The Great War of Rhodesia
09. Legendary Bird

It was seen that Aksa again raised his hands up, and the lights surrounding the Augra troops disappeared one by one.

The Light Magic that Aksa suddenly possessed was actually a series of several deceptions.

The spotlight came from the flashlight mounted on the air rifle, which was used by the Yllgarian Tigers Beetle troops from their hideout on the cliffs around the place.

Using the advantages of their dark fur color, Yllgarian's existence was not realized by the Augra forces. They blend perfectly in the darkness of the shadows.

As for magic bullets that do not leave a trace because they are made from water frozen by witches. Which does not take long to melt after nesting in the body.

And that was also the reason why the Soul Stream around the place felt quite claustrophobic. Because the witches keep using their magic to make those bullets.

.

"This is your second chance. Escape you while you still have time!" exclaim Aksa later.

And slowly the light above the gate began to dim, and along with that the armour that Aksa was wearing began to look as if it was shining with a bluish-white luminescence when it was exposed to Ultraviolet light that was installed just below where it stood. The green stripe on his armor also looks brightly lit which shows a bird motif on his chest.

As for the Augra troops who were not familiar with Fluorescence and Phosphor, would see it like the strengthening magic commonly used by knights on their armor.

"Is he casting another magic?" ask the general of the Augra army to Cart the witch Seithr.

"I can't feel the man's Soul Flow" replied Cart who looked puzzled by what was going on.

"This is our chance, General. Let's get the hell out of here before it's too late." The knight standing in front of the General gave a suggestion in a voice trembling with fear.

"Don't fool. They could have been bluffing" replied the general. "Witches, be on your guard" he added.

.

"You all warned me. Do not blame me if your lives are lost" said Aksa who then pulled the sword in front of him and pulled it up. The blade of the sword was glowing reddish yellow.

"Champions from beyond the rift, heed my call. The time has come to deliver your brethren from darkness. My heart's soul desire is a world free from sorrow. Join me in hope and pray for the salvation of all." The rant of Aksa was accompanied by a strange voice from above the sky, which sounded like the cries of several overlapping animals that made the fur of the lumps creep.

Then followed by a sound like a crack of a loud and repetitive twig plus lightning that struck quickly behind the clouds.

"Flee all of you from the wrath of Delay!" yelled Aksa who then saw a dazzling light from behind the clouds, which showed the faint silhouette of a giant bird.

"What-what's that?" shouted one of the Augra soldiers as he looked at the shadow of the large bird behind the cloud.

"Light Birds? Is it really the Legendary Delaying Bird?" the other soldiers who were seen started to panic.

"Everything is calm, don't panic!" shouted the General gave the order.

But without any prior warning, suddenly a pillar of light burst down from behind the clouds and destroyed the encampment tent of the Augra army.

And at that moment also both the General and the soldiers of the Augra realized that Aksa's speech was not just a bluff. It leads them to the only option they have, which is to escape if they do not want to die in that place.

While the pillar of light was still seen shooting to various places, the sound of the beast squealing and also the lightning flash above the clouds continued to move forward in the direction of the escape of the Augra forces. This made the soldiers no longer care about anything other than running away as fast as possible from the place.

And in the midst of panic, the Elite Army used the opportunity to attack the Augra soldiers by shooting them with metal bullets from their hiding places.

.

"Truly a great show," praised Huebert who sat a little further in front of some switches where the legless lights around the place were controlled.

"Thank you" Aksa replied with a smile.

"How do you make that lightning and that terrible sound, Lord Aksa?" This time it was Loujze who asked from next to Deuxter.

Indeed during the show the Hunter Trio was with Aksa to help him with the equipment as well as forwarding orders and directions to the others.

"How about, convince, right?" Aksa trudged along in the armour she was wearing.

"really. I still have goosebumps hearing the screech earlier, even though I already knew it was an Air Ship. What was that sound?" tanya Loujze who looks to help bring the sword that Aksa calls Phosphorous Sword.

"It was the sound of yelling several Yllgarians simultaneously," Aksa replied later.

"Yllgarian?"

"really. Because according to the note I read about the Delaying bird, it screamed like dozens of bird squeals. Yeah, so I just asked a couple of Yllgarian Owls to yell at the same time in front of the microphone that was directly connected to the Sound Amplifier installed on that Airship," obviously Aksa leaned against the wall of the fortress to rest his tired shoulders because of the weight of his armor.

"The screams of the Strigi Clan can sound like that?" This time Huebert asked to be sure. Because he who has lived long enough in the Sekai Forest and knows the Yllgarians was seen not recognizing the sound of the screech earlier.

"Yes, in order to disguise it from being recognized, as well as to make it sound even more terrifying, I also asked several Yllgarian Bats and Tigers to join in shouting at the same time. So the result was like that. Screams, shouts, and howls were mixed," Aksa added, confirming Huebert's doubts.

"Oh, I deserve not to be able to recognize what the animal's voice was," said Huebert who began to look back confident.

"Then that lightning bolt earlier? Didn't we only bring Earth, Ice, and Fire Witches when we came here." Loujze continued his question.

"Yes, the lightning was created by Tesla Coil." Aksa answered briefly.

"Oh, the metal pole that was mounted on the bow of the ship?" Loujze.

"really. And before you ask 'how can?' Then I'll explain it to you guys." Aksa looks again put on an enthusiastic face every time he wants to explain how a tool works.

"So simply the coil gets its power from an electric generator. And when the top coil is already holding enough electric power, that power will jump out of the bracelets at the top of its pole to look for ground. Alias came down to the ground," explained the young man who was seen starting to sweat from the rage with the armor he was wearing.

"So in other words, you're making lightning magic out of an electric current?" Deuxter tried to draw a conclusion.

"And in the big one?" sahut Huebert added.

"Not really, anyway. The lightning strike cannot be controlled. That energy will find the fastest way to get to the ground" Aksa replied. "That's why I installed the Tesla Coil at the very end of the deck, and asked people not to stand around it when it was turned on" explained the young man later. "The strike is equivalent to a natural lightning strike. It's just that this one's longer because it gets continuous energy from the generator."

"It's dangerous." Deuxter seemed worried about his own shadow.

"Yes, usually the tool is made small and mounted glass tube on the top. Besides being safe, also to look beautiful when the lightning strikes," replied Aksa who could not be followed by others. "Later I'll make it. His name was Plasma Ball" he added, which was then cut by Helen's screams from a distance.

"Mr Aksa."

"Oh, it seems like the call for my last assignment has arrived" Aksa said later. "I'll excuse you, gentlemen," he said as he walked uncomfortably towards Helen.
