RECONCILED

With mixed feelings, Valerie pulled away from the chair. He leaves but Theo's secretary, who is behind them, prevents Valerie's actions.

"Miss, listen to your explanation first" he asked.

"Uncle, I don't understand."

"Valerie, my granddaughter." Theo caught up with Valerie and held her grandson's hand gently.

"Grandfather knows you're disappointed. Forgive Grandpa. But, the only punishment a man deserves to give up is to let him be happy and bear treasure, and then when you are ready, you can take back all your rights. It is at that moment that the human world collapses and will lose its life in misery. You understand what Grandpa means, right?" obviously Theo.

The blazing flames within Valerie slowly subsided. Valerie should have understood that if her grandfather was the kindest and wisest man, she would have had a clever plan instead of putting the perpetrator in prison.

"I'm sorry, Grandpa" Valerie said softly.

"Sorry to keep all this a secret. Grandpa understands how angry you feel, but now you're all grown up and you understand. That's why Grandpa waited until you were ready, so you could think before you acted."

Valerie smiled slightly and hugged Theo. He almost misunderstood and misjudged.

The woman apologized before separating. They do not have much time together, because many pairs of eyes will be suspicious if they find out a founder of a large company meets a young woman.

After meeting with her grandfather, Valerie returns to her boarding house. He looked up and sat restlessly in his room.

Valerie felt angry and upset, due to the fact that the accident that befell her and her parents was not an ordinary accident. But he can't do anything, revenge won't bring his parents back to life.

Valerie thought, maybe what her grandfather said was the truth. He had to reply in an ingenious and elegant manner. The murderer had taken two lives and his life for the sake of property and office. Then the best way to punish him is to rob him of all that greed.

Valerie feels uneasy if she has to deal with strangers, especially with men like Brian.

When standing in front of the office building, there is an advertisement that is being aired on the wall of the magnificent building.

Brian's charming handsome face was highlighted as the CEO of the company, making Valerie swallow.

"Lumayan too," thought Valerie. He smiled thinly, Brian's handsome face was so charming, unfortunately the man's attitude made Valerie upset to lose her taste.

When entering the office building, it is seen then the tares of people who are busy working while carrying a tote bag and documents in their arms.

Valerie took a look, and then a security man came to see her with the intention of asking what Valerie was doing at work like this.

"Ah, I'm about to meet Brian Carlos. He told me to come" Valerie said.

"Mr Brian?" Security reaffirmed to ensure that the woman was looking for was the head of the company.

"Yes, Brian Carlos. Her face was plastered in an ad above the building" Valerie explained.

"May I know your name, Miss?"

"Valerie, tell me if I want to see you this morning."

The security nodded in understanding, then went to the receptionist to ask Brian for his willingness to meet Valerie.
