The mourners and the people who delivered Grandpa Darman to the funeral have started to move home. Now live Alvin and Imran who still survive beside the pusara that is still wet.
Alvin squeezed the ground that was still covered in fresh flowers, feeling moist and cold in the palm of the hand.
"Vin, we're going home now." Imran who had been squatting next to Alvin patted the shoulder of his brother and best friend.
"Ran, what do I do after this?" ask Alvin lirih. His voice was almost inaudible.
Imran fell silent, he was also confused as to what to answer. Alvin was the closest grandson to Grandpa Darman. Until sometimes the closeness of the two invites the envy of children and grandchildren of other Darman grandfathers.
No wonder Alvin now looks very bad, compared to the children and grandchildren of other Grandpa Darman.
"Vin, sorry I came late." Suddenly someone else patted Alvin on the shoulder.
Alvin was a little surprised, he turned his head to the back where there was already Jani and Anji.
"Jani?" alvin asked with a deep frown on his forehead.
"We're so sorry, Vin." Anji spoke in a friendly tone. Unlike the usual who always use high notes, when talking to Alvin.
Alvin nodded, and then stood up. "You two are here?" ask Alvin.
"No, we're the same Arkan" replied Jani.
"Take them home, Vin. It's hot here" Imran said, this is a chance to bring Alvin home.
Alvin turned to Imran at a glance. "Come, let's just go home," Alvin asked to justify his brother's words.
The distance from the house to the cemetery is only about a ten-minute walk. Along the way are only colored by the chatter of Imran and Anji, while Alvin seems more silent.
Arriving home, it was true that there was already Arkan who was talking to his uncles.
"Assalamualaikum, sir," said Alvin, bowing respectfully in front of Arkan who is the boss at the company where he works.
"Waalaikumsalam," Arkan replied, nodding faintly.
That afternoon Alvin accompanied Jani, Anji, and Akram, and asked to be given time back at least until the completion of the seven-day event Darman grandfather.
Initially Arkan objected, he was afraid that later the other employees felt himself as a favoritism as a superior. Until finally Arkan agreed, after being persuaded continuously by Jani.
Honestly, actually Alvin also felt bad, because too long to leave his job. However, she could not possibly leave her grandmother in this state. Plus, he felt unable to work again, before his heart felt calmer.

Six days Alvin passed without his grandfather. Today is the last day Alvin is in the village. Tomorrow morning Alvin must return to Jakartal immediately, considering this was the last time he was granted leave by Arkan.
"Vin, are you going to town tomorrow?" imran asked while helping to arrange the carpet for the last night's recitation.
"Yes, Ran. I can't let go of this job, after everything I've been through, I feel like this is the way for me to improve" Alvin replied. He then took the bottled water to be laid out in the middle of the carpet and mat that had been laid out.
"Because you have to lose this job, right?" continued again.
"Yes, Vin. Grandma here is okay, you just focus on work and college, so that your life is better, after grandfather left us." Esih who just came out of the room chimed in.
Now the old woman was calmer, even though her face did not look as bright as before. However, all that is natural after losing the figure of a husband who has been together for so long.
Alvin seemed silent when his grandmother joined, during this time his grandmother made him feel heavy to return to Jakarta.
However, now he also remembered that not only he could take care of his grandmother, there were children and grandchildren of Grandma Esih other than himself. They would also definitely take care of and comfort her grandmother better than her.
Alvin and the others seemed to be sitting on the mat after all the study preparation. Alvin got a lot of advice from everyone who was there, as well as words that made him feel more at ease leaving his grandmother here.

The day just passed, now Alvin is back in Jakarta. This morning he was preparing to return to work at the office, after more than two weeks he did not enter.
Arriving at the office, he immediately became the subject of attention, many of his co-workers were staring at him with cynical eyes.
"Lho, Vin, I thought you were out?" ask one of the employees who happens to be his senior.
Alvin smiled awkwardly as he rubbed his nape. Is it just his feelings, or is it reality? Alvin felt the man before him speaking in an innate tone, and looked at him hatefully. Whereas before, the man was one of the seniors who was very good to him.
"No, Bang. I only take leave, because there are family matters that must be resolved first" replied Alvin.
The man, who may have been about twenty-five, only raised his shoulders, raising his eyebrows, as if he did not believe Alvin's words.
"Oh," he said, then it just passed.
Alvin looked at him with a deep frown, though he finally chose to continue his steps toward the room where he worked.
As he walked down the hall, Alvin felt increasingly uneasy and uncomfortable with the gazes of his co-workers. They always answered her as usual. However, Alvin is also not a child who can not read the facial features of someone.
Alvin knows that the employees are now feeling unfair, considering he is just a new employee. However, he was able to apply for leave for a long time.
Though so far the office has divided the time off in one year at some important times and major holidays. However, now they feel they are being treated unfairly by the company, because an Alvin.
Without Alvin knowing, behind him they were all busy gossiping about it, because Alvin was thought to enter work through insiders.
"Eh, Alvin's been in work again. I just saw it from the employee group" said a young woman who was the ringleader of the office gossip.
"It's true, he has an inside acquaintance, so he can do as he pleases!" timpal is a woman who appears to use thick glasses.
"I heard she was the boyfriend of her boss' sister." a remark from the woody man who had just come distract the three women who were busy gossiping about it.
"Vin, why don't you come in?" questions from the middle-aged man who was the team leader in the division, left Alvin aghast.
"Ah, here I just want to enter, sir," replied Alvin, opening the door to the room where he worked with several others.
