"Excuse me, Miss. I'm going home fast" Alvin said, as soon as he was allowed into his boss's office.
"Heem, congratulations on your graduation tomorrow," replied Indira, turning her eyes to Alvin at a glance.
"Thank you, Miss. Then I say goodbye, Assalamualaikum." Alvin bent.
"Heem." That was the only answer he got from his beautiful boss.
For some reason, since the wedding anniversary party of his parents, his boss turned colder than usual. He only talks about work.
Alvin went outside, he went straight to the parking lot, took the car he had borrowed from his beautiful boss. This afternoon he'll pick up grandma and Imran at the bus stop.
Those who will accompany him attend the graduation tomorrow. Finally after a long time Alvin struggled in college, Alvin can be finished at the right time.
"Assalamualaikum, Nek, Ran," said Alvin while kissing the back of Grandma's hand, then bertos ria with Imran.
"Waalaikumsalam, are you healthy, son?" grandma asked, rubbing shoulders until Alvin's upper arm repeated.
"Alhamdulillah, Alvin's healthy, Grandma. Grandma, she's healthy too, right? I'm sorry Alvin took a shot, Grandma again," Alvin said at length.
After Grandpa Darman's departure, Grandma's health condition had already declined considerably. Even so, Grandma still wants to attend her grandson's graduation event. He wanted to see Grandpa Darman's ideals to see Alvin succeed and graduate college, finally being able to materialize. After a year, Grandpa Darman died.
"Alhamdulillah. You're getting higher, son. Grandma should now look up to see you," Granny Esih joked.
Alvin chuckled, he then slightly bent his knees so that his height could match the height of Granny Esih.
"Well what if, Grandma?" joking.
"Basic, this kid!" Iceh's grandmother immediately chuckled, seeing the silly behavior of her grandson, she patted Alvin's shoulder as a sign of a sense of preoccupation mixed with happiness, when invited to joke by Alvin.
"Yuk, we're onto the contract. Alvin had borrowed a car from the office" Alvin said, pointing to a parked car not far from them.
Grandma Esih and Imran looked at the car appointed by Alvin, they then nodded.
Alvin was about to take the bag belonging to Grandma Esih from Imran's hands, he did not feel good to the brother and friend who continued to be repotted. Imran, however, immediately distanced his hand.
"You, help Grandma walk" whispered Imran.
Alvin looked at Imran's eyes, saw Imran nod as if saying he was okay, Alvin just turned back to Grandma.
"Come, Grandma," said Alvin, holding Esih's grandmother's hand.
Alvin helped Grandma Esih to sit on the back, while in front for Imran. After making sure everything got into the car, Alvin started driving the car to the rented car.
Along the way, Grandma Esih who has not seen the condition of Jakarta City continues to talk comparing conditions past and present.
"Why don't you stay home for so long, Vin?" asked Grandma Esih suddenly.
The old house is still good until now, the contracted person is also clean and tidy, they take good care of the house left by Alvin's parents.
Alvin was silent, he also actually wanted to go back there. But he still hesitates to do so. For some reason, every time he saw the house, the memories of him and the whole family always rose. It was also able to remind the accident he experienced with Mr and Alin.
The accident he suspected happened on purpose. The accident, which he said was caused by a brake blong, although the driver was never arrested, on the grounds of escape. Every time Alvin remembers all that, he always wants to go back to find out about the accident that he thought was never revealed the truth.
It was obvious to him that the driver had slightly braked his car before stepping on the gas again and hitting them on purpose. However, because he had no evidence at all, Alvin could not testify at the police station.
Alvin wants to find the driver of a truck that hit their car many times, killing Mr. and Alin. He wants to see how the life of the driver who has run away from his responsibilities, to Mr and Alin.
Alvin also wants to make sure that all of it is indeed an accident, or just part of a person's ambition after previously destroying the business owned by you. Alvin would never be willing if all that happened, he was afraid he could not forgive the people involved in the accident later.
Even worse, Alvin is afraid that it turns out the people involved, maybe one of them he already knew without him intentionally.
"Vin," called Grandma Esih again when Alvin did not answer. He thought Alvin hadn't heard his words.
"I–iya, Grandma?" Alvin glanced at Grandma Esih.
"Emh, that, Grandma. Alvin already lives with Mang Lukman. There, the people are kind and friendly" Alvin continued.
"Oh, so. But, it's not good, Vin, if you stay there continue," said Grandma Esih.
"I like to help you pay the rent, Grandma. We like it for two, so it's cheaper. Some of the old house rent money, enough to add to the cost of treatment Mama, Grandma," explained Alvin. His voice sounded ordinary, although in the last sentence, he had to endure the dryness in his throat.
"Heem, thank goodness then. So now you split the cost of the rented house. Maybe it can also ease a little bit of Lukman's burden." Grandma Esih nodded.
Imran who knows Alvin's face changes, when Grandma Esih talks about the old house, pays attention to her best friend. He just listened to the conversation, without intervening or chiming in.
While driving, Alvin had parked the car he was driving in the village field, Imran went down first and opened the trunk to take his bag and belonged to Grandma Esih.
After everything was done, Alvin went down and helped Grandma Esih, as well as taking her briefcase that she kept in the back seat.
"Bang Alvin, are you home from work?!" greet the children who were playing on the field when they saw Alvin out of the car.
"Yes. Play the real thing, Brother pull the office car, yes. Don't get chafed," replied Alvin plus a little joke.
"Ready, Bang!" exclaim almost all the children there, while giving the flag salute.
"Hahaha .. It's been, there play again." Alvin chuckled at the cohesiveness of the children.
"You're familiar with children, Vin?" ask Grandma Esih.
"He's teaching tutoring, Grandma. Then he also likes to treat hawks.where can children reject all that." Only this time Imran answered, he knew all that because he had seen it himself when he came here.
"Teach lessons if you want to have a test, Grandma. If every day mah, Alvin can not," explained Alvin.
Grandma Esih nodded her head, hearing the explanation of her two grandchildren.
They walked towards the contract where Alvin and Mang Lukman had been staying. Grandma Esih who had just come here for the first time, circulated her gaze, looking at the situation around the village.
Granny Esih, could see along the way, so many were greeting Alvin. It turned out that his grandson was quite famous in the area where he lived, Grandma Esih was also happy to see all that.
Arriving at the contract, Alvin immediately opened the door for Imran and Grandma Esih, It looks like Mang Lukman has not returned home, so the contract is still locked.
"Let's go in, Grandma, Ran" said Alvin, opening the door wide.
"Assalamualaikum," said Grandma Esih, as soon as she stepped into the house.
Grandma Esih circulated her gaze, looking at the entire contents inside the house. Quite neat and clean, even though the occupants are two men.
"Where would you sleep, Vin?" asked Grandma Esih, when she saw that there was no room here.
"Here, Grandma. Later stay given a bed only," replied Alvin relaxed.
Grandma Esih nodded her head. "Grandma's going to the bathroom, where?"
"Bathroom's in the back, Grandma. Want Alvin to go?" alvin said, pointing towards the back of the house.
"No, Grandma just wants to pee. If it is old like this, so like to urinate often," said Grandma Esih, while moving to the back.
Alvin nodded, he then picked up the carpet for the pedestal, and spread it out there. The two men sat together, waiting for Grandma Esih to finish urinating, while talking.
