Valerie wanted to shout, "Enough, enough! Don't add to the burden of my mind! Don't say anything else!" Unfortunately, he could only hear it himself. He wasn't brave enough to argue with Brian frankly.

Valerie could only take a deep breath and then exhale slowly. That was all he could do to stay sane and calm.

All the way home, Valerie just daydreamed, she was silent. Every now and then he glanced at Brian who was focused on driving, but no longer dared to stare at the man for more than three seconds.

"You're gonna keep it here? Do you still want to be with me longer?" ask Brian.

Valerie circulated her gaze, only to realize that they had entered Brian's courtyard.

Without giving an answer, Valerie opened the car door and exited. It seems that today Brian is quite draining his energy and mind until he feels very tired. Valerie glanced at Brian who followed her out of the car and walked over.

"Go home." Brian swung his chin while smiling faintly.

"Good."

"Be careful on the road, you have to focus," suggested Brian. Valerie just nodded, she walked towards the garage where her motorbike was parked.

"If anything happens to me, it's all your fault!"

Valerie has been working for Brian for almost two months. They were almost always together every day.

Despite Brian's indifference and coldness to most people, Valerie understands the man's concern for the people he considers important.

At seven in the evening, Valerie came to a five-star restaurant. Theo booked a special table with a VIP room to meet the granddaughter.

"How do you do it, my granddaughter?" ask Theo. He saw Valerie's face look crumpled and tired.

"Good, Cake. Everything's going well."

"If you're uncomfortable, you'd better stop. Uncle Sena will help you solve your problems."

Valerie shakes. He assures Theo that everything is fine and that he is happy with his new job.

"You know the gossip? About the president of the director you work for?" ask Theo.

"Hmm, that's not true. Brian is not that kind of man, he's a real man, he's normal" Valerie said.

Theo squinted, but not for long he smiled.

"Is he a good man?" ask Theo.

"That's it, Cake. He's very kind to everyone."

"Grandfather heard he's also very handsome, he's the sole heir to his family. There must be a lot of women who want to approach him."

"Either, but it's only natural that he's liked by many women. He's the perfect guy" Valerie replied.

"What about you? Did he pull your heart?" ask Theo. He realized that talking about Brian made Valerie excited. Instantly his face returned to beaming as the man's name was called.

"Grandfather! Why ask like that. I'm still not interested in romance, I'm still happy myself" Valerie replied. His face looked timid.

Theo only smiled as he shook his head slowly. As a person with a fairly old age, Theo knows the meaning of the look on his face and the answer of his grandson. He realized that what his grandson said was different from what he actually felt.

"The man named Brian will soon be betrothed" Theo said.
