Chapter 23 (Flashback Ha Ru and Young Min)

The next day Young Min and Ha Ru go to the villa in the middle of the forest, where Min Jae is held captive. As they enter, they see the lifeless Min Jae.

"Cap, I've found Min Jae" Young Min said on the phone.

While Young Min calls Jang Man, Ha Ru checks the house and finds a letter written by Min Jae. There is everything from where Hyo Min's mother is to how she killed Hyo Min. With the letter Min Jae's case is closed and they search Hyo Min's house and find Hyo Min's mother in a large refrigerator.

Thanks to Min Jae's help, the case is solved and Min Jae is declared a suicide. Meanwhile, Min Jae's mother, who does not believe that her son committed suicide, asks the police to investigate his son's case, but the police ignore Min Jae's mother's words.

"My son didn't kill himself but was killed. Please arrest the culprit" said Min Jae's mother who was at the police station.

Min Jae's mother stopped Ha Ru who was walking inside.

"Please trust me. My son cannot kill himself. Please arrest the perpetrator" Min Jae's mother told Ha Ru.

Ha Ru who was about to leave was still detained by Min Jae's mother.

"I have proof that he's not the one who would kill himself like that" Min Jae's mother said once again.

This time Ha Ru listens to Min Jae's mother and takes him to a cafe near the police station for further chats.

"How can you be sure Min Jae didn't kill himself?" asked Ha Ru curiously.

"Because before going abroad she told me on the phone that she was going to take revenge on her brother" Min Jae's mother said.

"his brother? Does Min Jae have a brother?" ask Ha Ru again.

"Yes, even though he is not registered as a family anymore but he has an older brother" explained Min Jae's mother.

"Do you have any evidence? And who is Min Jae's brother?" ask Ha Ru.

"I have proof. I always record our conversations on the phone. And also I can't tell you who Min Jae's brother is because if I tell anyone else my husband will kill me" Min Jae's mother said while trembling in fear.

"I'll send you the file. So excuse me" said Min Jae's mother.

"Wait first. Take-take this. My business card" Ha Ru said as she gave her business card.

Min Jae's mother took the business card and left Ha Ru.

Ha Ru returns to the police station and Ha Ru's team is currently focusing on a case of murder in a suitcase that has eaten 2 victims.

"It feels so good when one case is over" said Man Ho who had just arrived.

"Don't be happy we still have a case that is no less difficult" said Jang Man while giving case files to Man Ho.

"What's this?" ask Man Ho.

"Our new case" said Jang Man.

"Alright now we will investigate the case that happened in the warehouse near Min Jae in arrest. The woman named Min Ji was a nurse and was found in a suitcase" Jang Man explained.

"It's not the same as the case that happened a few weeks ago" said Eun So.

"It's true but the cause of death is different so we can't relate this case to Gyuri's case" Jang Man explained.

"So it's possible that the actor is not the same person" Young Min said.

"But from how they were thrown away, everything looked the same. And there can be no imitation because we have not published the Gyuri case" explained Ha Ru who felt there was something strange about both cases.

"If the culprit is the same, it's probably a serial murder case" Young Min added.

"We can't conclude now. You go to Min Ji's parents' house" Jang Man orders Man Ho and Eun So.

"While you two check back at the hospital where Min Ji works" Jang Man orders Young Min and Ha Ru.

They immediately went to Min Ji's house and also Min Ji's place of work. Upon her arrival Young Min and Ha Ru at Min Ji's working hospital they begin to ask the sisters about Min Ji and get the info that Min Ji is a nice and friendly person not never done anything bad to anyone. They also get the same info that Min Ji likes Won. Hearing that Ha Ru felt a little jealous and her mood got bad.

After that they went to interview Won.

"Are you okay?" ask Young Min.

"I'm not pa-pa. Why emang?" ask Ha Ru.

"Your rich face is angry" Young Min said as he looked at Ha Ru's face.

