The Great War of Rhodesia

The Great War of Rhodesia
22. Invasion of Opponent IV

"What just was Light Magic?" It was seen that the General of the Augra Army began to display his fears this time.

"If what I heard is true, it means that the White Lightning is most likely with them right now" said the knight next to the General.

"White Lightning... This is beyond our calculations, General. It would be very dangerous, if he went down in the battlefield" said another knight.

"Yes, I know. Now if it wasn't for the numbers, our troops wouldn't be able to keep up with them." The General was seen staring pusillar towards the dark sky after the explosion. Return to account for the next possibility and strategy.

"Then what now, General?"

The general replied, Another knight cut.

"Look, the ship suddenly moved quickly."

But without orders and cues, Lanar who stood on a higher plain behind the General again launched his magic arrow shot.

And no different from before, the pillar-shaped magic sparkled back in the shot to block the arrow attack.

.

"I don't think you'll be able to break through it, Lan," said a knight who was folding a hand next to Lanar. A medium-sized magic wand was in the grasp of his right hand.

"Kh..." Lanar clucked in annoyance as she lowered her bow. "I didn't think there would be a White Lightning inside the flying object" he said later, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I don't think it's just White Lightning. Look at the strange boat movements. It's changing faster, as if the wind is siding with them now." The knight with the magic wand spoke again. Showing things that Lanar was unaware of.

"What do you mean they used wind magic to push that thing?" asked Lanar who was beginning to be aware of this.

"probably. With the help of this Mystical Weapon, I can feel the considerable movement of the Soul Stream from that ship." The knight raised the magic wand with a green-colored crystal stone at the end, to show it to Lanar.

"Is there an Aeron in that flying object?" Lanar looked worried about her own conjecture.

"You must have also heard of the Elves helping the kingdom, right? Even they made a tool to shut down the power of the Arcane Crystals in the central region of their kingdom," the knight replied with an explanation.

"Yes, obviously I've heard of it."

"And who else could have made such a device except Aeron" the knight added.

Lanar looked stunned at the ship called Delay, which quickly shortened the distance. He tried to digest the words of the magic wand knight.

"Oh, that means we are in danger now" said Lanar then who was just aware of the danger that might befall him and his entire army.

Then immediately the female knight rushed down, then ran to report her conjecture to the General.

"General," cried Lanar as soon as he arrived next to the General.

"Yes, Lanar. I-i know. There must be more than White Lightning on board," said the General before Lanar had time to speak.

"According to Portas, there may be Aeron also in the flying object, General," Lanar said.

"Aeron?" The knight next to the General looked surprised to hear Lanar's words just now. "Yes, I've heard of some Elves who sided with that kingdom. But I didn't expect them to actually jump into the battlefield either" he added, sounding in disbelief.

"Indeed, White Lightning and Aeron would completely side with them. What's more, they have an object that can fly like that." The General spoke while looking at the situation of the troops before him. "Command the troops to withdraw" he said later after careful consideration.

"Ready, General!" sahut firmly from the knight who was next to the General before then ran forward to continue the order.

"We will not survive an air attack if they intend to carry out an attack using the aircraft," the General said as he mounted his horse. "We're going to Marad City to rearrange our strategy to deal with White Lightning and the flying object" he added, who then pulled the reins of his horse to turn around.

"What if they chase us to Marad City, General?" ask one of the knights who was also sitting on the saddle of his horse.

"They won't do it." The General answered. "Basically they had no intention of carrying out an attack. They're just holding us back from attacking their territory, because now they're at war with Vistralle and Tyrion. So the possibility of them chasing us, is small" he added.

"Dropping that flying object with a fortress fighter? Such common equipment? Do you think they haven't thought of such a thing before, and are preparing a way to anticipate it?" The general asked the knight back. Which made the knight speechless unable to answer.

"We have Mystical Weapons to attack flying objects that alone are things they did not take into account before. And even so they managed to overcome it no more than 4 shots," said the General again. "And their attack was merely to defend. Then what do you think happens when we provoke them to actually attack?" he asked then who still did not get an answer.

While some of the knights who heard the General's words could only nod. They were quite aware of the situation mentioned by the General.

And after that slowly and gradually, the Augra Army began to retreat regularly from the path flanked by the two high cliffs. While the Rhapsodia Army still continued to urge their opponents until it was completely out of the mouth of the valley.

-

"Augra forces are starting to move backwards. The entire army remained in formation to push them to the mouth of the valley." Helen's voice was heard from the Radio Communications loudspeaker on the bridge of the Airship.

"Oh, finally." There was relief in Aksa's words. "Are they afraid of Lily's power? Why did they suddenly retreat?" tanyanya.

"I think they're aware that there's not just Lily in this Airship. Wise decision. They have a leader who can assess the situation that might happen" Nata said.

Now there are only Aksa, Nata, Val, and the ship's captain in the bridge space.

Lily and her two Yllgari friends were on the front deck, still on alert from the possibility of an attack that could come at any time.

While Yvvone and the other Elves were at the back of the ship, it still used wind magic to push the ship to move faster.

"Yes, whatever it is. Thankful that everything is done now" Aksa said later. "I'm going to Yvvone's place to tell him to stop pushing this ship again" he added as he ran outside.

"alright. I also have to contact Miss Helen," Nata replied as she grabbed the Microphone handle from Radio Communications.

Shortly afterwards there were cheers from the Rhapsodia squad when their opponent was completely out of sight. Which at once signaled that the war was over, and they had won.

After that the Rhapsodian Army made camp at the mouth of the valley and spent the night before the next morning marching back to the fortress of Trava Mines.

While above Berunda, Aksa and Nata do not plan to join overnight. They'll be back in the mines by then.

"The plan is that Miss Helen and the others will return to the mine tomorrow afternoon. Satelah made sure that the opposing forces were not hiding around this place." Evora reports to Nata from the top of the Delayed deck.

"Then let's go back. I feel like I need a break after the Adrenaline shock just now" Aksa said later.

"Well, Mr. Aksa," replied Evora who then took over the ship by giving orders to several crew members to prepare.

"I don't think they'll just give up. Seeing how persistent they were in the face of the attack from the Yllgarians," Murrel said as they were about to re-enter the bridge room.

"I think in a war that cannot be won, giving up is an opportunity. And the leader of the Augra Army took advantage of that opportunity." Nata answered.

"I think you're right. Backtracking and dodging are also strategies."

"But by the way, how many guns have you made, Val? And why can you let it spread to the corners of the world? Is this some kind of obsession of yours?" aksa said with questions that have been bothering him for the past few hours.

"I won't answer that question," Val replied indifferently.

"What if after all this is over, we have a Quest to collect Val's weapons?" said Aksa who suddenly looks excited again.

"Have you given up on coming back to Earth? We don't have time for such a ridiculous thing," Nata replied with a slight frown. "We still have to solve the problem with the Particle Breaker, remember?"

"Oh, that's right."
