"Vin, where do we eat now?" imran asked, after they had come out of the musala.
"I'm bringing supplies, Ran," replied Alvin.
"Well, now that you've brought supplies, why?" Imran was surprised by Alvin's reply.
"Yes, let's be more economical, after all grandma also agrees," replied Alvin.
"Where do you want to eat?" ask Imran.
"In the back garden alone, the deserted."
"Yes, you, wait for me. I bought some food in the cafeteria."
"I'm going to class first too. We'll meet you there."
Imran nodded, they were separated with a different purpose. Alvin returns to class to pick up supplies, while Imran goes to the cafeteria.
A little while later, Alvin is already leafy in the back garden, waiting for Imran who has not yet come.
His mind returned this morning, when he and his grandfather both returned from the mosque.
Back flash.
"Vin, Grandpa is sorry about yesterday afternoon. Turns out grandfather misunderstood you," said Darman, in between his second steps.
Alvin turned his flash to his grandfather, he never expected an apology from his grandfather. As a grandson, Alvin already knew enough that his grandfather had a pretty strong character.
"Grandfather just doesn't want to, you're doing the wrong thing just to fill your bowels and your world's passions, Vin. Remember that food is very important for our lives in the future, because it will blend with our blood and body."
"So we have to know very well that food is halal, before we interpret it. We do not know what will happen to our bodies or lives, if the food that is our source of energy in living life alone is dirty."
"You know the bike, right?" tanya Darman who was immediately embraced by Alvin.
"Motor only if we fill with gasoline oplosan, long time will happen damage, even a big problem may occur, and will trouble us as owners and users."
"So does food for humans, if the food looks dirty, it may cause diseases that look also like stomach pain."
"But, if the food is dirty that does not look like the forbidden food, it is not only a visible disease that we will receive, but an invisible disease and we are not aware of it, it will spring up inside of us."
Alvin listened to all of his grandfather's words carefully.
"Grandfather, what is invisible disease?" alvin asked, a little foreign to the term.
"Diseases that we cannot see with our eyes. For example liver disease .. such as nature, envy, spiteful, arrogant, and many more. Because in fact, the forbidden food is not diridhoi by, The Creator."
"And remember, the food that is forbidden by our religion, not just the ones listed, such as pork or alcoholic beverages. But, food from the results of stealing or the money we use to buy, it is also from work that is not halal, then the food will be banned for us."
"So we also have to choose what work we do, lest the work is not halal. So, huh, Cake?" alvin asked, having heard enough of his grandfather's words in the form of advice.
"Yes, right." Darman smiled at the words of his grandson.
"Ohya, last night, your grandmother said that you would work to find a conch in the rice field, to feed Bi Inah's duck. Is true?" ask Darman again.
"Yes, Cake. Just on Sundays, or just have some free time. It's good to make money saving," said Alvin with a smile.
"But, that's also if Grandpa and Grandma allow it" he continued.
"You can work, as long as you promise not to interfere with your school and grades. If the grades at school go down, eating grandfather will immediately tell Inah to dismiss you, how?" ask Darman.
"Thank you, Cake" said Alvin.
"Hem." Darman only muttered as he walked ahead of Alvin, as they had already reached the front of the house.
The old man smiled faintly, seeing the happiness of the grandson, although in his heart he also felt pain, seeing the spirit of Alvin to boast both parents and his sister.
Flash back off.
"Hey, just daydream." Imran immediately sat down beside Alvin while opening the fried rice he bought in the canteen.
"Yuk eat, hungry" said Imran again.
Alvin smiled, although at first he was quite surprised by the arrival of Imran. He immediately opened a package of banana leaves, containing rice and omelet, made by the grandmother this morning.
They also ate together in the back garden of the school which was quite quiet, until there were almost no other students there.
In his heart, Alvin is grateful for being able to have a brother and friend like Imran.
However, Imran's remarks often embarrassed him for being too outspoken. However, Imran was always nearby and accompanied him, when others did not even want to be close to him now.
Orphans of mothers who are mentally ill and live in deprivation, who would be friends with him. Maybe if there's no Imran, he can't even make friends here.
Yes, although Alvin always refused to call his mother sick. But his heart cannot be lied to.
Remembering his mother, Alvin felt tightness inside his chest, he was eager to get angry maybe even cry.
However, all that he was damned in the chest, trying to bury the pain, with the happiness and smile that he always tried to spread.
Alvin realized, if the bitter memories will never be forgotten, the pain was always a memory and part of his life story.
Therefore, he could only suppress and put it at the limit of his heart and deepest thoughts. Even though the dream still haunts him every night.

Back at school, Alvin again stopped by Bi Inah's house, to tell about the approval of his grandparents.
Of course Bi Inah was also happy to hear the words of the teenage boy. He already knew the story of the life of Alvin of Esih.
Also heard of Alvin's very diligent nature is also a hard worker. He was quite happy to be able to help the teenager, even if it wasn't too much.
"Then, Alvin, go home first, Bi," said Alvin.
"Yes, later if you have started collecting conch, just bring it here. I will pay directly after receiving the conch from you," said Bi Inah.
"Good, Bi. I will definitely bring it here immediately" replied Alvin with a bright smile.
He kissed the back of Bi Inah's hand, before turning around and walking away from the middle-aged woman.
Bi Inah shook her head faintly, looking at Alvin who seemed so excited after getting his new job.
"You're a different kid, Vin. While children your age are still playing and lazing around, you should instead work for your life and your mother's," he murmured, staring at Alvin's pitying back.