"I don't pa-pa kok" Ha Ru replied as she walked to the IGD where Won was on duty that day.

Won who was about to come out saw Young Min and Ha Ru so he immediately approached them.

"What are you doing here?" asked Won who was surprised to see Ha Ru was in the hospital.

"Min Ji's case huh? " ask Won again.

"Yes. Do you have a minute? There are some things we want to ask about Min Ji" Ha Ru said.

"of course. Let's go to my room" Won asked.

They follow Won into his room and sit on the sofa.

"You have your own room even if you're not a professor" Young Min quipped Won.

"Ah, that's because I also helped build this hospital and it can be as you can see this is not a big hospital so there are not many senior doctors here" obviously Won while giving a mix of coffee to Young Min and Ha Ru.

"so apparently. Then I asked directly. Do you know Min Ji? " ask Young Min frankly.

"Of course, she's one of the sisters here" Won replied.

"Do you know him personally?" young Min asked again which made Ha Ru feel tense because she was afraid of Won's answer.

"No, I don't know him personally. Sometimes she becomes a nurse who accompanies me when I'm in practice" Won replied.

"I heard Min Ji likes you. Did he never tell you?" ask Won again.

"No. He was really nice to me but I didn't know he liked me" Won replied.

"I think that's enough for today. We will come again next time" said Ha Ru who felt awkward with Young Min's question.

Ha Ru drags Young Min who doesn't want to get out of Won's room.

"What are you doing? You can't be rich you're being professional" said Young Min, who was upset by Ha Ru's behavior.

"I'm sorry. It's just that we can come back again tomorrow" Ha Ru replied limply.

Seeing Ha Ru's condition, Young Min obeyed Ha Ru's will and finally they returned to the office.

Young Min who turns out to be also upset when he sees Won who is the lover of the woman he likes unknowingly corners Won with all her questions. He wants to prove that Won is having an affair with Min Ji but it doesn't work and instead makes Ha Ru feel uncomfortable.

Meanwhile Man Ho and Eun So go to Min Ji's parents' house.

"Good day, we from the police want to ask you something about your child" Man Ho told Min Ji's parents.

Min Ji's parents invited Man Ho and Eun So to come in.

"If you may know if there was anything strange about Min Ji before he disappeared?" ask Man Ho.

"none. It's just that he seemed happy and happy when he called me" said Min Ji's mother.

"Didn't Min Ji say something weird like he had a lover or something? " ask Man Ho again.

"Oh yes he said that he would date someone he likes and send this picture" said Min Ji's mother, showing a photo sent by her daughter.

They see Min Ji wearing a blue scarf before she disappears but in the suitcase they do not find the scarf so Man Ho asks permission to take a picture of Min Ji from his mother's phone.

After seeing the scarf they say goodbye to Min Ji's mother and return to the office.

In the office they start sharing the information they get.

"According to her mother Min Ji, Min Ji seemed happy because she was going to date someone she liked. He was also wearing this outfit and also this flashy-looking scarf" Man Ho explained as he showed a photo he got of Min Ji's mother.

"Then what about you guys?" jang Mqn asked Young Min and Ha Ru after seeing the photo brought by Man Ho.

"We haven't got anything yet" Young Min said.

"Didn't you guys meet the nun who told you about the gift Min Ji got? " ask Eun So.

"Susters? no one told us that was quiet" Young Min said.

"A few days ago when we were there a nun came over and said that Min Ji was happy because she got a gift and was going out on a date with someone she liked" obviously Eun So.

"Do you know the sister's name?" ha Ru asked Eun So.

"I don't remember" Eun So replied.

"The nun's name is Park Shin Ji" said Man Ho who suddenly remembered the nun he met a few days ago.

"I remember now. I read the name tag she was wearing so I knew what the sister's name was" Man Ho continued.

Young Min and Ha Ru go to the hospital again to find a nun named Park Shin Ji.
