" Hidden Identity of the Son-in-law"

Sabulan Village, Lake Toba

A Pasu-Pasu Raja party has been completed (Marriage without custom is only a blessing)

There is no family on the part of the bride.

Stevani, or Vani, had just entered the bathrooms, after their simple marriage was completed, only attended by a few relatives and neighbors.

“Stay here, tomorrow I will return to Jakarta to work again,”, said Bonar Sinaga staring at the stomach of Vani who had begun to bulge.

“Abang why go home?”

“What do you mean?” He looked back at his wife with a disgusted look.

“I mean, accompany me one day only, I don't know about all the villages, brother”

“You don't think of you as your husband’ right?” Ask Bonar.

“Yes, my husband's brother”

“He .. You listen to me yes, I was just told Mr. Sudung to marry you, not ask me to be a real husband”

“If married means already married couple, Bang,” reply again, the woman called Tivani just looked at the man in front of her with a sad look.

“I marry you, so that the child you bear has a father, so that he does not become an illegitimate child. He's not my son why should I take responsibility,” Bonar replied indifferently.

Stevani kept silent, knowing that the man who said he was willing to marry her was only for money, not because he cared about her and her child.

“But brother wants to marry me”

“Yes, I married you but that doesn't mean to give you an inner lust, anyways how you ask a foreign man like me, I just never touch you I realize I'm a little, beautiful but can not take care of yourself for what?”

“I've a daughter-in-law at home, this”

“Yes, you're the son-in-law of this house and I'll still be the husband, but that's just a piece of paper, I can't be the father of your son, but you can use my margaret for your son,  although it is not my seed, ”ujar Bonar, it means that later if the child in the birth of Elizabeth was born, she will use the surname Sinaga.

All that was heard by Bonar's mother from behind the door, he finally understood that the daughter-in-law who brought her son to his house was not a woman who contained the blood of her child's flesh, even rejecting them. Sad to be disappointed that was the terbesit on the face of Mother Lisda, a seven-year-old woman, all this time he was living with his idiot daughter in a board house that had started to reot in Nahor Village in Sabulan.

“Why did you guys dump me here,” Lisa said in a quivering voice, it was all hard for her, she usually lived with all the luxuries, but because of the one night mistake, she ended up having a bad thing, she said,  she was abandoned by her father and abandoned by her husband.

“You, should be happy because I married you even though only the King's pots at least your family is not ashamed,” Bonar replied again.

“Then how about me Bang”

“Ya, you stay here”

“Then brother?”

“I want to go home to Jakarta, you don't expect me to do bridal night with you right?”

Elizabeth felt a great pain in her breast, she did not expect the man who married her a few hours ago to tell her that,

“Then do I live alone here?” Ask again trying to clarify the situation at that time.

“Listen …! Here is my mother and my idiot brother who will be your friend in this house”

“I can't live in a place like this ..”

“Makanya so the woman can take care of herself and her honor if you have bunting like this you think someone likes you again,” Bonar reply again.

“That was Elisabet Stevani, before you tested your honor on another man,” Bonar said,

“Then now?”

Bonar laughed obliquely at him, the man who had once judged him now laughed at him and underestimated him, it was not Bonar's fault, but he himself who could not keep his honor.

“Don't expect too high Elisabet, look at you now bunting from another man and you expect love from me? Isn't that not too selfish?” Ask Bonar.

“What did my daddy give you money to marry me?”

“Yes, it was Mr. Sudung who gave me severance money to marry you and he also said he would not see you forever”

Sad, devastated that was what Elizabeth had felt all along, she had never expected that her life would be so tragic.

He was left in the room itself, he sat quietly, he did not even cry, his tears seemed reluctant to come out.

‘For what to cry? I'm strong ‘ he said cheering himself on.

He looked around his house-in-law, the board-floored house was stuffy and smelly, not long after the knocking of the door was heard, he opened the door, and, the old woman who was gray looked at him with pity.

“Come we manganese, host,” he said with Indonesian mixed regional language.

“Namboru I want to shower first”

“If you want to shower go there.” Her mother-in-law opened the bedroom window and pointed to Lake Toba.

‘Gosh shower in Lake Toba?’

“No bathroom?”

“Nothing, we all shower there, if you want to poop go to the back of the house behind the tree there is a hut .

“Yeah! I can't live like this, I'll tell Bang Bonar to take me from this miserable place”

“Ibana dang hea mulak alai sahali mulak tu jabu on direct mamboan parumaen, maila ibana pogos”

(She never came home, once went home brought a son-in-law, ashamed of her coming home all this time because we were poor)

“I have to tell him your name if I can't stay here,”ucap Elisabet.

The woman who was two-bodied came out of the room, she was looking for Bonar the man who had officially become her husband at this time.

“I don't want to stay in this place, I want to go home,” said Elisabet staring at Bonar who was sitting eating near the tataring or cooking stove in the kitchen, in the house it still uses firewood to cook.

When Elizabeth saw him, she was surprised, this was the first time she saw a tataring or cooking stove using wood,

‘Yes, forgive me for being stranded to the stone age’ he said inwardly.

“Your destiny is to live in this house of Elisabet, at least you until you give birth to the child you bear”

“You don't have to care about me, just give me the money my family gave me, then I'll leave this house”

“Sorry I can't arrange to get rid of you from your family it's a request of Mr. Sudung,” said Bonar.

As they argue, a neighbor comes to congratulate Bonar's wife, overhearing a debate between the two.  Host Lisda already knew that the news would spread throughout the Village.

He only breathed a long sigh that the difficult era would come again through the tranquility of his life, but, he had used to hear the scorn of the neighbors because of his daughter Mesnur who had a disorder.
