Chapter 14 (Flashback Ha Ru and Young Min)
An unconscious Min Ji was put in the trunk with his mouth closed, hands and feet bound. After Won left his car Min Ji was still unconscious but after a few hours Min Ji started to wake up. Min Ji looked around which only a dark, narrow room could be seen and then he used his legs to kick around the car to make a sound so that someone could save him. Min Ji did that long enough until he felt tired and soon Min Ji heard the voice of people and ornag iru was the voice of Young Min and Bin who were arguing. Min Ji then tried to make another sound and Ha Ru heard that.
Ha Ru gets closer to Won's car and when Min Ji is about to approach Won suddenly comes.
“Hey, it turns out you are still here?” said Won.
“Iya, is that your car?” ask Ha Ru.
“Iya, what is it?” ask Won.
“It looks like I heard something from your car” Ha Ru said.
“You must have misheard” Won said as he invited Ha Ru to stay away from his car.
“What is it?” answer Ha Ru.
“Don't you have to go back to the office immediately?” ask Won.
“Oh yes, well then I go first” Ha Ru said as she ran towards Young Min and Bin.
“Where have you been?” young Min asked as Ha Ru got into her car.
“Not from anywhere, let's go” Ha Ru replied.
They also went to the police station. Ha Ru was still thinking about the voice coming from Won's car because she was very sure that she didn't hear wrong. Ha Ru feels Won is hiding something from her but she tries not to be suspicious of Won.
After Ha Ru left Won opened her trunk and then silenced Min Ji's mouth and nose with a handkerchief that had been given sleeping pills so that Min Ji would not be noisy. When Min Ji was unconscious, Won closed her trunk and drove her car to a safe place to clean up Min Ji.
On the other hand Ha Ru and Young Min have arrived at their offices and Bin has also been in the investigation room. Ha Ru and Young Min also entered the same investigation room as Bin.
“Alright we will start the investigation” said Young Min.
“Do you know Kim Gyuri?” ask Young Min.
“I've never met him. I swear, I've not disturbed his” replied Bin.
“Do you know that Gyuri is dead?” ask Young Min again.
“What? How can?” tanya Bin doesn't believe.
“You should know more about how he died” replied Young Min.
“What do you mean?” tanya Bin doesn't understand.
“Because you killed him” replied Young Min.
“What? I couldn't have killed him. I swear, I just followed him but I didn't kill him, I'm not the killer” Bin replied.
“That's possible, you even molest Gyuri a lot when you're dating. Then he decides you and you don't accept it because because you still love him then you kill him out of grudge against him” Young Min explained with great emphasis.
“No way, I haven't even met him lately” Bin replied.
“Are you sure?” ask Young Min.
Bin could only remain silent and did not answer Young Min's question. Young Min then shows Bin a CCTV video. The CCTV footage shows Bin following Gyuri the day before the murder. Bin who saw the video strongly denied that he did not kill Gyuri.
“Can you provide proof that you didn't kill him? You even lied if you didn't see him. How can I trust you? ” asked Ha Ru who realized that she just quietly watched Young Min investigate Bin.
“But I really didn't kill him, trust me detektif” Bin said pleading as he felt unfair.
“Shelf...” Young Min's voice kicked off the table.
“Stop lying and confess. All the evidence is on you” Young Min said in a high tone as she stood up and brought her face closer to Bin.
“Calm down, let me ask him. You better wait outside for a while” said Ha Ru out of fear that Young Min will do violence to Bin.
After Young Min walked out of Ha Ru's room near Bin, she sat down at a table near Bin. Ha Ru brought her lips closer to Bin and whispered something.
“I know you're not the culprit, so think of something that could prove that you're not the culprit. Whatever it is that can free you so the perpetrator” whispered Ha Ru who then came out of the investigation room.
