16. Defensibility Preparation

"This morning the company led directly by Mr. Matyas had already headed to the Lighthill region of the Great Ravine by using our new Airship." Amithy opened their meeting that morning at the old Ignus family residence in Varun City.

"That means now that they've probably started working?" Orland chimed in from next to Aksa in front of the long dining table.

The seven of them, Aksa, Nata, Liliy, Val, Lucia, Amithy, and Orland, had just finished breakfast at the place.

"Yes, Mr. Orland. The plan is they will immediately fix the train line that connects Mara City and Randon City," Nata replied later. "While our workers here will create a new train line to connect it to this city without the need to pass through the region of Ceodore."

"Hopefully their work is smooth." Amithy.

"That means we'll just take over Ravus, and the train line connecting Trava's mine will be connected." This time it was Aksa who said. It was seen that he was still chewing food in his mouth.

At the same time in Mara. The inhabitants, along with the soldiers of Rhodesia, began to rebuild the city gates.

"I still can't believe that Randon, the Fortress City of the Elf Marga Gnior, could be destroyed with a man-made weapon?" Karka shook her head in the middle of her activity lifting the stone blocks with Guanna. They helped rebuild the northern gate.

"The troops who carried out the attack on Randon City used a Destroyer Train that could fire magic-guided bullets" replied Vossler from next to Karka who was now seen pulling up the mine to lift the wooden frame of the gate.

Vossler looked like a common man among the workers when not wearing his knightly attire.

"Are you not going to send the trains here?" asked Karka again who was seen wiping the sweat on her forehead. "Because of all the regions, this is the place that needs it the most. Now we are really in the middle of enemy territory.

"Ceodore in the north, Feymarch in the west, Saronia in the south, and Ravus in the southeast" he explained at length.

"No need to worry. Once the Steam Train line is completed, then the movement of troops and combat equipment, as well as the delivery of food to this place, will be much easier and faster." Vossler gave an answer to lessen the concerns of Karka and the people who listened to him.

"Yes, I know it's an absurd idea. But..." Unfinished Vossler said, Karka cut.

"Definitely the idea of the two strange young men?" guess the big-haired guy.

"really. Even this morning, the workers had started their work from Randon City" Vossler said later. "Maybe tonight the workers will arrive here" he added.

"Have you reported that to General Caspian as well?" vossler asked as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.

"It has. Before I came here." Versica answered quickly.

"Goodoo. That means we don't have to worry too much about it. Now we just do our job and work, while still being on alert waiting for the workers to arrive," Vossler replied calmly as he pulled the mine back before him.

Later that evening in Varun City, Nata received word from Vossler that the train line between Mara City and Randon City had been repaired. And the workers under Matyas will rest overnight, before tomorrow morning begins to help rebuild the city gates and other needed protections.

"I thought they would certainly move the troops to attack the territory of Margrace" Caspian responded while talking about the movement of the Vistralle forces.

Akas, Nata, Lucia, Caspian, and the leaders again held a meeting in an open-air tent in the middle of the camp shortly after dinner.

It seems that the activities of the people around the camp have begun to look alive. New, much brighter lights were installed throughout the city, after workers finished installing the Electric Generator this afternoon.

"Yes, he will certainly do it. But I didn't expect it to be this fast" Nata said as he occasionally observed the bustle around the tent.

"Don't you deliberately make Margrace as a lure to be attacked, Nat?" ask Lucia later.

"Not really, Your Honor. This is the most reasonable decision that most people will make." Nata answered.

"But maybe that would be rethought if only Vistralle knew that we had an Air Ship that could take down hundreds of troops anywhere and at any time. Which without caring about the existence of the Soul Stream-randomizing Magic Formation," said Aksa added.

"Yes, that's right." Nata confirmed the words of his best friend. "Air Ships are not a natural thing in this world. So to include it in our possible attack, it's impossible."
