Brian looked at Valerie. He wanted the woman to understand, not just the words that came out of her mouth, but her sacrifice.
Looking deep into the brownish eyes of the man before her, Valerie could clearly see Brian's earnestness. The man was not playing games, falling in love made him give in to the taste.
"I love you with my heart. Look at me as an ordinary man, don't mind who I really am. Don't compare unnecessary things, I just want you, not anything else" Brian said.
"But what if ...." Valerie's words came to a halt, Brian clinging his index finger to the woman's lips.
"I just need you to love me, that's all. Then we'll go through it all together."
"I ...."
"Don't say anything right now. Think carefully," Brian said.
Valerie sighed fretfully. Brian's persistence made his heart move. But again, being with the man can certainly cause a lot of problems later on.
Brian took Valerie around the house. Brian wanted Valerie to understand that whatever he would do to get her heart.
Until ten o'clock in the afternoon, Brian and Valerie had just arrived at the office. The two go straight to the room and find Max already busy working alone.
"Hows it? Is your discussion smooth?" tease Max when she sees Valerie sitting on the couch. While Brian directly facing the laptop screen on his desk.
Valerie narrowed her eyes while looking at Max.
"Don't look at me like that, you're waiting for me!" exclaim Max.
"Hows it? Hm? Are you guys ...." Max formed his two hands with five conical fingers, then moved both hands as if two lips were kissing each other.
"Do you want me to break your wrist?" ask Valerie.
"Alright, alright. I don't want to go to the hospital anymore" Max said with a strange smile.
Valerie just sighed, apparently now Max will have an additional job, which is to tease him.
Throughout the day, Brian's room was quieter. Valerie is more silent and reluctant to talk as much as usual, even though she will usually talk a lot with Max.
Brian felt guilty for weighing on the woman's mind. However, she wants Valerie to know her feelings, as she does not want to keep the burden of this heart alone.
At four o'clock in the afternoon, Brian had finished a meeting with the company officials. The disappearance of rumors about him made the company's shares back up steadily.
Max is very happy. At the very least, there was one thing that would make Calvin feel satisfied and not over-correct Brian anymore. For Max, Brian is a brother, he always wished Brian could live happily by his choice.
After all the work was done, Brian took Valerie home.
"Valerie," said Brian softly. They are sitting in the car. Brian restrains Valerie's wrist as the woman is about to get out.
"Yes?"
"Start tomorrow, take a few days off. Enjoy your day off and I beg you, think of an answer for me."
"It's not just me, you should also rethink carefully your decision. Think about what's going to happen to your parents" Valerie replied.
"No need, I'm even sure I'll marry you, with or without their blessing!" assertive Brian.
"Married?" reset Valerie. Brian is an unromantic man, yet he is very to the point without further ado, so Valerie thought.
"It doesn't matter when you're going to give me an answer, it doesn't matter when we're getting married. Most importantly, you're the one who will be my bride."
