"Is this all because Alvin is Papi's son from Papi's other affair?" continued Indira again, which immediately made the eyes of the two middle-aged widen.
"Don't talk to you, Indira!" snapped Mr. Mardo to his daughter, even his palm had landed on Indira's cheek.
Indira seemed to hold next to his cheek that felt hot and sore, due to the hard slap of Mr. Mardo. His teary eyes held back the disappointment to his own biological father.
However, all that did not make Indira daunted, he even more challenging Mr. Mardo and demanding an explanation to both parents.
"What else is the reason if not that? Why are you guys questioning Alvin's existence?" cecar Indira again.
Quarrels continued without finding a way out, they were equally hard in their respective desires. Alvin who was standing outside said-sayup heard the boss's family quarrel.
At first Alvin just ignored it and thought it was no longer his room to interfere. However, when he heard his name mentioned, automatically his ears seemed to be able to hear more clearly every word that went out of everyone in the room.
Although he was seen standing upright while watching and seeing other employees working. But his ears became wary of the debate that was going on behind the door.
They argue over me? inner Alvin with a deep frown.
Moments later the door opened featuring both of Indira's parents, Alvin instantly turned around and shifted his body to give way to the two middle-aged men.
"Basic doesn't know yourself!" decak Bu Mardo, when passing Alvin.
After making sure both of Indira's parents left, Alvin knocked on Indira's door, slowly entering after the woman allowed him to.
As soon as Alvin walked in, he could see Indira sitting on the sofa trying to wipe away her tears.
"What's up, Vin?" indira asked while looking at Alvin at a glance then chose to throw away his face.
Alvin could see there was a reddish color on one of Indira's cheeks, it must have been a slap that had been heard by Alvin.
There was a sense of guilt in Alvin's heart, for some reason he felt it was always a problem for the women nearby. Starting from Jani and now Indira.
"Wait a minute, I'll be back" said Alvin who went straight outside again, he took a box of P3K, towels and ice cubes to compress Indira's cheeks.
Not long ago Alvin actually came back with all of that in his hands. He walked over to Indira who seemed to be still sitting on the sofa.
"What's the matter, Miss?" alvin asked, his hand handed over a towel containing ice cubes to Indira.
Indira looked at Alvin, she never thought that a stiff man like Alvin, had a soft side as well.
"Thank you" said Indira, taking a towel with a stone from Alvin's hand, and then putting it on her cheek.
"I know, it's just so presumptuous. It's just that I also can't stay still when I hear my name called," said Alvin again.
Alvin applied betadine to a torn wound in the corner of Indira's lips that looked bloody.
"Ssh," hissed Indira when he felt pain.
"This is my family's problem, it has nothing to do with you, Vin," Indira replied as she turned her eyes away.
"If it has nothing to do with me, then why is my name called? Can I hear it?" Alvin's trying to figure out the truth or maybe Indira's confession.
"Nobody mentioned your name, Vin. Maybe you just misheard," said Indira, continuing to avoid Alvin's question.
Alvin exhaled softly, he then stood back up.
"Well then, excuse me to go back to my desk. I'm hoping you can take better care of yourself in the future, Miss," Alvin said, then walked to the door.
"Wait!" Alvin stopped his steps and then went back to see his boss.
"What would you do if your parents forced you to throw away people who have helped you so much?" ask Indira suddenly.
Alvin was silent, the frown on his forehead looking deep. He then walked back closer to his boss.
"I've never experienced what you ask. However, it may be better if you obey the orders of parents, because they must always try their best for their children" replied Alvin.
"Your parents must be very nice, until you want to give up the people around you for their sake" Indira guessed with a slick smile on her lips.
Alvin smiled he then nodded. "Yes, they are amazing" he replied.
In his memory Alvin only saw his parents for as long as their family was still untouched, before an accident took away all his happiness.
"Yes, you can go outside now" Indira said, then leaned her back on the sofa.
Alvin looked down at the flash, then walked outside.
If I was the problem of their family, it might be better that Miss Indira chose her parents over me, Inner Alvin.
With a definite step Alvin walked towards his desk again, after the afternoon it went very chaotic, because of the arrival of his boss' parents.
While in his room, Indira seemed silent, he kept thinking about Alvin's words. Maybe if his family were like any other family, he wouldn't be as difficult to choose as he is today.
He's just been like a child with no parents, ever since his birth mother died and his father remarried. He was only considered a child who hitchhiked to life with his father and stepmother.
His life has always been compared to his half-brother who he says has always been the pride of his family. Since then Indira has always worked hard to be smarter than her stepbrother.
Competition in the family also continues, without anyone knowing, the two continue to race. Behind the praise that comes to the Mardo family, there is permission between his children, which is embedded since childhood, until now Indira has not even met his half-brother.
"Do I have to give up now?" muttered Indira again.

Alvin walked out of the office, headed to the parking lot to pick up the motorbike. Because of the return time of the employees, the parking lot looks crowded, with other employees who also want to go home. They are racing to go home first, to quickly get to each other's homes.
Alvin walked leisurely in the back, he arrived at the parking lot when the conditions were quite quiet and many vehicles had disappeared, carried by their respective owners.
Wearing a helmet and preparing to ride a motorcycle, another employee seemed confused in the parking area. Alvin who saw that, undo his intentions, then chose to approach the person.
"What's up, sir?" alvin asked the middle-aged man who was wearing a driver's uniform, it seemed like he was one of the drivers of the company's vehicle unit.
"I had to quickly follow my son to the hospital. But, my bike broke down .. ouch, how is this?" said confusion.
"Son, sir, in the hospital?" ask Alvin.
"Yes, my third child has been hot since yesterday, and now they have to be hospitalized, they don't bring money, so I have to go there immediately, so that my child can get treatment," obviously that Father.
"Then, Father, I'll take you, how?" ask Alvin.
"What's not a hassle?" ask the father expectantly.
"No, Sir. I happen to be free" said Alvin.
The two eventually left the office together, Alvin memebonceng Mr. was headed to the hospital. However, in the middle of the road suddenly there is a car that stops right in front of Alvin's motorbike, so Alvin almost fell because he had to brake medadak.
"What's this, son?" asked Mr. Alvin bonceng, he felt panicked when some burly people looked out of the car.
"I don't know either, sir," replied Alvin.
Alvin quickly tried to rewind the bike, trying to avoid the men. However, it turns out that Alvin is not fast enough, because the burly men can prevent it. Fortunately Alvin was able to pick up the keys first, before being snatched away by those people.
"Who are you?" alvin asked, when he was surrounded by five sturdy men.
"How about this, son?" ask the man behind Alvin.
Alvin thought hard, he then quietly handed the keys to the motorcycle to the Father behind him.
"I will face them, in the meantime you should be able to get out of here, and seek help" Alvin said, giving instructions, which were immediately embraced by the middle-aged man in front of him.
