12. Ignus Fort

In the morning, the long-closed southern gate finally opened. Along with that came hundreds of soldiers and also iron chariots. They marched towards the Ignus region to the south.

Lucia took part in the group heading to the battlefield. While Nata and Aksa remain in the territory of Rhodesodia because they have to take care of several things.

But without them now, this is no big deal. Because with the Radio Communication network, they can monitor and discuss each other wherever they are.

After almost half an hour of walking, finally seen also the walls of the fort of Varun City which was only built two years ago. Standing quite firmly in an area contoured with solid hills.

Although high and looks tough, but what attracts attention from the wall is a metal plate that is installed lined up to coat almost all parts of the wall. It looks shiny in the morning sun.

Caspian, Jean, and Lucia were seen talking from their horses as the army stopped at a safe position not far from Ignus' fortress.

"What is all Dracz metal?" asked Jean who looked a little impressed when she saw the amount of metal attached.

"really. It seemed like they were working hard to build the fortress wall," Caspian replied narrowing his eyes at the metal wall, as he shook his hands over his forehead to protect his gaze from the sunlight.

"And ironically of all the buildings in the southern region, only the walls of the fort are worth destroying" Lucia added.

"Unfortunately, all their efforts will be in vain" replied Jean, who seemed to be regretting it.

"Alright, Cas. Let's start," said Lucia who began to position her body on the saddle of the horse. "For Mateus' uncle. We will restore the glory of the region and the surname of Ignus in this southern land" he added.

That was later countered with deep nods from Caspian and Jean simultaneously.

"Do it, Cas," continued Lucia giving orders to Caspian.

"Ready, Your Majesty." Caspian looks back nodding before then shouting backwards. "Prepare Cannon!"

"Prepare Cannon!" A soldier followed Caspian's words to ensure that the order reached the soldier in charge.

And before long one of the new type of Combat Train was seen moving forward. The barrel of the gun attached to the top of the train began to move as if it was measuring position and distance.

"This is the first time we've used a cannon with magic bullets in a real battlefield" said the soldier in charge of driving the Combat Train.

"True, this weapon will be the face of the attack this time," replied another soldier sitting next to the steering chair.

"I think we still have an Air Ship that will make the opponent more daunted" chirped another soldier in the back room in the Combat Train.

"Yes, I think you're right too." The soldier sitting next to the steering wheel responded.

"The bullet is ready to be shot" exclaimed a soldier from the Cannon control.

"The Gunmen are ready to be fired, Miss Parpera," said the leader of the Combat Train unit, reporting to the Witch of the Moon who had appeared to be preparing outside the Train.

And just answering with a nod of his head, Papera began to cast her magic. Three large and attention-grabbing magic circles appeared layered at the end of the Cannon barrel.

The bright yellow ones are strengthening magic, while the dark blue ones are lightning magic, and the last one is dark red is fire magic.

"We'll see if these bullets can penetrate the Dracz metal they've installed?" said the warrior in the Combat Train while Parpera was perfecting her magic circle.

"I'm sure with full confidence, this magic bullet will destroy the Dracz metal and the walls of the fortress with just one shot," replied the Kerta Combat driver's soldier later.

"This will be the opening of a war that will be remembered in history" Jean said later.

"Your Majesty." Caspian awaits orders from Lucia.

"Foot!" Lucia gave the order.

"Foot!" The order was passed by Caspian to the soldier.

"Foot!" exclaim the soldier continued the order to the Cannon controlling soldier.

And everyone who was near the Combat Train immediately closed their ears in anticipation of the sound of an explosion that would sound quite loud when the bullet was fired.

Moments earlier, over the fortress of Ignus.

"Rhapsodia's army is really marching towards here." A guard soldier in the clothing marked White Elephant Fighter Union, was seen sharpening his gaze towards the hundreds of soldiers who were marching towards the place.

"It turns out to be Dux Vistralle's conjecture" said a knight in full armour who stood next to the guard soldier. "Everyone is prepared and alert. We never know what stratagem the kingdom will use to attack us this time" he said, giving orders to his men.

"Ready, General." And immediately additional soldiers moved forward towards the outskirts of the fort walls while preparing arrows and Firearms loot from 5 years ago.

"Message Sender to inform Dux Vistralle of this," the knight-general called to one of the soldiers under the fortress wall.

"Okay, General."

"General, it looks like they're about to make an attack." The guard soldier reported.

"What's their new Iron Car?" The general narrowed his eyes as he stared at the Iron Train which was slowly advancing forward. "But what's the point of the bullet from the Firearms in front of the Dracz metal?" he said then he didn't seem worried.

"Looks like it's no ordinary weapon, General. See a witch cast magic on the muzzle."

"Are they going to do the Firearms bullet fusion with magic like I've heard the rumors?" The general looked like he was weighing something.

"General, it looks like they're ready to fire." The guard soldier spoke again, as an extremely loud short whistling sound rang out, and a second later an explosion blew his body away.

The bullet from the Combat Train slid very quickly after passing three magic circles belonging to Parpera. And in a matter of seconds the fort walls that were as far as thirty-long horse carriages were destroyed with the sound of an explosion that roared the dasyat.

Neither the Rhapsodians nor the Vistralleites, who were far from the walls of the fortress, seemed to believe what they were seeing.

But in contrast to the rival soldiers who looked terrified after seeing the spectacular destruction of Ignus's fortress walls, the soldiers of Rhodesia responded with cheers of joy. And this makes their mental spirit also increased.

And as the dust around the fort walls began to dissipate, even a quite terrifying sight was seen. A huge gaping hole in the left part of its wall, which was filled with dozens of guard soldiers' bodies, pools of blood, as well as parts of limbs scattered among the rubble.

Lucia seemed to wrinkle her forehead when she saw the sight. But soon the woman again put her serious face on, before then shouting. "Rhapsodia, Forward!"
