On the way Alvin told Ezra that today he had permission not to enter work because there was urgent business.
As if knowing what was going on or might turn into understanding, his possessive boss immediately allowed it, without asking much.
"Where are we going, sir?" alvin asked after the phone call to his boss broke.
"We go straight to his house" replied Mr. Umar as he continued to focus on driving.
Alvin just nodded, he had absolutely no clue as to where they were taking his mother now.
A few moments later Mr. Umar had managed to park his car in front of Mr. Mardo's house.
The high gate with tight guard made them have to squeeze the brain in order to get inside unhindered.
"I tried to go down" said Mr. Umar, opening the door and then passing.
Alvin noticed, he could see that Mr. Umar seemed to be talking to one of the guards, until finally the old man walked back to him.
"I can get in. But, it seems you have to wait here, because they must already know your face," said Mr. Umar while sitting next to him.
"But, Mr-" Alvin looked doubtful, a look of dismay on his face.
"I'll be fine" replied Mr. Umar to calm Alvin.
"Sir Mardo knows even more. I won't let you in! It could be a trap." Alvin still did not want to allow Mr. Umar into the house.
"Do you know that I'm a former member of the mafia? So trust me, I can keep myself in love!" said Mr. Umar, still a celebration.
"I know. And I know that you are old too! So don't make me worry about going inside by myself!" Alvin remained firm in his stance.
The fear of loss is now enveloping Alvin's heart, he is very worried about his mother. However, Alvin also did not want to be foolish to give Mr. Umar to someone as cruel as Mr. Mardo.
"Ck! Although my age is old, but I can still take care of myself, even take care of you I can still," decak Mr. Umar when Alvin has let out his stubbornness.
"I know, Sir. But, not to enter the enemy's lair. Better, we'll find another way." Alvin refused.
"We'd better just go, we'll find another way" Alvin said.
Mr. Umar seemed to be exhaling violently. "It's hard to talk to young people today."
Alvin smiled faintly at the grunts of the man who was already considered to be his elder.
"Here you go, if you don't want to go, I'd better drive!" alvin said he was going out of the car.
"No need, let me drive," refused Mr. Umar who finally wanted to advance and out of the area of Mr. Mardo's house.
Just as they were away for five minutes from the house, suddenly there was an incoming message on his phone.
Alvin frowned, when it was a video file of a foreign number. Slowly he played the video for a few seconds.
Alvin clenched his hands tightly, as soon as he saw it was his mother tied up on a chair.
Another one that made his heart cut. Ganis seemed to be on a rampage until finally the chair fell and resulted in Ganis' body rolling onto the floor.
"Suck!" Alvin Ogat. Rare words came out of the man's mouth.
Mr. Umar who saw the strange girly from Alvin glanced at him with a deep frown.
Alvin turned his head, he wanted to open his mouth to answer, when suddenly his phone rang again, and showed the same number.
Alvin showed his phone screen to Mr. Umar.
"Figure and use loudspeakers, do not forget to record your conversation!" tell Mr. Umar to stop on the shoulder of the road.
The old man seemed to know that the phone was from Mr. Mardo's side.
Alvin nodded, then picked up the phone, although in his heart he was hesitant, he did everything Mr. Umar ordered.
"Where, Vin? I took good care of your mother, right? Ahaha!" A man's voice immediately sounded as Alvin picked up his phone.
Alvin and Mr. Umar stared at each other, it was not Mr. Mardo's voice.
"Who are you?" ask Alvin.
"Haha! If you want your crazy mother to be welcome, come to the address I gave her," said the man, then the phone just disconnected.
After that, an incoming message that says an address is visible. After Alvin read it, he went straight out of the car, then opened the steering door.
"Sorry, Sir. I had to save my mother" said Alvin, half driving Mr. Umar out of his car.
"No! We go there together" said Mr. Umar.
"Sir, I beg you. My mom must have been pretty freaked out there. He has not been able to meet new people!" Alvin's eyes turned red, so he begged Mr. Umar to allow him to go alone.
"So, you want to take your life, Vin? What they're after isn't your mother, but you, Vin! So don't act rashly!" Mr. Umar said firmly with pressure in almost every word.
"Well ..if you don't want to go outside, let me find another way to get there by myself!" alvin said, then ran to the side of the road to stop a taxi that happened to pass at the right time.
Mr. Umar who was surprised by Alvin's decision went straight outside to prevent Alvin. However, he was too late because Alvin had entered a taxi and just darted away.
"Damn! You stubborn!" umpat Pak Umar immediately returned to Alvin's car and chased after him, while trying to contact someone.
"Max, did you get the location?" ask Mr. Mardo to someone on the other end of the phone.
A moment of silence, Mr. Umar seemed to be listening to the answer of someone there.
"Alvin already knew the location and he was desperate to come alone. I'm watching him now!" said Mr. Umar as if he was reporting what was happening around him.
"I am heading towards the edge of the city" replied Mr. Umar again.
.
Alvin's taxi stopped at a grassy field growing high on the edge of town. Alvin looked around before getting off the car.
"Thank you, sir," he said, giving cash to the driver.
He stood on the side of the road while continuing to circulate his gaze, until a message notification was heard on his phone again.
[Walking straight to the southwest]
Alvin frowned, he looked at the sun in order to see the direction it should go. Slowly his feet stepped, down the high-looking thatch.
His steps were so alert with every sense of active movement. The ears hear sharply, the skin feels and the eyes look around so closely. The nose is even active in recognizing the smell around it.
A few minutes walking he encountered an abandoned building, it seemed like this was a failed and eventually abandoned construction area.
