From Samurah bin Jundab said, the Prophet said that “all baby children were pawned with his agate on the seventh day slaughtered animals (goats), given names, and shaved his hair.” [SV. Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa’i, Ibn Majah, Ahmad].

From Aisyah said, The Prophet said “Baby boy is married with 2 same goats and baby girl 1 goat.” [HR Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah].

Umm Kurz Al Ka’biyyah said, “Rasulullah SAW ordered that disembarrassed akikah 2 sheep from boys and from girls 1 tail.” (Hadist sanadnya shahih Imam Ahmad and Ashhabus Sunan)

Basically, a child is recommended to be done on the 7th day after the birth of the child. But if you can't, then the 14th day, if you still can't, then the 21st day. In addition, the child becomes a burden on the father of the child.

Things to Say About Akikah Anak.

Types and Conditions of Slaughtered Animals

The Law of Aqiqah Herself When Mature

According to scholars, aqiqah is the duty of parents to their children. Especially dad. For it is the father who bears the family's living. So the father is more obliged to pawakqah. However, if the father is not able to carry out the aqiqah for his child until the child turns puberty, then the obligations of parents become lost or fall.

Then that is often the question, can the child educate himself as an adult? The strong opinion of scholars says that children do not need to educate themselves as adults. For the aqiqah is the responsibility of the father and should only be carried out when he is a child. This statement is based on the following:

“Whoever among you likes to sacrifice (mengaqiqahi) for his son, then please do. For one son two goats and one daughter one goat” (H.R.Ahmad)

From Imam Ahmad also explained “It is the obligation of parents, meaning it is not obligatory to self-abuse. Because the more appropriate sunah is charged to others (father).

Also explained by Ibn Qudamah “If he has not been married at all, then baligh and has worked, then he is not obliged to accustom himself.”

As for the hadith which reads: From Anas R.A; That the Prophet had himself recited after being sent to be a Prophet . This hadith is considered dhaif (weak) by the clergy. Some even say the hadith is fatal. So that it cannot be used as guidance.

There are several wisdom or virtues of the process of implementing aqiqah, including:
