"So what about the reception?" ask Shafa who just joined the dining table.
Now the entire Ameer family gathers at Ameer's house for dinner, including Ameer's two brothers-in-law.
"Will it be pushed back or accelerated?"
"Adjust it" replied Ameer. "There is no need to rush, no need to step down."
"That's right" Abi Zaid said. "But Abi hopes you adjust to Meizia's circumstances, she still looks very limp if you have to take care of things."
"We will take care of her, Abi," Marwa exclaimed with a smile on Meizia. "Our little sister doesn't need to take care of anything, she just needs fittings," she said.
"Thank you very much, Ma'am" Meizia said sincerely. "I leave it all to you."
They had dinner while discussing several things, from the wedding reception, work issues with each other and as her. What a warm family dream.
After finishing the meal, Meizia wanted to help Umm Nayla clean the dining table as usual. But her mother-in-law forbade Meizia from doing any work.
"You just take a break to the room, honey," said Ummi Nayla. "Don't forget to drink her pregnant milk before bed."
"I can only clean the dining table" Meizia said.
"We're here, Meizia," cried Shafa. "We'll take care of her, don't worry."
Of course Meizia feels uncomfortable for Ameer's two sisters if she doesn't work in the kitchen. However, they continued to force Meizia to do nothing for a while.
"After you become a mother, you will always have a job" said Ummi Nayla. "So, now that the baby is still in your womb, use your time as best you can with Ameer and for yourself."
"Ah, that's so true!" exclaim Marwa. "I was also a little spoiled, Zia, let alone there is Ma'am Shafa who does a lot of homework. But after I had kids, I was always busy for almost 24 hours." Meizia laughed at Marwa's story. "So your child is not yet born, use your time as best you can to be spoiled."
"Yes," said Meizia who finally relented. "I'll go to the room first, thank you very much, Ma'am."
"Together, dear," said Shafa softly.
Meizia went to her room and Ameer followed her shortly.
"Didn't you crave something, honey?" ameer asked as she closed the door tightly.
"Not yet the meaning of it will be," kekeh Ameer. "I can't wait to know what you're going to crave" she said. "My two older sisters' husband told me earlier, said his brothers I crave food at the wrong time. Like hungry in the middle of the night, want to eat young mango when it is not mango season. Want spicy food at three o'clock in the morning and as his."
"I hope I won't trouble you like that later" Meizia said.
Meizia laughed at Ameer's confession, her husband was indeed very different, always able to make Meizia feel like a queen.
The day was getting late, the one outside sounded crowded with Adiba's voice and Amina was now silent.
Ameer and Meizia were getting ready for bed. "I can I ask you something?" meizia asked as she laid herself in the arms of her husband.
"Whatever's for you, honey," replied Ameer quickly.
"I want you to make our child a good person" Meizia said, carrying Ameer's hand to her stomach.
"That's the duty of every parent" Ameer replied with a chuckle.
"True, too" Meizia muttered which immediately made Ameer laugh. "You saved me and people like me, Ameer," Meizia said with a faint smile. "Now that you make my life perfect, I have a father, a mother, a brother, a friend. Everything is so beautiful."
"That's a gift from God to you, dear," whispered Ameer affectionately to Meizia's ear. "It's been your patience all along."
Meizia nodded then said, "There are many reasons why people like us can get caught in this mud of sin. Some are forced to do it, some are forced to do it. Whatever the reason we know it remains wrong, it is very difficult for us. We are desperate, we give up, we live in darkness. But you ...." Meizia looked up, looking at her husband with a smile.
"You've come to bring the light of hope, to bring us to the surface, your kindness is wonderful, dear."
"That's my duty" said Ameer, caressing Meizia's cheek.
"And for your duty and kindness, I have nothing to thank you for but this baby." Meizia clasped Ameer's hand which was still touching her stomach. "People say, a child is the greatest gift to a person. I think they're right, this kid's a gift to us."
"Fruit of our love" said Ameer.
"Hem, he's not like me who was born of sin and as the sin of my parents. Our child is born in love and as a reward to us, this is very beautiful." Meizia smiled broadly as well as Ameer. "Therefore, I ask you, dear, please take care of him to always do good no matter what."
"God, we'll keep her together."
"Can I ask you one more question?" ask Meizia.
"You don't need permission for that, honey." Meizia smiled at the husband's answer.
"If we die later, can we stay together as husband and wife after resurrection?"
Ameer was silent, she looked at Meizia with nanar. "I'm just curious, because I've often heard true love stories. Will it really be brought to life after death?"
"All God knows."
