ALVIN Trying to Rise

ALVIN Trying to Rise
First day of school

...Happy Reading's...

Alvin had just returned from school, after receiving a decision that he was accepted into school with a scholarship.

Right now he was pensive to see all the expenses he had to incur, for his uniform and other school equipment.

Yeah, even though Alvin got a scholarship. However, he also had to spend money on school uniforms and other equipment, such as books and also the cost of commuting by public transport.

The distance from the school to the house is quite far, he had to spend approximately fifteen minutes using public transportation.

Currently I do have savings for all this, from the rent of a house in Jakarta. But what about the next years? Moreover, the cost for the care of the mama, Inner Alvin murmured to himself.

Seeing the lives of his grandparents in the village that is all-starved, makes him not want to add to the burden of the lives of the parents.

Do I have to find a job? But, what job?

The fine wrinkles on Alvin's forehead were now clearly visible, he kept thinking for his future survival.

"Assalamualaik." Someone's voice from the front of the house resuscitated Alvin's daydream, he moved from his place to the front door.

"Wa'alaikumsalam," replied Alvin, opening the door.

"Have you come home, Vin?" ask Esih who just came home from the rice field.

"Yes, Grandma. Sorry, today Alvin did not help, Grandma, same Grandpa in the rice field," said Alvin.

"Nothing, you just focus on school, so you can be proud of your parents and Alin. Yea?" esih.

Alvin was silent, he only nodded faintly, although in his heart it still felt stuck.

Esih smiled then rubbed Alvin's upper arm, "Grandmother, go in first. To clean up."

"Yes, Grandma" replied Alvin.

The day continues to change, now is the time for Alvin to enter school on the second day, after the previous day he entered with the agenda of introducing new students.

Today she has dressed up with all the typical attributes of MOS (Student Orientation Period) or what is now also called MPLS (School Environment Introduction Time)

"Sir, Grandma, I'll go to school first. Pray for me yes, Mother, Grandma, so that the excitement today goes well," said Alvin, then kissed the back of Esih's hand.

"We will always pray for you, Vin. Be careful on the road, yes" said Esih, rubbing the head of his grandson.

"Yes, Grandma," replied Alvin, he switched to kissing Darman's hand.

"Take good care of yourself and make your parents proud of you" Darman said.

"Surely, Cake," Alvin replied with a feisty smile.

"Vin, let's go together!" call Imran, one of Alvin's uncle's children.

It just so happens that he is also a school with Alvin, although Imran does not get a scholarship.

"Yuk," replied Alvin, then turned to his grandparents again.

"Assalamualaikum, Cake, Grandma," said Alvin.

"Wa'alaikumsalam" the old couple replied.

Imran also approached to kiss Darman and Esih's hands, then said goodbye. The two teenagers finally left together to go to school, using public transport.

A while later, the two had already arrived at a school, both of them directly entered along with the other students.

They were immediately directed towards the field, to gather with the other new students, as well as the upperclassmen in charge of guiding them.

Alvin does have a handsome face and a clean body, making himself quite a matter of attention, especially for female students.

However, that does not make Alvin someone who is arrogant, or feels he has advantages.

He is still Alvin who looks quiet, but still easily get along with many people, especially men.

Until the second day of school, he had enough friends.

They both get the same treatment as the other new students, until it all goes well until it is finished.

The second week of school, now entering the teaching and learning process, Alvin got a different class with Imran.

Even so, their classes are still close together, so the two are still easy to communicate.

Alvin was just sitting on one of the benches, when a woman came to him.

"Hi, Alvin. Do you remember me?" ask the woman.

Alvin slightly squinted his eyes, recalling the woman who was now sitting in front of him.

"I'm Milka, who yesterday was in a group with you," said the woman again.

Alvin smiled faintly, he nodded his head even though he actually did not remember the woman in front of him.

"Oh, Milka yes," replied Alvin.

"What's up, Milka?" ask Alvin again.

"It's okay, just want to talk," said the woman.

Alvin smiled faintly while nodding his head, after which he returned cool with his reading book.

Not long after, came some students who looked quite different from the others. They seem more fashionable and stylish, even if this is only in school.

"Hi Milka," they greeted Milka, in her flirtatious style.

"Huh, why are you sitting here?" ask one of the men to Alvin.

Alvin looked at the four men, who were now surrounding the table where he was sitting.

"This table no one has, yet" replied Alvin.

"Can't! Move you now, this table is mine" said one of the men.

"Pras, what the hell are you? This is already occupied by Alvin," said Milka who sided with Alvin.

"I don't like you hanging out with him. Remember you're my sister's boyfriend," obviously the man Pras calls Milka.

"I'm not Dandi's girlfriend, Pras!" press Milka.

"After that, I moved on," Alvin broke up while picking up his bag and book and shifted to the empty table.

"Tuh, look. He wants to move on." Pras said triumphantly.

Milka saw Alvin who was already sitting in a different chair, he clucked resentfully at the four men who were now sitting around him.

Alvin chose to move and sit near the window, in the order of number two from the back.

A few moments later the school bell rang, indicating that the time to enter the school has arrived, the students who were previously outside the classroom were competing with each other to get into their respective classes.

Not waiting long, the first teacher entered, to make the class quiet for a moment.

.

.

The break bell rang, almost all the students in the class flocked to the cafeteria, for snacks and lunch.

Unlike the others, Alvin instead went to the musala to perform dhuha prayers. Alvin, who had begun to get used to living in short supply, had to apply a concerned lifestyle to himself.

He had already decided not to use his allowance, other than for lunch. So he chose to remain silent in that place of worship.

It turned out that not only he was there, quite a lot of students and teachers who performed dhuha prayers like himself.

That includes Imran, his brother also did the same with Alvin. Even though he has pocket money from his parents.

However, Imran prefers to accompany Alvin, while getting used to deepening his faith. Remembering Alvin who was quite obedient in worship.
