"Why are you smiling?" ameer asked who realized Meizia was looking at him since then while continuing to stare a smile.
"You're such a handsome guy, anyway" praised Meizia who made Ameer laugh straight away.
"Did you know? Since marriage, only now do you praise my good looks." Ameer raised his eyebrows at his wife.
"Ah time?" meizia asked as she approached Ameer who was standing in front of the dressing table, she placed her hands on her husband's chest and even she blatantly inhaled the masculine scent of her husband's body.
"You smell good too, dear."
Ameer gawked at the compliment, especially after she looked at the wife's face that was now closing her eyes.
"What's wrong with you, hem?" Ameer pulled both of Meizia's cheeks gently, feeling anxious about Meizia's increasingly becoming behavior.
"I'm just praising my husband, can't it be?" Meizia asked in a very spoiled tone.
"Of course it's perfectly okay, I even feel so happy that my once-silent wife is now starting to talk a lot." Ameer pulled Meizia's face and gave a brief kiss on the corner of her lips.
"Honey, you should change your clothes because the show is about to start" Ameer said as he glanced at the wall clock in his room.
Thanksgiving will begin after the prayer, and Ameer has heard the voices of many people downstairs. In fact, the sound of motorbikes and cars has also been heard coming since earlier.
"What clothes should I wear, honey?"
"Anything, the important thing is to close the aurat well."
Meizia chuckles at Ameer's short answer, but what she means is that she wants Ameer to pick a shirt for her. For some reason, Meizia suddenly wanted that ridiculous thing, as if she was dissatisfied with Ameer's pampering treatment.
"Can you pick a shirt for me?" pinta Meizia gave the code. "I'm getting fatter and I'm afraid there's no suit for me."
Ameer smiled wryly and then she took her wife to sit on the edge of the bed. "Well, you wait here for a minute."
Ameer immediately opened Meizia's closet and she pulled a plain white robe from there.
"Wear this, it will definitely suit you perfectly."
"Thank you" Meizia said as she accepted the robe. He immediately put on his clothes and along with that came the voice of Shafa who called out to him.
"Would it start, Deck, not ready yet?" shafa asked after knocking on the door.
"It is, Ma'am," Meizia replied quickly.
When it was over, Ameer and Meizia immediately came out and Shafa immediately invited them down.
"Ameer," call Abi Zaid. "You and Meizia haven't met Syafiq's parents, have you?"
"Not yet, Bi," replied Ameer.
"We met them before the show started, since they asked where you were" said Abi Zaid.
Ameer and Meizia simply nodded obediently, They followed Abi Zaid to meet Grandpa and the two old men of Shafiq.
They were acquainted as usual, a little praise was thrown from the lips of his mother Shafiq seeing the appearance of Meizia. The real praise is not so liked by Meizia, she is afraid to feel she is good just because her appearance continues to be praised.
That's what Ameer always taught so far, never like the praise of others because it could be the cause of pride grow in the heart.
However, of course Meizia appreciated the compliment with a smile.
"Hana must be happy to have a friend like you, Meizia," Ummi Umaroh said.
"It is precisely me who is very happy to have a friend like Hana, Aunt," Meizia replied.
"It's getting late" said Grandpa. "It's time to start the thanksgiving event, dear." The elderly man rubbed Meizia's head gently.
"Yes, Cake" Meizia replied.
Meizia immediately approached her mother-in-law who was sitting with her other sisters, including Hana. Ameer sat down with Grandpa and the rest of the family.
The event began by reading some holy verses of the Qur'an by some people, then continued with a do'a led directly by the grandfather. Not to forget Grandpa told me the thanksgiving was held for the pregnancy of Meizia who God willing will give birth to twins.
The news that made everyone immediately say thankfulness, even the look on their faces also seemed happy.
One thing Meizia never thought, people who did not know her are now happy and even pray for her.
This is in contrast to Meizia's former life, where only the cynical stares, insults and taunts she receives from those who know her.
"Oh my God, may my mother feel what I feel now. Enjoy Your great mercy, which we once doubted. May he be on his path of conversion. For thou art most merciful to Thy servant, though we are bathed in sin."
Ameer looked at Meizia with a smile, and offered the best prayer for her soulmate. "O Allah, may You always put my wife in the best place and be surrounded by the best people. May my wife always be under the auspices of Your mercy, as well as my mother-in-law."
"And may You make our children solace for you, our pride and our way to Your heaven."
"Aamiin's."
