Pursuing the Details of His Love Tasbih

Pursuing the Details of His Love Tasbih
Chapter 28 - The Promised Choice

Ameer has promised to give work to former PSKs who want to testify in court, and now he must keep that promise but Ameer certainly can not do it alone.

So, who could help only his two older sisters.

"What did you promise them, Ameer?" ask Shafa who is currently busy with his laptop.

"Just a job" replied Ameer.

"Don't marry them all, right?" tejek Marwa's.

"His love is only for Meizia, I don't think she's going to look at another woman. An angel like Hana just can't steal his attention." Shafa chimed in which made Ameer blush.

Ameer is currently at Ahbab Store, a Muslim women's clothing store run by her two sisters since a few years ago. Even before they got married.

"So how, Ma'am? Help, huh?" Ameer whine.

"We're actually looking for a female employee, Ameer," Marwa said. "For a branch shop, if they want to."

"You must do it" Ameer answered quickly.

"Ckck, our little brother is apparently already a big one," Shafa cheered.

"Astagfirullah, Ma'am, I've been 30 years" cried Ameer.

"Well, it's conscious. You are a third of a century old, so you should get married, give a grandson to Abi Ummi, a sister to Adiba and Amina. Lovely life, Meer," said Marwa.

"His beloved problem has not opened his heart yet" Shafa said with a laugh.

"And there's no blessing." Marwa.

While Ameer could only sigh heavily, this kind of thing had often happened since childhood. As for her youngest, her two brothers always teased her.

"All right, so what are you doing to help?" ask Ameer then.

"Call everyone here, let me talk to them later."

"Okay, Ma'am," said Ameer with enthusiasm as he moved from his seat.

"Where are you going?" ask Shafa.

"You tell Meizia to bring her friends here" replied Ameer.

"Oh, it's worth the spirit" Shafa murmured, which again made Ameer re-laugh a shy smile.

When Ameer was gone, Shafa and Marwa went back to talking about the people they were going to hire.

"We don't need that many employees, maybe we can ask Riana for help" Shafa suggested.

"Boleh, this restaurant is very crowded and he said it does need a few more servants" said Marwa.

"Hopefully Riana will accept them."

"God she'll help, she's as good as Hana."

Meanwhile, Ameer visits Riana's restaurant before she meets Meizia. Ameer wants to bring food for the woman.

"Everything wrapped?" riana asked and only Ameer nodded with a smile.

"Where are you going?" ask Hana who just came out of the kitchen.

"To Meizia," Ameer replied in a soft voice.

Jealousy greeted Hana's heart, but the woman's lips still smiled sweetly. "Did he like sweet sour crabs? Sister-in-law added to the menu and it tasted really good" Hana concluded.

"Oh yes, study later do not forget. Because it's been two weeks that you haven't filled out the study, people miss you."

Ameer chuckled at Hana's words, she was very busy before because she accompanied Meizia and the others in the case of Mami Lala.

"God I can fill out the study later" Ameer said.

"All of you have Meizia," Hana's advice was immediately answered by Ameer's nod of the head. "In the meantime, I'll tell the chef to prepare the sweet-sour crab as well" Hana said as she moved out of her chair.

"Thank you, Hana. You're the best sister in the world" Ameer said, chuckling, Hana laughed.

However, he immediately threw out a breath while rubbing his chest as he turned around. He could not lie to his heart that he was so jealous of Meizia who received special attention from Ameer.

"Ikhlas, Hannah!" He said to himself. "That's the only way to find peace in life."

Hana asks the chef to prepare the sweet-sour crab as well, after all Ameer's orders are ready, he immediately gives it and forbids Ameer from paying.

"Suppose this is my first treat for Meizia, as a greeting to know," said Hana who made Ameer even more amazed at the girl.

"Thank you my dear sister" said Ameer.

While at Meizia's house, he arrives with his friends to ask about Ameer's promise. There were also some of them who had gone out of town to continue their lives, but there were also some women who could not go anywhere.

"We don't have a penny, May, we're afraid to find a job" one woman said.

"Would we just go back to work like we used to? But secretly?" the other chirp that made Meizia flabbergasted.

"Are you crazy?" peekit Meizia's.

"Keep we have to what? Most people know us as PSKs, no one wants to accept us."

"True, there are also those who are willing to accept us but on condition that we must be willing to be an outlet of their desires. What difference would it make if that were so?"

"I've found a job, keeping a shop. But his salary was only a hundred thousand, not enough for my family."

Meizia could only gulp at the stories of her friends, she knew there were some of them who were forced to become prostitutes in order to earn a lot of money, in a short time. One of them was the woman sitting on Jenny's side, she was the backbone of the family. Must meet the needs of his son who is still , his sister who is still in school and his mother. While her husband is dead.

"Where are you, Ameer? I need your help," inner Meizia while tightly grasping her phone.

"Please a minute" cried Jenny. "Ameer's been helping us get out of that godforsaken place without us asking, so we'd better wait for her next favor. He's a good man, won't break a promise."

"But when?" ask the woman by his side. "I need money as soon as I can to get my mom to the doctor, I need money for my sister's semester money, too."

"Do you think your mom would be happy to know you're making money from selling yourself?" hiss Jenny. "Originally you know, I sold myself to get money for my mom's heart surgery. The operation was successful, but a few days later he found out I was selling myself, he was in shock and died right then and there. You want your mother to be the same fate as my mother?"

Women were silent and immediately bowed in, the atmosphere became tense and now no one dared to retire. Until not long ago, there was the sound of a doorbell. Meizia immediately opened the door and she breathed a sigh of relief to see who had come.

"Assalamualaikum."

"Greetings waalaikum, Ameer. You're finally here."

*Someone likes this story?

If you ask, how can this be the story? Or this, that.

Some parts of the novel are inspired by true stories. Where there is a psk who has stopped being psk, working normally but of course the pay may not be as big as selling yourself. Then, the woman sold herself again on the grounds that the payment was more expensive.

What I want to say is .. Halal work salary may not be much, but more blessings and hearts were calm and families were not ashamed. The sustenance is already set up, no need to take shortcuts*.
