Outraged, Brian stood alone with a body full of pain. Max overrides his body, and the two of them hit the stairs together. Of course he who feels more pain because of being hit by two at once.
"Boss, are you okay? I'm sorry," said Max. He saw Brian walking a little limping toward his chair.
Carefully, Brian sat down in a chair and gently massaged his own shoulders and arms.
"Are you hurt?" ask Max while approaching Brian. Max himself seemed to ignore the pain and only care about Brian's safety. He examined Brian's body from head to toe for fear that the man might get hurt.
"Which part of it hurts?"
"Ah, I'm sorry."
"I'm fine" replied Brian. He took a deep breath and opened the laptop screen and refocused on what he was working on.
Seeing Brian and Max's behavior, Valerie felt amused. Do they really have a special relationship? Both of them were equally considerate and seemed abnormal.
"Let it go, I'll have people take care of it!" max said to Valerie who was cleaning the stairs.
"It's okay, I can do it."
"Don't hold back the laughter, Valerie," Max scolded in a slight whisper. He approaches Valerie and helps the woman tidy up the messy books and documents.
"I'm not laughing."
"Don't lie! Your face is clearly red. It's not funny, my body hurts so much" complained Max.
"I'm sorry. I panicked because the lizard was running around her body" Valerie explained. The incident of the falling ladder is clear because he and Brian are noisier because of one small animal.
"That's it, it's okay. Are you all right?"
"Hm."
"Thank God."
During the meeting, Valerie was in the room and just sat there listening. He noticed Brian who seemed unable to focus. Brian looked agitated and unsettled.
The meeting ended two hours later, and Valerie remained loyal alongside Brian to accompany the man. Meanwhile, Max, still has to complete a follow-up meeting that does not need to be handled directly by Brian.
"You seem unwell" Valerie said as they arrived at Brian's room.
"Are you okay?" Brian asked back. "Is your body hurt?"
"No, I was able to escape" Valerie replied. Brian was worried about her, but ignored his own pain.
Feeling uncomfortable, Brian opened the black suit attached to his body. He rolled up the right and left sleeves of the shirt and sat on the couch.
Valerie saw the man's arm was bluish red, bruised. It must be because of the incident of the stairs falling and Max who hit his body.
Without orders, Valerie asked an OB to bring a basin with warm water. He then took out a handkerchief that was always available in his tote bag.
"Your hand is bruised, it will hurt if it is left alone" Valerie said. He touched Brian's arm and compressed it slowly.
With Valerie's sweet attitude, of course Brian can not refuse. He just sat quietly while enjoying every touch given by the woman.
Without Valerie noticing, Brian watched her closely. The man's heart was pounding, he was even worried that Valerie could hear him.
Full of tenderness, Valerie rubbed the man's stocky arm. He was careful not to let Brian feel any pain. But because his attention was being distracted by Valerie's beauty, Brian seemed numb and the pain was gone somewhere.
Because of their close body position, Brian could even smell Valerie's alluring hair. The man was more fascinated, he was moved when Valerie moved up to a white shirt with buttons that almost fell off because the weight was too large it was a little open.
"I'm doing fine. I can do it myself" Brian said. He gets up and takes over Valerie's handkerchief that sticks to his arm.
It was not that Brian disliked the situation, but that he was worried about the momentary turbulent desire within him.