After Ha Ru came out, Bin was taken to jail while there Bin thought of something that could be used as evidence so that he could be free from the accusation then he thought if he installed a camera in front of Gyuri's house to watch over Gyuri. Bin became worried because it was illegal and he could have been jailed for it. But being a stalker is better than being a killer.
"Guard, I want to talk to the policewoman. Please call him" Bin shouted from inside the temporary cell.
Meanwhile, Jang Man invites his team members to lunch before continuing the investigation as well as to calm the emotion-borne Young Min.
“Why do I think Bin is not the real culprit? Her face doesn't look like a killer” Eun So said as they walked towards their subscription restaurant.
“Tampang can be deceiving so do not easily judge the face of someone” said Young Min who was still upset and made the atmosphere tense.
“Hey, already...we don't need to discuss that issue now. Oh yeah, Ha Ru do you like kimchi jigae?” ask Man Ho to change the subject.
“Of course, I love it” Ha Ru said.
“Then I'm sure you'll really like this place because it's so famous a long time ago. Captain has become a subscription here and also the owner is a former detective also” explained Man Ho.
“But when will we arrive?” asked Ha Ru who felt that she had come a long way but not to the extent.
“Ah, soon until not to worry” said Jang Man.
It had been thirty minutes since Jang Man said that they would arrive but they had not arrived. Because of the narrow road they can only walk to get there. After forty-five minutes of walking they finally arrived at their favorite little restaurant.
“We ordered kimchi jigae five servings” Jang Man told the restaurant owner who is the wife of the detective.
“Captain, since when do you know this place?” eun So asked out of curiosity.
“Ah, this restaurant used to belong to my partner's mother then after that my colleague retired he finally continued this business because we often came here so this place is a hidden place that only we know. We used to discuss cases here” explained Jang Man.
After hearing Jang Man's voice a man in a wheelchair came out from inside his house that was fused with the restaurant. Jang Man who looked at that person with a warm gaze and it turned out that person was Jang Man's partner first.
“How are you?” han Su asked Jang Man.
“I'm fine. How about you?” ask Jang Man.
“He's not okay. I think he really misses being a detective” replied Han Su's wife while giving their order.
“Then you can go back to work” said Jang Man.
“No, what can a man who cannot walk like me do. I'll just be a burden on the team. I am satisfied with my work now, far from the danger” Han Su said lying.
“You must be careful on duty, prioritize your safety” Han Su messages to team member Jang Man.
“Ah, I have so much to say, please enjoy your food” continued Han Su and left them.
After they finished lunch, they returned to the office .
On the other hand, Won takes Min Ji to the basement of his house, there he wanted to finish what he had already done.Won who saw Min Ji who had realized immediately took the scarf he gave to Min Ji and draped it around Min Ji's neck then he pulled the scarf that's with strong. Min Ji who felt suffocated tried to rebel but his efforts were in vain because he was not as strong as Won. Won really enjoys what he is doing, amidst the pleasure he is experiencing, Won's father suddenly rings Won's house bell. Won is forced to let go of Min Ji's neck and tie Min Ji back up and walk up to open the door.
“What are you doing here?” ask Won when his father comes in.
“Quick change your clothes, we have to go somewhere” tell father Won.
Won followed his father's orders, he changed his clothes and left with his father. His father plans to match Won to the daughter of the chief prosecutor. Won who knows nothing just follows his father's orders. But Won is worried about leaving Min Ji alone in his house. But he had no other choice.
When he got there he was surprised to see a girl sitting with his parents, he realized what his father was planning. At first Won sits quietly, then when the phone comes in he pretends it's an emergency phone. He asked for permission to return to the hospital. Won was lucky because shortly after he sat down there was a call from a fellow doctor, so he managed to escape his father's plan.
Won who returned home, looked confused because the gate of his house was open he had a hunch that Min Ji ran away so he ran into his house and sure enough Min Ji ran away from Won's house. Won looked very agitated because Min Ji had already seen his face.
"Damn, I should have killed him immediately" Won said.
