The Great War of Rhodesia

The Great War of Rhodesia
02. Night Conversation VI

"I think we need to make a change to the shape of the Airship, Aks," said Nata who appeared to be lying on sofas at the end of the room in their tent.

There was only Aksa, Nata, and Lily in the tent. And they seemed to be relaxing waiting for Rafa and Luque to return from the Reservoir Village.

"Yes-yes, I know the design is not practical to use to fly at a certain speed and height" said Aksa from across the room. He was rubbing his gunblade with a cloth. While next to her was a busy Lily in front of the Laptop, looking at some of the pictures that had just been taken by her using a Drone.

"That's not what I meant. But yes, what you said is true. You're the only one who forces to use fantasy designs like that" Nata replied later.

"But it looks cool, right? The romance from her fantasy adventure feels like a once, right?" aksa replied as she stared at the roof of the tent as if she was imagining an adventure.

Nata looked back at Aksa and looked at her best friend sarcastically without words.

"Yes-yes, well I will change the design," said Aksa who again rubbed Gunblade in his hands. "I'll add the Airship with room heater and magic formation for automatic protection from wind exposure" he said later.

"You're still." Nata closed his eyes again.

"Yes-yes. Then what do you want me to turn it into? A traincar? Or a gondola train?" aksa asked in a lazy tone without looking at Nata. "Oh, I know. We make Victorian Steam Punk style only," he said then looks excited again.

"No. Make it like a bird" Nata said later.

"Attent. Did I not hear wrong?" Aksa turned quickly towards her best friend. As if he could not believe what he had just heard. "Do you want me to make that Airship like an ornamental vehicle for the Independence Carnival parade?"

"It's not. It doesn't have to be like a real bird. But quite like a bird," replied Nata who still looks closed his eyes.

"Are you drunk, now? Your words make no sense, Nat," said Aksa,

Nata breathed a deep breath, then lifted his body into a sitting position. "So what I mean is, I want to make that Airship into some kind of divine object, Myth, Legend, just like that," he explained later.

"You mean?" Aksa turned her head to look at Nata with a confused face.

"Because the ship is new in this world, then I want to make it a mental symbol, both to raise the spirit of the warrior of this kingdom, he said, also to make other kingdoms rethink when they want to attack us." Nata who was already in a cross-legged position again explained.

"Are you going to spread some kind of rumor about the Airship being a Messenger or just as dangerous, as you did to Lugwin?"

"really. I want to build a rumor that this kingdom has that legendary bird of light." Nata answered.

"You mean Bherunda?" Lily who had just listened, suddenly asked.

"Right," answered Nata briefly.

While Lily looks a small nod like she is judging Nata's idea in silence.

"Hm. Interesting too, anyway. That means we have to add wings and lots of lights. That way, the one who sees it from below will think it's a bird and not a ship hanging from a balloon." It seems Aksa started talking to herself.

"Yes, like that. Can you make it?" ask Nata later.

"But this cosplay model isn't for all Airships, is it?"Aksa asked back to make sure.

"No. One is enough."

"Do you know what the legendary Mystical Bird looks like, Lily?" This time I asked Lily.

Lily nodded small. "It looks like the Wise Men have scrolls about the mythical beasts of legend. Usually also equipped with images of the animal figure," said the rabbit girl later.

"Well, I didn't know The Yllgarian Wisemen had books I hadn't read." It seems Aksa is more interested in the scrolls that he has never read before. "Can I borrow it to read?" the question looked like a plea.

"So how, Aks?" Nata made sure.

"alright. Give me three days" Aksa replied with a smile that looked more like a grin.

.

"Then, what about the Transmitter Antenna? Have you prepared it, Aks?" This time Nata asked after making sure the water in the iron teapot in the furnace was already boiling.

"It's been tested, and just wait for Mr. Matyas to finish the rest. Perhaps in these 2 weeks," replied Aksa who was observing her Gunblade from all directions with a look of admiration and pride.

"Then the Generator Scrambler?" Nata picked up the can from the wooden shelf next to the fireplace.

"I've made two types of hardeners. One with a vertical wind turbine, so that the propeller is not too obvious from a distance. And secondly with a vertical water turbine, also so that no one sees the propeller from a distance," replied Aksa who had not turned his gaze in amazement from the weapon in his hand. "Only for the vertical water turbine it takes time to install it, because it has to do sodetan on the river," he added later.

"Then, for the sound of the generator?" This time Nata had started to put some gauze bags into the iron teapot earlier.

"I've fitted the damper like you asked. The wooden box is overlaid with a mixture of paper and cotton on the inside" Aksa replied. "But it may still sound buzzing within 1 or 2 meters."

"No problem. Our plan would be to make it a kind of relay antenna and place it in high places away from the crowds and hard to reach for both people and animals," said Nata while putting the iron teapot and 3 glasses on the table in front of Aksa and Lily sat down.

"But even though the transmitters have been made strong enough outside protection, you still have to build a shelter again to minimize damage. What else is the weather," Aksa reminded.

"Yes, I had thought of bringing some handymen with me when installing the Antennas," Nata replied as he began pouring drinks from the iron pot into the glasses.

"Hm, then how long do you expect to complete the installation of all the Antennas? 18 Antennas, right?" Aksa received the glass Nata offered her.

"My office, about 2 days for each antenna installation." This time Nata offers Lily a glass. Accepted with thanks.

"You also have to calculate the installation of the Generator and its propulsion tool, Nat," said Aksa before then sipping a drink in his glass.

"Yes that means just think of it as 2 days too, so a total of about 4 days of work," replied Nata who was now back sitting on the sofas with drinking glasses in hand.

"That means finished in 2 and a half months? Are you sure that as long as no one will accidentally see our Airship?"

"Yes, the only way to get things done quickly is to do it in parallel. So to the extreme we can finish it in 4 days." Nata answered.

"But that means you need a lot of workers."

"really. And the other risk is, there are people who will be suspicious if they see there are several people in several places simultaneously," Nata replied again while blowing a small nose on the surface of the drink. "But it's a risk we have to take."

"And that's also when we have some of those people." Aksa again raised his weapon under the light of the lamp, so that it could be seen more clearly.

"Just take it for 1 Antenna, we need 4 workers, 2 magicians, 4 craftsmen, and 8 soldiers to stand guard and protect the workers." Nata began to try to explain his estimate. "So if we can do it in 2 stages, which means 9 Antennas per stage. That means we only need 36 workers, 36 craftsmen, 18 magicians, and 72 warriors" he continued. "I think we can still work on that amount."

"But it will add time to work," said Aksa later.

"I think 1 week is still quite fast, it is." Nata sipped his drink again.

"Yes, I think you're right" replied Aksa who finally put his gun into the container and put it on a wooden shelf behind where he sat.
