Theo realizes that something has happened to Noah and Valerie, because all this time Theo has always been watching Valerie's every move including those close to him to ensure the safety of the grandson.

"You can talk together first, Grandpa wants to see the chief investigator" Theo said. He understood there was something Noah wanted to talk to his granddaughter about.

After Theo's departure, Noah invites Valerie to sit next to the police station. There is a small garden with an elongated bench as a shelter.

"So, you and Brian got engaged?" ask Noah.

"Do you know?"

"Yes, the news about you has spread everywhere. So, it's true my guess apparently," said Noah.

"I'm sorry, Noah."

"No, Valerie. I'm doing fine. You know Brian is superior in every way to me, I understand why you chose him."

"It's not about who is superior or who is better. It's purely because of my feelings, Noah. Don't ever think that I'm with Brian because he has something you don't have. I love her," explains Valerie.

The confession was like a lightning strike to Noah. She sees Valerie exchanging rings with Brian on social media, but it's not as painful to hear that from Valerie's own mouth.

"I understand." Noah nodded slowly. At least, Valerie got a better man than him.

"So, you're the grandson of Mr Theo Cameron who was rumored to have died decades ago?"

"Hm."

"That's very shocking news. But I'm happy, because you've gone through all this process and now your life's over so well."

"That's what friends are for." Noah smiled warmly. There is disappointment, sadness, and heartbreak. But he does not want to ruin his good relationship with Brian or Valerie just because his love claps one hand.

"Maybe I'm just out of luck" Noah said again.

"No, one day you will get a good woman, as you expect" Valerie replied.

This pretty serious heart-to-heart chat left Noah and Valerie feeling relieved. The two were finally able to continue their friendship without any mutual discomfort between the two.

After chatting, Noah invited Valerie in. There were two people Valerie had to meet this morning.

In the room of the chief investigator, Valerie saw her grandfather chatting, and Valerie sat down next to him and listened.

"We conducted interrogations on the two main suspects for almost five hours. Now, we've come to the conclusion that the mastermind behind the assassination plot is Sister Delia, none other than Brother Damian's wife."

"Auntie?" ask Valerie lirih.

"Yes, Miss. Based on the information we received from both parties, Sister Delia is envious of your parents, then he kept urging the husband to do everything possible to take over the position of your parents as the main heir."

"So, we concluded that Sister Delia was the suspect in the brain behind the premeditated murder, while the husband was the suspect in the act."

Valerie was silent, her chest was painful. It is painful to hear the harsh reality that the one who has ruined his life is his own family.

"I want them to be punished severely, sir. I want them to take responsibility for what they do under the law!" exclaim Valerie firmly.
