The Great War of Rhodesia

The Great War of Rhodesia
08. Knight of Light

In the evening, the Augras began to set up their simple camp in front of the fort, which was two arrows shot from the gate. Commonly used safe distance at each Siege.

"According to reports, they numbered 125. It consisted of 80 warriors, 25 magicians, and 20 archers. They also only brought Ram's train to break down the gate. There was no stone-throwing tower in sight" Evora reported as she and Aksa and Helen were on top of the fort walls to monitor the situation outside.

"The ideal amount for a siege of a fortress of this size" Aksa said, lowering his binoculars.

From the top of the fort walls the activities at the camp of the Augra troops can be monitored quite clearly. Besides because the distance is not too far, also because the half-full moonlight makes the region look quite bright.

The Augra troops are seen starting to install a wooden barrier fence in the middle of the road not far from the gate of the fort. And also started assembling Ram's train.

"They're definitely planning to carry out an attack in the early hours of the day." This time it was Helen who spoke.

"Yes, but unfortunately we are not good people who will wait and let them rest first." Aksa was seen shaking little staring at the camp that had just been built.

"So you want to do it now?" Helen asked to be sure.

"really. Because tonight the moon is not perfect" Aksa answered for reasons not understood by Helen. "Make everyone prepare for their positions, Miss Helen. Now is the time for this Isekai hero to act" he added with a smile that looked like a grin, before then walking into the fortress.

Aksa's watch is seen showing at 9pm when he started to turn on the Speaker which was installed 4 pieces in front of the gate of the fort. Only a short time after the Augra troops finished building the tent.

There was a loud buzzing sound as the Loudspeaker was lit. That clearly shocked the Augra soldiers and made them rush to put their combat equipment back on and move closer towards the gate in a position ready to attack.

"What was that noise?" asked a Seithr man with hair along his back who appeared to be wearing an Augra Kingdom Witch uniform.

"Eitherway? But the voice came from above the gate of the fortress," replied the Narva man who was seen wearing the armour of a noble knight with a sky-blue complexion in some places, the hallmark of the knights of the Kingdom of Augra.

And yet the conversation had continued, it suddenly sounded again, which this time was the sound of someone roaring from the direction of the fortress.

"O the soldiers of the Augra. This place has already returned to its rightful owner, the Kingdom of Rhodsodia." Aksa's voice sounded shocking to the Augra soldiers.

"Did he say Rhapsodia?" Seithr's man sounded incredulous.

"Yes, but how is it possible?" The spirit Narva man also looked doubtful.

"And therefore, I will be kind enough to ask you to leave right now from this place. And never come back here again, unless you want to feel the anger of the Protective God of Rhapsodia," Aksa added in a voice made as threatening as possible.

It was seen that the knight Narva had stepped closer to the fortress. "Who exactly are you? And what does this place mean to belong to Rhapsodia?" then shouted.

"I am the reincarnation of the Knight of Light who will establish order above this Elder Land," Aksa replied along with the appearance of light above the gate of the fortress just like that.

Which obviously made the soldiers of the Augra again surprised and looked more alert.

It is seen among the actual light coming from the lamp installed at the top of the gate of the fort, which is, aksa's figure stands firmly in front of a sword that sticks down with the pose of both hands resting on the top of the handle of the sword. Wearing full armor in bright white, with green accents in some parts, which makes him look like a noble knight.

Seeing the opportunity, some of the Archer Augra soldiers began to move closer and prepared to aim at Aksa.

But at about the same time, there were several lights that were no bigger than the circumference of the tent pegs, appearing just like that from the dark part around where Aksa was standing. The beam of light was directed towards every Archer seen in front of the gate of the fort.

The strange thing made the Archers stop shooting and observe what light was shining towards their bodies. Until then with the sound of the roaring wind, and the Archers who had been marked by the beam of light began to fall one by one.

The strange incident caused a sudden panic in the Augra forces. They hurriedly set up a defensive formation with the masked soldiers moving forward followed by the magicians with Protective Magic preparing behind them.

Now the beam of light began to lead to shields and magic protectors that began to appear on the front side of the Augra troops. While the sound of wind still continues to be heard.

"What attack is this? Is that all an arrow? Or the iron bullets from the Rhapsodia Firearms?" ask the knight Narva who has taken refuge behind his partner's magic.

"The arrow did not leave a sound like shards of stone when it hit the shield, General," said another knight who was in front of the man Narva called the General. "And I also don't see anything scattered on the ground, if indeed they use a bullet" he added.

"Did you see something hit your Protector, Cart?" ask the General this time to Seithr's man who was standing with Protective Magic before him.

"I can't see it clearly. But all I know is that the Rhapsodia Firearms will make a loud enough explosive sound when firing bullets" said the man Seithr called Cart.

"So what is all this magic?" ask the knight in front of the general.

"I'm not sure either. Now this Soul Stream in this place feels very..." Cart searches to find the right word to say.

"Very what, Cart?" This time the general asked. Seems impatient.

"Very crowded? I don't know if I can't explain it. Like so many Magicians who were using magic simultaneously," Cart replied as the sound of wind whirring stopped.

"You guys warned me. That was my Light magic. And don't feel that the metal shield and the protective magic can cover you from this Holy Magic" Aksa said, raising her right hand into the air.

And immediately there appeared more light beams at every corner of the cliff that surrounded the place. And everything led to where the Augra soldiers were.

Not yet had the soldiers digest the situation that was happening, Aksa was seen directing his hands forward. And dozens of whistling winds were again heard in every corner of those hills.

The panic grew as the area they now had to protect grew wider. The light appeared from almost every direction around them.

"Dameng Squad, docked!" the general's orders with a long cry.

And although after much effort they managed to secure protection, not a few soldiers fell down because of the strange magic.

Most were Archers and Magicians who did not use body armor as complete as the Warriors.

On average they are injured in vital parts, such as the head, neck, and also the stomach. And strangely enough, the injuries left no trace of bullets at all.
