Days passed, the request about the mother no longer came out of Micah's lips, and it should make Segara relieved. However, he found another more serious problem, because since returning from Lana's residence last week, Micah changed 180 degrees. The child was no longer as happy as usual, did not ask this much, even with his life in day care that was no longer as fun as when the child first came there.
Through Grace, Segara was informed that Micah looked more moody. Lunch prepared by a special chef there is also not much the child touched, only eaten a few spoons while the rest is played before finally abandoned.
In terms of making friends, Micah's attitude also changed drastically. Leah and Nala who used to follow the little girl to anywhere also seemed to be limited not to walk closer. As a result, Micah was alone, spending more time sitting quietly in the corner of the room while watching his other friends play and learn.
This afternoon, after eating a lunch that deviated far from the clock, Segara rushed to leave the office. He intended to be absent, going home early to visit the day care where Micah was entrusted to see for himself how the child was there. All the business he had entrusted to Adella, so there should be nothing for her to worry about.
Along his steps, starting from the moment he came out of his room, until now he walked through the corridor to get to the elevator, Segara several times heard the grapevine about him and Pamela. Yes, the news of the secret relationship between him and Pamela spread so quickly, becoming a hot topic that is still being discussed until now.
Segara did not want to take a headache, anyway what they were gossiping was all not right. It also did not have much impact on his friendship with Pamela. They only need to apply limits when in the office, as bosses and employees should be professional.
Beyond that, she and Pamela are still friends as usual. He didn't even mind picking up the phone from the woman at half-time 2am, only to know that the woman was drunk and ended up rummaging incoherently for more than 1 hour before finally falling asleep.
Everything is still fine, that's what Segara knows.
Arriving in the basement, he had difficulty getting his car out because it turned out that there was one car that parked too close to the driver's door. Annoyed, don't ask again. He was in a hurry, but there were always trivial things that ended up making his hurried steps become stifled.
To find who the owner of the car is and ask him to move in the right position is not something difficult. He just had to go to the security post, ask the officer to give an announcement to the owner of the car to park properly. However, it takes time, which Segara does not have.
So with a feeling of annoyance that began to grow bigger, Segara undoes his intention to get into the car. He decided to walk down the quiet basement, climb the stairs to one of the exits and then step wide towards the front gate of the company.
“Pak Segara!”
He turned his head, as a man in a security guard uniform was running around in a hurry to get to him. “Where are you going, Sir?” ask the security guard. His one hand was on top of his forehead, trying to protect his eyes from the glare of the sunlight.
“I have affairs outside. Why?” tanyakanya.
“It ... in front there is a nyariin Mr, he said from day care.”
Care day? Segara did not think long when he decided to reverse his steps. Hurriedly he ran towards the lobby of the company building, leaving the security guard cengo where he stood.
Not yet reached the door, Segara had already seen the existence of a female figure standing in front of the information table. He appeared to be talking to female employees who were standing guard there, probably negotiating to be reunited with him.
Back Segara swing a step wider. A few feet behind the woman, she spoke. “Miss Lana?” call him, make women who are arguing with the female employee suddenly turn their heads.
“Pak Segara.” Lana moves closer, followed by the female employees who run around to hold Lana's pace before arriving in front of her.
“Sorry, Sir. Mbak is forcing to meet, even though I have said that Mr. Segara is busy and can not be disturbed.” Ruli, the female employee who had looked down apologized, was still trying to hold Lana back from moving closer.
“Nothing, he's my acquaintance. You go back to work.” Segara's Order. Hearing that, Ruli also complied. The woman nodded obediently as she removed her hand from Lana's arm, then returned to her desk.
“Why can Miss Lana be here? What's the problem?” ask Segara to the point. Because there is no way the woman will be willing to fight muscle with her employees if there is nothing really important.
...****************...
Segara ran away from the taxi. The gate he just opened a little bit he broke through just like that, making the security guard who opened it almost toppled over because he was too strong to push the iron gate.
With a heavy breath, Segara still continued to run into the day care building that looked lonely from the outside. He then stopped in front of the reception desk, finding a woman standing guard and swiftly standing up to welcome his arrival.
“What do you need, Sir?” ask the woman.
“I want to see my son.” Segara. Not too much did he notice the look on the woman's face, because he began to be busy looking for where Micah was.
Lana told him that Micah refused to eat at all. The boy instead secluded himself in the corner of the room, refusing to talk to anyone including Lana who incidentally was the closest person during day care.
That made everyone panic, including Grace who was finally forced to ask Lana to come to his office to tell him about it directly, because it turned out that his phone was dead so that Grace could not call.
“I want to see Micah, my son.” Said Segara again.
The woman who still seemed confused, was wrong between letting Segara enter or still holding him as a strict rule in day care that prohibits anyone from entering the building except with the permission of Grace as the owner. But the thing is, Grace wasn't there for permission.
“Here, Sir.”
From behind Segara's body, appeared the figure of Lana who looks equally tired. Many strands of the woman's hair have come out of the bindings, proof of how much she has taken the trouble to get to where she stands today.
“But, Miss, says Bu Grace—“
“This is a direct request from Bu Grace,” sela Lana. Then without listening to any objection from the lips of the woman, Lana suddenly pulled Segara's arm to immediately come with her. He ignored the distance or status between them, because he was confused about Micah's condition and brought Segara to meet the child was his priority at this time.
Segara himself also did not bother about his hand held without permission by Lana. Because again, all he thought about was Micah.
As it turns out, Lana takes her into Grace's study, where Micah is already sitting quietly on the sofa while Grace is seen crouching before her. Seeing her and Lana's arrival, Grace gets up and immediately hints to her to get closer.
Segara nodded slowly, then walked towards the sofa. The movement automatically makes Lana's grip that is not too tight apart, leaving a strange empty sensation that had disturbed Segara's mind for a while. However, he did not think about it any further when he was already crouching before Micah, replacing Grace who had previously been.
“Hey, Daddy's pretty boy, why Honey?” tanyanya gently. He held Micah's small hand, looking into the child's watery eyes. “Why not eat, hmm? Micah what's the problem, honey?”
Instead of replying, Micah jumped up, then slid into his arms. The child's cry broke, spilling over his chest that field, making him feel pain that is very difficult to explain.
“Okay, Darling. You can cry now, Daddy will not ban.” Segara rubbed his son's head full of affection. Her tears would have spilled if she hadn't been outside. “It’s okay, just remove everything.”
As Segara calmed Micah's cries, the two adult women who witnessed the dramatic scene before their eyes could only patiently wait. They realized that they were strangers who did not deserve any explanation, if Segara or Micah did not want to give it.
