Mama For Mikaela

Mama For Mikaela
TWELVE

"Of Ar!"

Arkana gasped as she knew Micah's little body was already in front of her. The boy looked up with small hands that patted his feet several times, trying to get attention.

While raising her head, Arkana found Segara walking towards her with a visibly tired face. There was a thin smile that looked once forced to decorate his handsome face. The man's shoulders looked down, no longer as firm as they had been in the days before they met.

"Daddy's word can't eavesdrop on other people's conversations."

Arkana looked down again, only to find Micah looking at her with round eyes and pouting lips and hands folded in front of her chest.

"Om not nipping." His kill. Because he's not eavesdropping. He only noticed how the pair of children and the father were talking to each other, not knowing what they were talking about.

"Lied!" Sergey Micah, put on a fierce face that unfortunately did not look at all scary in the eyes of Arkana. Instead of being scary, Arkana found the fierce look funny.

"Daddy says we can't lie." Micah continued, still with a fierce face this time increasingly contrived.

Arkana, who saw how Micah's round eyes grew festering, and the tiny lips frowned, could not help but burst out in laughter. He broke down, squatting with great difficulty to grab the little body of his nephew for him to carry into the sling.

"Pinter is Segara's son." Arkana said, breaking Micah's hair with anxiety. "But Om Ar doesn't lie, Micah. Um don't hear you with Daddy what you're talking about." Further.

Micah did not believe it, the boy now looked at Arkana with great scrutiny, making the man laugh even more.

"Om not lying! Suweeeerrrrrrrrrr." Arkana says exaggerate.

The one who saw how Micah still did not believe in Arkana's talk could only chuckle. Seeing how Micah was still insistent on his stance reminded him of Karenina, and the way Arkana responded to Micah's rant also reminded him of his late wife.

Micah and Arkana are a fitting blend, they really describe how Karenina is.

Before long, Segara heard Micah chuckling. The tired he felt gradually stepped aside when he watched his little daughter laugh with anxiety after his argument with Arkana was finally finished.

"Daddy."

"Hmm?"

"Mikha wants to sleep with Daddy tonight, okay?" mikha asked with a hopeful look.

"Can." Segara answered without hesitation. He walked closer, taking over Micah's body from within Arkana's sling.

"We're sleeping now?" tanyakanya.

"Yes, but Micah wants to sleep in Daddy's room, okay?" micah asked again, his hands twitching spoiled around Segara's neck.

"Can."

"Same Om Ar, huh?"

Segara was silent for a moment. He glanced at the bawdy Arkana, leaning his shoulders against the wall with his hands folded in front of his chest and a rancid facial expression.

"Om Ar's busy, can't keep up." Segara said, coding Arkana through his eyes for his sister-in-law to approve his words.

But the man said the opposite. With the song's look and deliberately raised eyebrows in an annoying motion, Arkana said "Not busy. His intention tonight is to nginep really."

"Dadd... can you, huh? We slept in Daddy's room. May yaaa? Hmm?" whining Micah, began to move unsettledly within his carriage.

Feeling no reason to refuse Micah's request, Segara nodded, making the boy immediately shout in joy. He could only sigh as Micah leaped down from his arms, scurrying excitedly towards his room while holding Arkana's hand.

At about six, Segara woke up first. When he opened his eyes, he found Micah still asleep in Arkana's arms. I don't know what time it was last night when they finally fell asleep. As Segara recalled, Micah still raved about many things and Arkana always responded enthusiastically. It was as if the two people were destined to be together. Their energy is suitable and Segara is grateful for that.

When he was about to get off the bed with a very careful motion so as not to disturb the sleep of Micah and Arkana, Segara heard a whisper from behind his body. When he turned his head, he found Arkana had opened his eyes wide. The man grimaced, and Segara did not know why.

"Bro" whispered Arkana again.

Segara did not reply. He simply waited patiently until Arkana continued her sentence.

"What time do your kids wake up?" arkana continued in a whispering tone.

"Why?" asked Segara with one eyebrow raised.

"My hands are sore, Ga. I want to wake up, but your son is still cool." Rengek Arkana, just like Micah when the boy was seducing him to buy ice cream.

Instead of answering Arkana's question, Segara continued his intention to get out of bed. He walked casually towards the bathroom, ignoring Arkana who was gawking on the spot as his whining was not responded to at all.

In the bathroom, Segara was silent for quite a long time in front of a small mirror near the sink. He saw his own reflection, observing how the dark circles around his eyes began to appear clearer than in previous days.

The nights that Segara passed since he was actively working in the office were not at all calm. His sleep is not good because sometimes he has to wake up from nightmares that routinely come to visit his nights.

Segara breathed a sigh of rage. It is said that the water tap in the sink then raises his hand, scoops water from there and then washed his face with slow motion. A cold sensation was immediately felt when the water circle met the surface of his facial skin. He repeated it several times until it was felt that the resulting cold sensation was enough to quell the anger that slowly rose again.

He looked back at his reflection in the mirror. Now, that wet face looked better than before. Then after being content to chat with his own shadow, Segara stepped out of the bathroom.

On the bed, Arkana was still lying in her original position, hesitating as she was about to move for fear of disturbing Micah's sleep.

"Gerak aja, that's the child has been awake from earlier." The word Segara ended with a rarity.

Hearing Segara's words, Arkana turned to Micah, who was asleep in his arms. After he looked more closely, there was a thin smile engraved on Micah's lips and the boy's eyelids moved slowly several times. Just like that, Arkana knows that Segara's words make sense.

"Ooooh, so you deliberately pretended to sleep so that Om Ar tingled more?" Arkana gently nudged Micah's forehead, making the owner grimace with his eyes still closed.

"Wake you up, Om Ar's hands are numb because you've been overclosing all night!" Arkanan grumbled, but there was a faint smile on his lips.

With a quick movement, he pulled out his arm that was made into a pillow by Micah so as to make the boy's head land on the mattress. Arkana sat down, only to hear Micah's laughter filling the room.

"What a hell, who's teaching?" tanyany, with her hands crossed while her eyes looked at Micah full of probes as the boy woke up and moved closer towards her.

"Daddy." Micah said innocently, making Segara who was standing near the mattress suddenly gawked. Since when did he teach Micah to act nosy?

"Daddy never taught you to make fun of people." Resist Segara, only to make Micah shake his head while looking at him seriously.

"Daddy tickled Micah the night, that's a prank."

Hearing Micah's words, Segara fell silent with his mouth half-open. Ah, again he forgot that Micah was Karenina's son. The boy was quick to respond and loved to imitate anything he saw and heard.

"Next time don't teach his son to make a fad, Bro." Sela Arkana interspersed with crunchy ruddiness.

Segara snorted as he watched Arkana and Micah chuckle along with their similar nosy looks. But secretly, he smelled a smile. Because it felt like it had been a long time since he had witnessed Arkana return to this serebriety figure.

Years after Karenina's death, Arkana was turned completely into a cold, reclusive figure. In fact, there was a considerable distance between them when Arkana decided to lock himself up more to enjoy the regrets he had. The regret of not being able to be by Karenina's side for the last time before she left for all eternity.
