Elena felt her head throbbing in pain, suddenly her body felt limp. The woman walked with slightly shaky footsteps towards the table where the drinks were neatly arranged. To relieve her discomfort, Elena gulped down a glass of drink and regulated her breathing.

From a distance, Valerie noticed Elena. Valerie was convinced that Elena must have realized something about her. Seen from the woman's shock as well as her reaction, Elena must have remembered something about them.

"What's wrong?" ask Brian.

"It's okay." Valerie smiled looking at the man.

"You don't mind being here? I don't want my parents to hurt you, so we should stay away from them as much as possible" Brian explained.

"Valerie, listen to me." Brian grabbed Valerie's two hands and kissed the back of her hand affectionately. "I know that by bringing you here, I've dragged you into my family's troubles. But I want everyone to know that you're all I want. I would never marry another woman, not even Elena," she said.

"I didn't mean to embarrass my family. I just want them to understand how I feel."

Valerie fell silent, she understood the concern of the man before her. Valerie understands how the man tries to keep his love but without hurting his parents.

"We're going to have a relationship without blessing?" ask Valerie.

"If you have to, it's not a problem for me."

As the two were talking seriously, Damian suddenly came with his wife. Valerie's step-uncle approaches Brian and Valerie unexpectedly.

"You know what you're doing is embarrassing for your family, Brian!" reprimand Damian frankly.

"I'm just trying to defend my choice. There is not the slightest intention of me to make both parents just shy. But, I still can't get engaged to your daughter" explained Brian.

Damian looked very furious. His anger seemed to have peaked in the crown, but in order to maintain his honor, he could not do much.

"You will truly regret having rejected our daughter. You think women deserve to compete with my daughter? No, you've made a mistake!" exciting Damian.

"It's about our feelings, no one has the right to interfere. And one more thing, don't ever lower my choices and compare them to your daughter!" brian tried to calm down.

Next to Brian, Valerie tightly grasped the man's hand. Valerie does not want a commotion, especially Brian is always easily ignited emotions whenever someone humbles him.

Damian can't do anything. He could only look at Brian and Valerie alternately with gazes full of anger and hatred. While the wife, from the beginning just pay attention to Valerie carefully.
