Mama For Mikaela

Mama For Mikaela
TWENTY

In the middle of the heavy rain, Segara was driving like a madman. His hands did not stop to hit the horn, yelling at the other riders in front of him who were moving too slowly to immediately step on their gas pedal deeper. The traffic lights he repeatedly broke, only to get him rewarded with a barrage of horns that came in a row like an attempt at revenge.

Previously, Segara had asked Arkana for help to pick up Micah after she realized that her work was still too much to leave. 15 Minutes ago, Arkana called. The young man reported that there had been a small incident in the daycare where Micah had been entrusted so that they could not go home immediately.

Segara did not listen further to Arkana's explanation of what the incident meant because he had panicked. He thought, something bad has happened to Micah and he couldn't delay any longer to come see his daughter. He did not even remember again whether his study room had been locked well or not.

During the drive, Segara was not ceaselessly cursed. Regretting her decision to leave Micah to daycare just because she felt she had no other choice. He would not blame Arkana for the proposal, because sometimes even well-designed things do not work out perfectly. Completely, he was aware that Arkana's purpose was good and he would not condemn it.

After driving to endanger his own life and the lives of other drivers around him, Segara's car finally arrived in front of Micah's daycare. The two guards that were supposed to be standby there were nowhere to be seen, making his mind even more drift everywhere.

The car he parked originally, then he came out through the rain and then shouted his loyalty when he arrived in front of the gate that was locked from the inside. His two hands clutched tightly against the trellis of the fence, shaking it firmly as if he could tear down the sturdy fence by himself.

“Arkana! Micah!” shouted again.

Shortly afterwards, a guard ran from the inside of the daycare building. The big dark blue umbrella that he carried even to the point of so fast he ran, making it hit the wind even harder. “What's up, Sir?” asked the male guard after arriving in front of him. The fence had still not been opened, and the man's gaze was clearly probing.

“I want to pick up my son and sister-in-law.” Segara. “They're still inside? What happened exactly?” still panicking.

Segara's panic spread to the guard, but the man seemed to be trying hard to control himself. “Quiet first, Sir. I need to know first, who is this man looking for? Whose father's son and sister-in-law's name?” ask the guard to calm down.

“Mi—“ has not finished Segara said, he returned mereog. The reason is only one, that is, because he found Arkana emerging from a daycare with Micah in his trunk. And .. a woman who Segara doesn't know who. “I search them!” segara shouted while pointing towards Arkana.

The guard followed his index finger, then looked back at him and nodded his head. “Good, Sir.” Her speech. Then, the gate was opened so that Segara could run to his little daughter.

“Mikha!” call him.

Arriving in front of his daughter, Segara was busy searching every part of the boy's body, looking for where the injured were. “Mikha, you okay? What happened?” tanyakanya.

“Mikha okay, kok.” The voice belongs to Arkana. With such a calm look, the young man handed Micah to his father's arms. “So there was a little problem, but now everything is okay.” Reciprocity.

The explanation of Arkana apparently still can not make Segara feel relieved. Instead of stopping the chatter and immediately bringing Micah into the car before the girl grew cold, she instead threw a gaze at the woman standing beside Arkana. The woman sat a little, but Segara could still see her pale lips.

“What's theroblem?” asked Segara still with a gaze fixed on the woman.

Not Arkana, the answer Segara heard next came from the woman he had been staring at without pause. When the woman fully raised her head and their gazes met, Segara dared to swear it was the first time he had found such a beautiful pair of eyes, after such a long time.

“Mikha and her mom are late to come home because they have to help me first, sir. Again, I apologize.” The head bowed again a little, as the most sincere apology, which Segara himself did not even know what had happened so the woman needed to apologize like this to him.

“So Miss Micah fell, so I'm the same Micah helpin first.” Segara turned his gaze back toward Arkana. Samar, he saw the young man nod, and he caught it as a gesture not to prolong the matter.

The color of the sky was completely dark, the rain water fell more and more and more and more deafening thunderbolts. So better, they'll be home soon.

So with a breath so long as a prefix, Segara finally agreed. After all, he had already made sure with his own eyes that his little daughter was not injured. For him, that was more than enough.

“OK. We go home now.” Bring along. He was already about to walk first, when Arkana held his arm so as to make him turn back with a frown. “Why else?” tanyanya.

“Gue rush, no business.” Arkana. Of course, that answer did not answer Segara's question at all, and instead raised a new question. What does it have to do with Arkana being in a hurry to go do something, with those who have to go home soon? Didn't they come in a different car? It didn't matter even if they were to split up immediately once it darted away from the daycare building area.

“Miss by Micah, Ga. Please anterin go home.” Chirps Arkana, catching a quick flurry of confusion on her sister-in-law's face.

The woman who had lowered her head and was more silent immediately raised her head, then shook her head so quickly. “Not necessary, Sir. I'm okay, can go home by myself.” His words to Arkana, while Segara was only left to be a spectator—still bewildered.

“Sama Micah and her father, Miss. Miss face still looks pale, I'm afraid Miss why-why on the road.” Arkana Kekeuh. In Segara's eyes, his sister-in-law was indeed quite stubborn. But to see the child cares about others—notabene stranger—ini is the first.

The woman who did not know his name seemed to glance fearfully at him, making Segara again pass a long breath because honestly, he did not have time to follow the course of this drama longer. The work he left in the office should be finished before tomorrow, so it's good if they hurry up immediately so that he can cover the office in order to retrieve the necessary files. Letting this woman insist on not being ushered in will only make her time wasted, and Segara does not like that.

So after trying to refrain from putting forward emotions, Segara politely offered—or rather, force subtly. “Mari, I inter.” He said in a low voice, but filled with emphasis that to any listener, clearly knew that speech was completely indisputable.

Not waiting until the woman replied, Segara left first. With Micah sitting in his arms, he ran through the rain. He ignored the good intentions of the guard who tried to protect himself and Micah. There, he instead used one hand to protect Micah's head so that at least part of the boy's head was not exposed to rainwater.

While Segara had already started putting Micah in the car with a hoarse movement, Lana was still standing in place with her mind yet to fully recover. Fear still loomed in his eyes, his body still trembling slightly and he was not sure he could walk up to Micah and his father.

“Miss?”

Lana took a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself down better. With a faint forced smile, he turned his head towards Arkana, then nodded slowly. “Thank you,” he said, then he dragged his heavy steps toward the car whose engine had been heard roaring quite loudly.
