After the restaurant waiter died, Alvin sat back relaxed while looking at the rain from behind the glass wall.
"Luckily, I had decided to take shelter, otherwise I would have been soaked by now" he muttered to himself.
Meanwhile the waiter of the restaurant, approached the two people who were still standing not far from the entrance of the restaurant.
"You can join the Father at the table if you want. How's it?" he asked the two men.
"Where?" ask the man to the woman next to him.
"Where else, we don't have a choice, do we?" said the lazy woman.
The man took a quick look at the woman next to him, then turned to the waiter of the restaurant.
"Alright, we're fine sharing a table."
The waiter smiled, before returning to speak.
"Then, please follow me," he said.
The two men followed the restaurant waiter walking towards one of the tables where there was a man sitting on their back.
"Please, this is a table for you and your partner" said the waiter, making Alvin who was cool to see the rain finally allowed his eyes.
"Ah yes, thank you," said the man who then immediately pursed his lips when he saw the face of the person in front of him.
While the woman was only silent while staring at the face of the man she had longed for.
"Alvin?" muttered the woman with quivering lips, she could not have expected to meet Alvin here.
"Jani?" Alvin who saw the two people in front of him, now only focused on the woman who turned out to be Jani or Anjani, senior and college friends who had not met for more than a year, since the misunderstanding between him and Jani's family.
While the man beside Jani was looking at Alvin with a complicated gaze to interpret, he just fell silent with his hand tightly clenched. Until finally he grasped Jani's wrist while slightly pulling it.
"Let's get out of here!" he wanted to step out of that place.
"But outside it's still raining, Anji," Jani refused, letting go of her twin brother's hand.
"Indeed you want to be scolded by Mama and Papa, if until they know you bring me rain, huh? Udahlah, mending we eat first here, while waiting for the rain to subside. Didn't you just say it was really a laper?" continue Jani again while sitting in front of Alvin, regardless of the annoyed look of his twin brother.
Anji seemed to exhale in annoyance, with the forced style of Anji finally sitting beside Jani, without daring to look at Alvin's face in front of him.
Alvin just kept quiet while paying attention to the debate between the twins, without intending to divorce, he was only seen continuing to look at Jani's face with a difficult gaze to interpret.
"Alvin, thank you for sharing the table with us" Jani said in a very awkward tone.
Alvin straightened his body as he cleared his throat slowly before answering, for some reason at this moment he also felt awkward. He then nodded slowly without making a sound.
"What's up, Jani," asked Alvin.
"You can see for yourself, he's fine." Anji answered Alvin's question with a tone of voice he didn't like.
Alvin looked at Anji then turned back to Jani, he nodded again with a smile.
"Thank God, I'm glad that you're okay" Alvin said again, bowing his head slightly.
Meeting someone who had long lost contact turned out to make him speechless and lost the discussion to speak. What's more when he saw the look on Anji's dislike face, it all made him more confused to start the conversation.
"Yourselves, how are you?" jani asked with a trembling voice, her eyes looked teary.
"I'm good" replied Alvin briefly.
Meanwhile Anji clucked lazily when he saw the awkwardness between Jani and Alvin.
Their conversation came to a halt as the waiter came to give the menu book. Jani and Anji ordered the food first.
Jani cleared her throat as soon as the maid left, she appeared to kick little Anji's leg to signal her twin brother.
"What the hell, Jani!" annoyed Anji who does not understand Jani's wishes.
"I'm sorry," Jani sneered at Anji almost inaudibly.
Yes, actually when Anji and Jani went abroad, here Papah Jani's men investigated what exactly happened that night. It was then revealed that all of Jani's words were true and Jani's family had misunderstood Alvin.
However, Anji and Arkan still do not want to forgive Alvin because it often makes Jani cry himself. They still harbor anger in the shadowy moment when Jani crying herself in the room flashed across the memories.
"Ck, let's spit it out!" jane was impatient.
"Yes-yes, no patience at all," Anji replied staring annoyed Jani.
"Vin." Anji now turns to Alvin who is in front of him, making Alvin turn towards him.
"Sorry for the trouble first," Anji said in a heavy voice as if unwilling to say that, he even took his eyes off Alvin.
Alvin smiled, he had actually forgotten about the incident and did not want to bring it up again.
"It's okay, I've forgotten it" replied Alvin.
"Sokay wise!" decak Anji was annoyed with a soft voice.
"Shh!" Jani immediately kicked again Anji's leg, making Anji complain of pain.
"Don't be brash," hissed Jani looked at Anji's annoyance.
"Ish, he's younger than me, so I can do anything with him, Jani," Anji argued, not liking Jani to keep defending Alvin.
Alvin just smiled at the familiarity between the twin brothers in front of him, without wanting to chim in on their chatter.
A few moments passed, Alvin had finished his meal and the rain had begun to subside, plus the sound of the ringing of the phone distracted him.
Alvin took the phone in his pocket, he saw a screen displaying the name of the boss there. Alvin frowned before he picked up the call.
While Jani watched Alvin carefully, it was seen that he was curious about the caller.
"Sorry, I have to pick up this phone" Alvin said asking permission from Jani and Anji who were in front of him.
"Let's say, why also use all permission." Anji immediately replied casually, without realizing that Jani was riled up with all that.
Hearing Anji's reply, Alvin walked away from his desk before answering Ezra's phone.
"Assalamualaikum," said Alvin.
"Vin, you can go home now, is there something we should talk about?" ask Ezra from across there without further ado, as usual.
"Can, Sir. But now I'm outside and far away from home, Father. It might take forty-five minutes" Alvin said.
"It's okay, I'm waiting for you at home" replied Ezra from across the street.
"Well, sir," nods Alvin.
Alvin looked at Jani who had been looking at him with a riled face, then walked back to his desk.
"I'm sorry, it looks like I have to go first" Alvin said.
"Oh, yes, there's a flick and go" replied Anji. It seems like Anji is still feeling annoyed at Alvin.
Alvin smiled as he glanced at Anji then turned to Jani.
"I'm happy to see you again. Assalamualaikum," said Alvin regardless of Anji's displeased gaze which seemed to harbor resentment towards him.
"Why? Is something going on?" jani asked, feeling heavy to release Alvin again.
"There's something I need to do" replied Alvin.
With doubt and a heavy heart Jani finally nodded, making Alvin turn towards the cashier leaving Jani and Anji.
"Wait!" Jani suddenly catches up with Alvin and stops him when Alvin is almost out of the restaurant.
"Yes, what's up, Jani?" alvin stopped his steps.
"Eum, may I have your contact?" jani asked as she held out her cell phone in front of Alvin.
Alvin was speechless he was quite surprised by what Jani said to him.
