Hearing Brian's words, everyone was shocked, so was Valerie.

Anger and resentment cannot be hidden by Brian's parents and Elena's parents, they seem very furious with Brian's attitude which is considered impolite.

"Brian, what do you mean? Don't be crazy!" exclaim Rossa, Mama Brian.

"Don't embarrass us!" hardik Calvin's.

"No, Ma, Pa. I told you right from the start that if I didn't want to be betrothed to anyone, I'd choose the woman I love myself" Brian replied calmly. He understands that his parents are angry, but he does not want to spend his whole life just for their pleasure.

As the oldest person, Theo tried to give understanding to Brian's parents. He himself will not force if Brian is not able to accept this matchmaking.

"Everything can be spoken of, Mr. Calvin. Maybe Brian does not know Elena, it's natural that he refused," said Theo trying to calm Calvin.

While Elena herself, could only remain silent with a dead red face. He felt humiliated, he was upset and felt unacceptable because Brian refused him outright.

"You can date several times before making a decision. It seems like it will build your relationship in order to get to know each other. Isn't that right, Elena?" the middle-aged woman beside Elena tried to act calm. It's Delia, Elena's mom.

"Of course" Elena replied.

"True, you guys should go on a date. Even if necessary, we will prepare a holiday for you abroad" Calvin said.

"No, Pa. I'm sorry, I love other women" Brian refused. He reiterated that his heart had been anchored to another woman he did not name.

"Brian!" exclaim Calvin. A hard slap landed on Brian's cheek.

Seeing that, Valerie and Max grimaced. They don't know what to do.

"Please get out of this house." Damian stood up, his patience was over. He felt Brian's family was just humiliating his daughter.

"Damian, calm yourself down" Theo said. As the oldest man, he himself was unsure in terms of matchmaking. Because everyone has the right to make a choice.

"Papa," said Elena.

Brian observed the situation getting worse. The man casually responded to every sentence that was thrown at him.

"Then I say goodbye. Excuse me," said Brian. He walked out of his chair near Max and Valerie.

Everyone in the dining room could only gawk at Brian's departure. The man was firm in his attitude and opinion in taking action. But in this case, Brian is considered disrespectful.

Brian, Max and Valerie get out of the house together. Unexpectedly, Brian's parents caught up with them.

Calvin looked very angry, while his wife could only cry to see the behavior of her child.

This marriage was planned long ago. Both families are big businessmen as well as the ranks of the richest people in the country. Their marriage will be very profitable from all sides. But for Brian, marriage is life and death with the people he loves, not life and death for profit and wealth.

"Brian, stop!" shout Calvin. He half ran after his son.

Brian turns around, asking Max to get Valerie in the car first.

"What do you want, Brian? Is this your repayment for everything we do?" ask Calvin.

"Papa, I've been telling you from the beginning. I will do anything for your happiness, I work hard to manage the company for the success of our family. Is that not enough? I beg you never to force me to marry any woman just for profit!"

"Who's that woman, Brian?" rossa asked with a stifled cry.

"Valerie, that woman's name is Valerie."
