Mama For Mikaela

Mama For Mikaela
SEVENTY SIX

Like dejavu, Segara again finds himself devastated. The condition of his heart was a mess, just like the state of his house that looks exhausted by the storm. Scattered glass filled the floor, some furniture left its place, and in a corner of the living room that had been filled with police officers who were doing TKP, the police said, she found her domestic assistant sitting limp with her body shaking violently. His face reddened, sweat poured out and trauma was evident from the look of his frightened face.

“Try repeating once again, Ar. Lana why?” her door. Hopefully this time, Arkana will give a different answer. Wishing her ears were misheard, or what Arkana had said earlier was a mistake.

“Lana kidnapped, Ga, same Pamela too. This house was satronized by robbers and they were both taken after the robbers had cooked up all the valuables they could carry.” But unfortunately, what Arkana said was still exactly the same as what he had heard a few minutes earlier.

Segara was almost crazy. He did not care how much loss he had to bear for lost items and damaged property, all of which he could easily find in exchange. But Lana and Pamela, where should she look for the whereabouts of these two important women in her life? What should he give up to get them back?

With a staggering step, Segara walked over to Bi Surti who was still trembling in fear, then his body collapsed right in front of his house assistant. With a body that was no less shaking and a voice that felt choked in the throat, Segara asked Bi Surti again about what really happened. Why their house can be surrounded by robbers, and why Lana and Pamela can also be taken away by them.

“Please explain my chronology, as complete as possible without anyone missing.” Her request.

Bi Surti, who was still in shock, and actually had time to give information to Arkana and police officers, was forced to repeat the same story. Which means, he has to play back the terrible scene that befell him, Lana and Pamela.

“I...”

Flashbacks....

What Bi Surti knows, Pamela is Segara's best friend. Back when the man was still married to Karenina, Pamela also often came to visit, to just have a casual chat like the woman now does with Lana in the living room. Therefore, he casually let the two women talk freely, while he returned to the kitchen to begin preparing lunch before Segara and Micah returned from their journey.

At first, everything was fine. Occasionally there was the sound of laughter from the middle room, which automatically also made him pull the ends of the lips. One by one his cooking also began to be finished, ready to be served on the dining table. Until then, there was a shouting sound from the front that made him suddenly stop all activity and rushed to run forward to check.

Upon arriving at the threshold of the boundary of the middle room, he found Pamela and Lana already sitting on the floor with a kneeling position and both hands tied behind the back, both lips covered in black duct tape. Six burly men in all-black clothes and a mask of face cover move split the task. Two of them stood guard behind Lana's body, two moved to loot valuables, while two more equipped with firearms appeared to be on guard in the front area. One of the two armed men then rushed to Bi Surti who stood stiff, then just like Lana and Pamela, his hands were tied and his mouth was draped and he was seated in the corner of the room.

The next thing to happen is, the robbers are thrashing all the valuables that exist. From the first floor to the second floor, all of them were looted in the shortest amount of time.

Bi Surti could not do anything, could only sit down to see his employer's house drained. And in the midst of her horrors, she came into eye contact with Lana. Unlike her worry-filled self, the woman looked much calmer. No thrashing, no crying (though he clearly looks scared) and instead nods his head slowly—like the code that everything will be fine as long as they don't have much of a fight.

Satisfied with all the valuables, Bi Surti thought it would all be over. He thought that the six robbers would soon run away and leave them. After all, their faces were not visible at all, so it should be fine for them to leave the residents of the house after getting what they wanted.

However, Bi Surti could not help but wriggle as hard as he could when before his eyes, he saw Lana and Pamela being forcibly carried away by the robbers. The two helpless weak women were dragged, forced to walk after them while one gunman restrained Bi Surti from making a sound.

Bi Surti's fear grew even more so, but he could not let Pamela and Lana be taken for granted. So, he continued to thrash and try to scream even though his mouth was duct tape. For his actions, Bi Surti finally got a hard blow to the head, which made his head feel spinning and his consciousness slowly disappeared.

Her weak body fell drooping on the floor, and in the middle of the threshold between being conscious and not, she saw Lana turning her head back as if to calm down. Nodding the faintly involved head became the last thing Bi Surti saw before everything went dark.

End flashback....

At the moment, Segara feels he is on the threshold between life and death. He realized his life was still in the body, inhabiting a fragile body. However, he also realized that all sides of his body could no longer function properly. In fact, what Arkana next said to him was not heard at all. He could only see the young man's lips muttering, yet in his ears it was completely without a sound.

The presence of Micah who then hugged his lunged body became a helper at just the right moment before he completely lost consciousness. The little hands of the child touched his cheeks as pale as a corpse, his round eyes were clear staring fixed, making Segara finally unable to hold the cry that he was resistant so as not to spill.

Micah's small body he reached, he clenched tightly as he sobbed to think about how the fate of the two women he cared about. What's more, given the condition of Lana who is pregnant young and still vulnerable to disruption in her pregnancy. All the bad possibilities mill about, and Segara could not at all hinder him.

While behind her body, Arkana must be someone more robust. A person whose shoulders are sturdier and whose head remains sane. Because if he were to fall, no one would be able to move to find a solution to this mess.

“We have checked the CCTV as you directed, but unfortunately none of the installed CCTV works as it should. The robber plots seemed to have damaged it before carrying out their actions.” One of the police officers approached Arkana to make their discovery.

In response to that, Arkana could only let out a long sigh. A lot of bad things have happened in his life and Segara, and checking CCTV to find answers is a futile job because he knows, those bastards are always smarter than they are.

But that doesn't mean Arkana will just give up. He will search for Lana's whereabouts, even if he has to break through the gates of hell to be able to bring her back.

“Fine, you hide properly, because when I manage to find lo later, I will make sure your life ends then and there.” Inwardly, he cursed those bastards for the umpteenth time. Ever since he came home and found that things had gone awry, and he finally called the police, he already knew that this was not just a robbery. These bastards must be the same people who were involved with bad events in the past, including Karenina's death.

“Thank you for the hard work, please contact me if there are other developments.” He said to the police officer earlier, then he walked towards the exit while sliding his phone screen several times.

“Gue need your help.” Talk to someone he calls over the phone.

This time, he won't be lenient. Whoever it is, he'll make sure it's battered before he gets thrown in jail.
