The Great War of Rhodesia

The Great War of Rhodesia
07. Preparing the Stage

"Today, Aksa and the workers and miners have left for the Trava Mountains. And in two days we will begin our assault to important places in the Vistralle region" Nata said at a meeting held shortly after Aksa departed.

"Waiting two more days? Wouldn't it be a pity if we missed the opportunity to do another surprise attack? After the attack on the Trava Mountains, aren't they going to be more wary of us?" Vossler expressed his opinion.

"I don't think so. I'm sure now they won't realize that we're the ones who attacked the Trava Mines. Maybe even now Vistralle and the kingdom of Augra will start to suspect each other," Nata replied in response.

"really. Because it makes no sense if we carry out an attack far in the middle of the southern plains without leaving a trace when passing through the Vistralle region" Caspian added.

"Although they have suspicions, they will still not make any preparations before they are actually proven" Nata said.

"really. I think it's like that too." Lucia seems to agree with Nata. "So what we are now prioritizing is the safety of the miners and workers who are in the Trava mine there" he added later.

"Don't worry, Your Majesty. We've sent 80 Yllgarian soldiers with Mr. Aksa's entourage." Caspian.

"Later Aksa will also carry out plans to deal with the Augra attack. And once it works, we can immediately pull the Elite Troop from there and start executing the next plan." Nata gave an explanation. "It cuts all the way from the Augra region to the Ravus and Lighthill regions, before we take those territories."

"I understand, Mr. Nata." Caspian nodded in understanding.

"Will Aksa be okay?" Lucia looks a little worried.

"Although the person is whining and does not know the customs, but he is a person who is meticulous and very calculated. So Your Majesty need not worry too much about Aksa. Lily is with him." Nata answered.

"I felt sorry for the Augra soldiers. I don't know what he's going to do with them there" Jean interrupted later with a joke.

Some people laughed when they heard Jean's joke.

"Then what about Miss Versica?" Nata continued the topic of conversation.

"He's ready with his whole network. The radios we smuggle into their spy networks are also already installed and usable" Caspian said.

"Is it harmless to send Radio Communications to them, Nat? What if they betray? They can hear all our conversations with the soldiers." Lucia looks worried.

"Don't worry, Your Majesty. The radio we give them has a frequency, I mean a different communication line to the one we use. They will not hear anything outside the path we have set," explained Nata trying to eliminate Lucia's concerns.

"Oh, so radio can be used like that?" chirped Jean unconscious.

"really. And we will rely heavily on the help of information from Miss Versica's network to increase our success in this attack" said Nata, who is still trying to convince Lucia.

Lucia herself just nodded silently. His gaze still looked a little worried.

While arriving at the Trava Mining, Aksa immediately went around checking the area.

And then had a meeting with Helen, Evora, and Go to discuss about the next plan.

"So they've sent troops to get here? Well, gercep once they," said Aksa after hearing a report from Helen that the Augra troops were on their way to the place.

"It's likely that they'll arrive in front of the castle gate later tonight." Evora added.

"But they can't just attack right away, can they? Given their journey to this place," said Aksa ascertained his estimate.

"Maybe they'll start the attack tomorrow morning." Evora also has the same estimate.

"Hm. but we need to do it at night to make it feel more comfortable." Aksa seemed to start talking to himself.

"What are your plans, Mr Aksa?" Helen asked.

"The show?" Helen seemed to not understand the meaning of Aksa's words.

"Scaring?" Evora also seemed to not understand.

"Yes, I'll explain when it starts. Now we will make a schedule for the redevelopment of some parts of this fort," said Aksa later. "And also started mining it" he added, this time aimed at Go.

"It looks like our equipment was not previously used by their miners. Maybe because they don't understand how to use it. But fortunately almost entirely still in good condition and we can immediately use. So mining can start immediately whenever we want," said Go at length explained the assessment of the results of the examination that he just did.

"Miss Elaine is indeed a mainstay," Aksa praised sincerely.

"I told you, don't call me by my first name when you're at a meeting like this." Go looks upset with Aksa's behavior.

"Why really? Your name is pretty. What's wrong with that name?" Aksa responded to Go's annoyance casually. "All right?" he asked Helen and Evora.

While Helen and Evora are seen trying to avoid the gaze as well as the question Aksa.

"Forgot it." Go looks lazy to continue his conversation with Aksa. "Then what about the Augra miners who are being locked up?" the question then changed the subject.

"Are we going to hire them?" Helen asked.

"I think they hire them" Go said. "Because the way of mining they use is still an old-fashioned way. I'm afraid that it will slow down the work of our miners" he added.

"Well, you're really nervous, Miss Elaine. I like that" said Aksa with a fluffy smile. "And it doesn't. We will not use them as workers. We'll use them as a rumour-spreading tool" he explained later.

"Rumor spreader?"

"really. After all the shows they'll see later, we'll let them go. And let the myth form from the speech that continues to spread in the territory of the kingdom of Augra there," explained Aksa who looks starting to get excited with his own shadow.

"I'm sorry, but I still can't understand your way of thinking." Go said honestly.

"I am indeed an abstract and mysterious person, Miss Elaine," replied Aksa who looked proud as if Go's remark was a compliment. "Oh, and also don't forget to turn off and store the Augra's anti-teleportation Magic Formation equipment installed in this fortress, after their miners all come out," he said again reminded Helen. "Lumayan right, we got free magic stuff."

After that Aksa started to make preparations for his show. Assisted by the workers, Yllgarian warriors, and also the Hunter Trio.

"So what are these bullet-shaped prints for, Mr Aksa?" Loujze asked as he helped Aksa unravel the equipment from inside the wooden crate.

"To print ice bullets," Aksa replied in passing.

"Ice bullet? What kind of ice magic do witches use to attack it?"

"More or less. We need it to face the Augra warrior later," replied Aksa who appeared to be walking staggeringly as dozens of metal sticks in his arms.

"Why do we need to print ice bullets? Wouldn't it be more practical if the witches took it out right away during the fight?" It was seen Loujze taking out some metal sticks from Aksa's embrace.

"Because we're gonna use those bullets with guns." Aksa answered.

"Fixed with ice bullets? Is that also part of the show you'll be doing later?" Loujze asked again.

"And all these legged lights are also part of the show?" Deuxter added before Aksa could answer.

"really. We're gonna make a legend with all this."
