Pursuing the Details of His Love Tasbih
Chapter 25 - Time to Let Go

Mami Lala was certainly very angry because again Meizia ran away from him, which makes the woman more angry is the man who always interfered in Meizia's life.

All the young pimps were looking for Meizia overnight, but they could not find her much less Mami Lala did not know the name of the man who took Meizia away.

But he thought Jenny should know.

"You know, right?" Mami Lala yelled at Jenny but the woman still shook her head slowly.

"Don't lie, Jenny!" sent Mami Lala for the next time.

"I don't know, Mam," said Jenny trying to calm down.

"May must have told me about her boyfriend, right? Honestly, Jen, or you want Mami to serve three men at once, huh?"

Jenny gasps at Mami Lala's terrible threat, and Jenny knows she always does what she wants without caring about anyone else's feelings.

"I don't know, Mom, all I know is one. The man was an Ustaz" Jenny said. "Name's Ameer."

"What's this report called?"

"Ameer al - Fatih." Ameer replied firmly while glancing at Meizia who was sitting by her side.

Since entering the police station, Meizia kept her head down deeply and Ameer saw Meizia's two hands clinging to each other and trembling.

As per Shafa's suggestion, this morning Ameer, Meizia and Shafa went to the police station to make a report.

"We can't continue this report without strong evidence and witnesses, do you have evidence and witnesses?"

"Meizia will testify" Shafa replied firmly as he touched Meizia's shoulder.

"Say, what do you know about Mami Lala? And what did he do?"

Meizia glanced at Shafa, she was still trembling until she found it difficult to speak.

"Tell me the truth, Zia," Ameer said gently.

"When will you save yourself and your friends, Zia?" Shafa. "Don't be afraid and don't have to feel sorry for reporting a crime even if it's your own mother."

Meizia bit her lips, both of the women's eyes had already started to tear up. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, recalling what he had been through all this time.

"He sold me out" Meizia said later in a trembling voice. "And some other girls." Meizia's tears were spilled remembering what she had gone through because of her mother.

Of course it managed to touch Meizia's heart, giving her strength.

Stammering, Meizia told me all about her mother as well as the mother's brothel. And whatever happens there.

"Do you have any evidence?" ask the cop. "Because testimony alone is not enough to issue an arrest warrant."

"What more proof do you want, sir?" ameer asked with emphasis.

Meizia's been telling me a long story and the police still want more evidence? Of course Ameer was upset.

"We can't arrest someone based on a single person's story" the police officer said, causing Ameer and Shafa to let out a deep sigh.

Meizia was bowing deeply, thinking of a way on how to get the policeman to trust her.

Suddenly Meizia got out of her chair. "Mayezia?" lirih Ameer's.

However, Meizia did not reply. He turned around and lifted the shirt he was wearing, revealing his back which did have some scars.

"Is this still lacking as evidence?" it was Meizia who made the policeman dumbfounded.

While Ameer immediately pulled Meizia to sit back and told the woman to tidy up her clothes again. "You don't have to do this" said Ameer, who was also shocked by Meizia's actions.

However, Meizia still did not care about Ameer. The woman now shows both of her wrists.

"See this one!" hiss Meizia. "The wound was still there because I was slashing deeply, so that I would die quickly but it was still alive. And look at this one!" Meizia showed me the wrist that was still bandaged.

In fact, the woman also took off her bandage.

"Meizia, don't do this" said Ameer, but Meizia was now like a lunatic who didn't want to listen to anyone.

While crying, Meizia kept the bandage open to reveal her wet wounds.

"See this!" meizia growled in the middle of her crying. "I wanted so badly to quit this disgusting job, Ameer came to take me away. Mom said she'd let me go but after I served one more man she said paid hundreds too."

Meizia's cry grew even more so, even Shafa unconsciously shed her tears as if she felt how painful it was to be Meizia. "Then what should I do? Dress up and go to the demons? I don't want that's why I want to die!" Meizia exclaimed with emotion, her eyes not only showing sadness but also fear.

Shafa immediately grabbed Meizia's shoulder, rubbing it gently to calm the woman who seemed to be burning with emotion. While the police and Ameer can only be confused with a roaring chest.

"That's all the evidence I have" Meizia later said. "If you want more evidence, just go to that brothel. You'll see hell there!"
