not know the presence of Ha Ru and Young Joon.

“Ha Ru” calls someone from behind Ha Ru and Young Joon.

The voice made Ha Ru look back and see a man who looked quite old standing behind her.

“True, Ha Ru. Howareyou? Have not seen each other for a long time. Why are you suddenly taking a vacation? I heard that you moved to Seoul right now huh” said the man who turned out to be team leader Ha Ru while he was still on duty at Ilsan.

“You who? Do you know me” said Ha Ru who was confused because that person was so familiar with Ha Ru.

“I'm Shin Jang Man, your team leader first. Don't you remember me?” said Jang Man who felt astonished by Ha Ru.

“Sorry, I can't remember you, I had an accident and lost my memory” Ha Ru explained.

“What? The accident? So you took a leave of absence due to an accident? Why didn't you tell me?” asked Jang Man who looked worried about Ha Ru.

“Because I don't remember anything so I can't tell you” Ha Ru said.

“Are you okay now?” asked Jang Man anxiously.

“I'm fine. Ah actually I came here to find out what happened before I had an accident. Can you tell me?” pinta Ha Ru to Jung Man.

“Of course, but I can't explain it here so come with me” Jung Man said.

Ha Ru and Young Joon follow Jung Man, they exit the police station walking down a narrow alley. They walked far enough just to talk about Ha Ru's past, they had to pass through many alleys like towards a hidden place where no one would find them.

“Do we need to walk this far?” ask Young Joon.

“Of course, I don't want anyone to follow us or hear us” talks explained Jang Man.

Soon they arrive at a small restaurant that does not look like a restaurant. People who just pass by won't even know that this is a restaurant. They sat down and ordered food.

“Actually after you take time off at the office it becomes very suspicious even you did not tell me that you took leave even you permission to the Inspector when taking leave” explained Jang Man.

“Inspector? Am I close to Inspector?” asked Ha Ru curiously.

“No, you even hate him because the Inspector is a corrupt cop and we all know but because there are people protecting him we can't do anything” said Jang Man.

“Then what else?” ask Ha Ru.

“Ah before your accident actually Young Min died killed but the Inspector quickly closed his case and one day after the incident you immediately took leave” said Jang Man.

“Young Min? Who is he?” ask Ha Ru.

“Partnermu first, you guys are so close to making your girlfriend jealous” said Jang Man.

“Ah was right too, before Young Min was killed she asked me to hand this over tou” Jang Man continued while giving her the photo she took from her wallet.

Ha Ru and Young Joon looked at the photo and they looked very surprised by what the picture was.
