"Alvin," called Esih, shaking her grandson's body slowly.
Alvin was aghast from his daydream, he turned his gaze to the old lady beside him.
"Yes, Grandma" he answered later.
"You why? Dreaming huh?" ask Esih.
Avin smiled, he turned his gaze to the window to his left, looking away at the gray-colored sky, covered in clouds ready to pour water in it.
"Alvin was just the same again Alin, today he's his birthday right, Grandma. Grandma, must have come here, because I want to celebrate Alin's birthday," said Alvin, with a beautiful smile on his face.
Esih's eyes looked teary, when he saw Alvin telling him about his sister, there was a sense of tightness in the chest, although he tried to hold on as hard as he could.
Alvin turned his gaze to the grandmother, with a faint smile.
"Sir, I want to see Alin. I had a gift for him, in the room. He must be very happy if he knows!" alvin said, with a look of hope to his grandmother.
Esih tried to smile, in front of Alvin, his lips felt difficult to move, when his heart seemed not to allow.
How is this, O God? Do I have to tell my granddaughter the truth? inward Esih, screaming.
"Yes, later you're grandparents take you to meet Alin, if you're cured huh. Now you rest first, let the wound heal quickly and your health recover again."
A man's voice rang out from the direction of the door, causing Esih and Alvin to turn their eyes away.
"Grandfather? Grandpa's here too?" alvin asked, staring at the puzzled presence of his grandfather.
During this time his grandfather was the most difficult to be invited to visit his son's house, on the grounds that his work as a farmer could not be abandoned.
His grandfather only wanted to come at certain times, usually if you want to relax or there is an important event.
"Yes. How can grandfather stay in the village, if his grandson is like this?" gurau Darman – his grandfather Alvin.
Alvin smiled at the joke from his grandfather. He was quite happy with the presence of his father's parents. Even in his heart, there was still something that made him wonder.
.
.
"Sus, can you take me to my brother and father's room? I want to see them" said Alvin, staring expectantly at a woman examining him.
The nurse looked silent, she looked awkward as if confused as to answer what.
"Grandfather, haven't been able to move much. So, better, Adek, just rest yes," replied the nurse.
Alvin exhaled a rough breath, hearing the nurse's reply. Again, he gets a subtle rejection from the person he asks for help.
"Sus, may I ask, how many days have I been here?" ask Alvin again.
He had been conscious for two days, but no family had visited him, apart from his grandparents.
Alvin just wanted to know, where the father, mother, and, sister went, why until now no one came.
"So, don't know yet? Adek, it has been three days lying unconscious, and now the two days are conscious. So if summed up, Adek, it's been five days in the hospital" replied the nurse, explaining.
"Five days?" Alvin did not believe what he was hearing.
No way, how could I have been here for five days? Why didn't Grandpa and Grandma tell me?' inner Alvin.
Alvin's eyes glazed over, remembering the incident, the various things that might have happened, now filled every gap of his mind.
What really happened, why are they hiding something? Alvin kept asking in his heart.
Getting up and sitting on the edge of the gurney, determined to figure it all out right now, standing with a cradle, Alvin began to step outside of his inpatient room.
He slightly lowered his head to cover his face, so as not to be seen by the other health workers.
When he got outside, he heard the nurse who had just finished checking him was talking to his friend.
"You know the teenage patient, the accident victim five days ago?" ask the nurse.
"Yes. Didn't you just check it out?" said one of his friends.
Alvin fell silent behind the wall, listening to the nurses' conversation.
"She asked me about her parents and her sister. My God, I feel so sorry for her, she seems to miss them so much" the nurse began to tell me.
"Yes, I feel sorry for him too. He was too small to accept this disaster. I'm afraid she can't accept that to the point, her father and sister didn't survive the accident."
Alvin widened his eyes, hearing the words of one of the nurses, he clenched his hands, holding back the turmoil of taste within him.
"So, that's not possible. Father and Alin could not have left me with my mother," said Alvin, shaking weakly.
He was really surprised by what he heard, it was indeed too shocking. He is still recovering after a serious injury.
With reddened eyes, he walked over to the crowd of nurses.
"Is it true what you said?" alvin asked, staring at the nurses in turn.
The young women were surprised to see Avin coming, they reflexively covered their mouths with widened eyes.
"Please tell me the truth, I want to know if my father and sister are still alive?" alvin asked, with a pleading look and demanding an answer.
The nurses looked at each other, they were confused about what to answer, at a teenager who had just lost two of his family at once.
"M–they ... they are dead, on the way to the hospital," replied one of the nurses with their heads lowered.
The teenager's defense finally collapsed, he could no longer endure the pain in his heart.
The drops of tears that he had previously endured, now that he could no longer bear, he could no longer pretend to look strong.
"So, you're kidding me, right?! My father and sister are strong people, they can't leave me so!" alvin shouted, looking at the nurses in turn.
"No way, Father! Alin!" alvin shouted, with his body resting on the floor.
His legs felt weak without energy, even if only to hold the weight of his body is not much.
He wept roaring with his frail body, venting out the pain and tightness he had been enduring in the hope that there would be good news.
However, now all hope had been lost, by the news he had just heard. The hope of reuniting with his father and brother has now sunk, he still does not believe, even though his heart still feels very painful.
