"I'm not only persistent in terms of work, now I also have to be persistent to get you. Until I get!" exclaim Brian.

"It seems you have to be patient."

Brian would not impose his will. He knew that all this felt really fast for Valerie. Moreover, the woman still needs to adapt to her monotonous life with a myriad of jobs.

After teasing each other, the two finally enjoyed all the food on the table.

"Outside there is still heavy rain and strong winds. Do you want to rest? I'll have someone bring you a change of clothes" Brian said after they finished eating.

"All right." Valerie agrees. What else can they do when the weather is suddenly unfriendly.

Time passed quickly as they decided to watch a television show in order to ward off boredom. The weather outside did not improve. Brain felt guilty for bringing Valerie to visit without seeing the weather forecast first.

It's late afternoon and night is coming soon. Although they will return home in the car, but Brian does not want to take the risk of driving when it rains and strong winds like this.

"The rain hasn't stopped yet, do you mind if we stay here last night?" bargain Brian. He doubted, but he had to put their safety first.

Valerie seemed to think for a moment. He watched the clock hanging on the wall, then turned his gaze to the large glass window that showed the view of the rain outside the villa.

"All right." Valerie had to agree. He has no other choice.

"I'm sorry to take you to this place until we're stuck like this" Brian said.

"No need to apologize, I love this place."

"Thank God." Brian smiled happily, he grabbed Valerie by the shoulder and refocused on the television screen.

"But where am I going to sleep? We won't ...." Valerie did not continue her sentence.

"I don't mind if you're willing to sleep in one room with me" Brian said.

"Hey!" Valerie pinched the man's waist.

"No, no. There are three rooms in this villa. You can sleep wherever you want."

After a while, Valerie's phone rang loudly. The caller was Max. But when Brian finds out, Brian forbids Valerie from receiving the call.

"Why?" valerie didn't understand.

"Max must have asked where I was. By answering the phone from him, he can track where we are easily" Brian explained.

"What's really going on? Why should we ...."

"I'm sorry, Valerie." Brian grabbed Valerie's hands and looked her in the eyes. "Can we just enjoy this day? Without thinking of any other problems."

"Explain to me, what's going on?" ask Valerie. He really doesn't understand.

"I'll leave the company and hand back power to Papa if my parents keep forcing me to marry Elena. I won't marry any woman, I just want to marry you!" bright Brian.

"Should you do it?"

"I knew it was a very fatal decision, I worked hard to build the company, and I just left it. But, I want my parents to understand, that I also have a more important desire than office."

Valerie speechless. Is that how much Brian sacrificed for her?

"Valerie, don't worry. I have a lot of personal assets and I can build my own little company. Don't you mind if I'm not the president director you saw before?"

"That's not a problem at all, but your parents?"

"I don't mean to hurt them or to be an ungodly child. I just want them to understand that my desire to be with you is stronger than their ego. Can't they just give up on me, just once?"

Valerie took a long breath. He hugged Brian, hugged the man tightly.

Now Valerie understands that what looks is not necessarily the same as what happens. Brian is a handsome guy and has everything. He is the sole heir, his name is recorded as a successful and rich young entrepreneur.

But behind all that, Brian is a lonely man. He spent his entire life under pressure from his parents. Their selfishness, made Brian completely restrained.

"I'm sure one day they'll understand" whispered Valerie.
