Mama For Mikaela

Mama For Mikaela
SEVENTY EIGHT

When Lana needs to be rescued, Arkana and Segara are busy arguing about Pamela's involvement. One was clinging to his bad premonition, though, the other one also does not want to lose by maintaining his argument that he knows his childhood friend well—that Pamela is not likely to be involved let alone to be the mastermind over the complicated things that happen in the world his life all this time.

“Serah.” Arsenio finally gave up. Tired already he tried to convince Segara that there was something wrong with Pamela. The awkwardness for the sake of awkwardness has been revealed, but Segara still kekeuh that Pamela was not involved.

Meanwhile, the debate between the two adult men made Dharma (someone Arkana had asked for help before) only able to sigh many times. In a standby car, he witnesses a debate that lasted for almost an hour without stopping.

A few meters from their car, seven armed men were set up to stand guard, encircling an abandoned empty building deep in the forest. The seven of them only needed to receive orders to break in, but the mastermind behind the rescue mission was instead engrossed in arguing and staying true to their respective positions.

“Begini,” long ago, Dharma's tongue itches as well, so he starts moving it to talk. He turned to the passenger bench, where Arkana and Segara were sitting next to each other with the same gaze thrown in the other direction. “We're here to save someone.”

“Two people.” Segara corrected, while Arkana immediately snorted violently while glancing cynically.

“One more cosplay victim.” Arkana whispers vaguely.

Please, don't start again! Dharma is screaming in the heart. The desire to silence the mouths of the two adult men in front of him increased instantly.

“Next one or two, whatever.” Dharma at the end. “Which is clear, we have to move fast, golden time.” Tapping your finger to the smartwatch screen on your left hand.

In a rescue mission, there is a golden time. Where they must be able to calculate well what steps they should take in the fastest time possible to avoid the possibility of worse such as victims injured more severely or even to the point of loss life. It should not be rash, but also should not be too much to waste time.

For an hour lurking outside the building, the seven men on guard had made observations. Scanning for any signs of explosives around, how many people are in the building, what kind of weaponry they may have. From all the observations they make, they can actually immediately raid the kidnappers inside there to then rescue the hostages. However, two men today even use their golden time to debate something useless.

“Gue can only give orders if you have agreed.” Dharma spoke again after a long period of silence.

Arkana took her hard breath, exhaling it with a subtle reluctance. “We go.” Later decrees.

“Ar,” Segara held down Arkana's arm as the young man was about to reach for the door handle.

Arkana turned her head, “What else?”

“Pamela,”

“Results.” The blow escaped without being predicted. Arkana herself instantly pursed her lips so aware that she had just cursed her own sister-in-law. “Fine.” Said later. “Pamela also victims—tap aja so, so let’s move, lest Lana more why-why because of the bastards.”

They rushed down from the car, flocking to the two men standing guard at the entrance. They are already equipped with pistols, bulletproof vests and other equipment to support rescue missions.

“Go.” Dharma Order. A pair of jet-black rubber handkerchiefs he pulled out of his pants pocket, then he pulled it hard before smuggling it in to wrap his hands together. Then, the man became the first person to step forward, followed by two people who standby earlier along with Arkana and also Segara.

They walk saggingly, making sure their shoes do not make the tread sound too loud. Their eyes were alert, circling all corners full of dust and cobwebs. In pitch-black conditions, they only rely on moonlight that highlights from the cracks of the roof that has collapsed. Because turning on the flashlight they have brought is not a good idea.

As the five of them moved from the front door, the other five people moved from the other direction. They move in unison to the one room that is the center point of the GPS that Arkana has installed on Lana's watch.

“Kiri.” Arkana gave orders.

Dharma nodded, then hinted to the two people behind him to walk first, checking the conditions around the central point.

When it was close to the coordinates Arkana mentioned, their steps stopped. A few meters in front, two thick men stood guarding the door of the room with a padlock and a chain. There was a long barrel gun embedded in the waist of the two, a sign they would not be able to get close easily.

Dharma staked out the situation, then slowly he pulled out a gun from the back pocket of his pants. Not a bullet, the gun was then filled using a capsule containing drugs. Once planted, it will be able to knock out the target in seconds.

“Pas I shoot, you guys directly check the area around.” Tell Dharma again, which was immediately embraced by two of his men.

Thoroughly, Dharma aimed at one of the men standing on the left side. He pulled the trigger, then released it until the dope capsule inside his gun shot out at lightning speed, landing perfectly on the target's neck. It didn't take long, one man managed to fall.

There was still one more man, who was then confused because his partner suddenly fainted when he did not see any attacks. It is used by the Dharma to target the other man.

Syuuu.

“Nice!” Dharma clenched his hands, performing a light celebration of his success paralyzing the opponent.

No need to be commanded a second time, Dharma's men immediately darted forward to check the situation. The two took turns kicking slowly the fainting bodies of the two big men, and after making sure they were completely uprooted, the bodies of the lunglai were then dragged to the corner of the room. Their rope was removed, then used to bind the bodies of the two large men.

Dharma observes all the processes with such a high smile. Imagining herself is the lead role of an action film, struggling to save her lover who is being held hostage.

“Keren.” He said it sounds narcissistic, but that's how he appreciates himself.

Satisfied with pride, he looked back, looking for the whereabouts of Arkana and Segara which he had previously told to hide.

“Come,” take him with a head gesture.

The two men who originally fought the argument were finally compact as well, walking hand in hand following the swing of the steps that Dharma took.

Arriving at their steps before the door of the walled room, other Dharma men came to bring three others who were already battered. One of them had a torn wound on the lips that immediately made Arkana grimace.

“The wall is as big as this so what?” dharma asked one of the robbers who was sitting at his feet. His face was bruised, his hands were cuffed behind his body and his head could barely be lifted properly.

Of course, there was no answer coming out of the man's lips. Dharma is just a conversation. Then the next thing Dharma did was to pull another gun out of the other pocket. This time it contained a bullet, which he then used to break the padlock of gaban on the door.

The sound of gunfire echoed across the building, followed by the loud sound of a padlock and chains falling on the floor. Dharma's dusty handle reached, he pressed down then the wooden door he pushed forward. He opened up, revealing a narrow room full of fine dust that is not good for health.

Not yet Dharma said anything, Segara had already broken through the man's body, grusuh-grusuh want to check the condition of his beloved wife along with the baby in the womb.

Segara barely knew how to breathe when he found Lana trying to get up from the dirty floor. His pale face also twinkled his dim eyes made Segara's entire body tremble instead of playing. He was afraid, worried that the loss would happen again in his life.

“Ga,” Lana's voice is getting heartbreaking.

“I'm here.” Segara replied with a trembling voice. Then, he walked quickly over to Lana, catching his wife's limp body just before falling helpless. “You're safe now, Darling.” His whisper while clutching tightly to the frail body.

While behind them, Dharma and his men are busy taking care of the robbers while making sure that none of their members are left. Arkana was standing in the doorway with a hardened jaw and a tight fist. There was no Pamela there, which for Arkana means that the woman had a share in the incident that happened to Lana this time. And it could be, the woman is also the mastermind of all the bad things that happen in Segara's life.

“Backing.” Arkana growling. Then when everyone was busy themselves, the man darted away. He must find Pamela to prove that her argument is never wrong. That Pamela is evil, that woman is like a wolf in sheep's clothing who intends to destroy everything.
