But if you remember Noah's words, Valerie hesitated to beat Brian. The man seems to have a thousand ways to calm the trial and make it seem like a real suspect.
"Hows it? Isn't that a good offer. In addition to being free from prosecution, you also get a new job" Brian said.
"How long do I have to do it?"
"Three months. That's equivalent to the prison time you're going to go through. Wouldn't it be better to work for me than to crouch behind bars?"
"He's very cunning!" inner Valerie.
"I'm busy, think carefully." Brian closed his laptop screen, then got up from the chair and tidied up his suit.
Valerie let the man go, leaving him alone inside this spacious room while thinking.
There are many things to consider to make a decision. If he told his grandfather about the problem he was facing, it might end up easy. But unfortunately, Valerie couldn't do that. He must take responsibility and solve his own problems.
After sitting quietly in Brian's room, Valerie came out and left the office building. He came to the hospital to see Max and see the man's condition. Before arriving at the hospital, he bought fresh fruits and some types of cakes.
Arriving at the hospital, Valerie accidentally sees someone she knows very well. A middle-aged man was sitting on a chair that was in the waiting room. But Valerie could not meet him, the woman chose to send a short message.
[(Did something happen?)] valerie wrote in the message.
Although very curious, Valerie tried hard to keep her distance. He couldn't meet his grandfather's secretary anywhere. They even had to pretend to be unfamiliar when they were partying in a public place.
While waiting for a reply, Valerie got into the elevator. He was about to head to the VIP room where Max was undergoing treatment.
Arriving in front of Max's room, Valerie fell silent. He saw two men standing guard at the door. If he had no compelling reason, then they would not have let Valerie in.
After thinking for more than ten minutes, Valerie finally approached the door.
"Good day, I have to see Mr. Max" Valerie said.
"Sorry, but young master forbids foreigners from entering!" One of the guards replied fiercely.
"Foreigners?" Valerie squinting. "I'm Valerie, Mr. bodyguard candidate. Carlos. I came at his behest to see Mr Max's condition progress" he continued.
The two guards looked at each other, and one of them went into the room to ask about Max's willingness to meet Valerie.
Valerie smiled sweetly as the two bodyguards opened the door for her.
In the room, Max was seen on a soft hospital bed with a half-sitting position.
"Hi," said Valerie kindly. He approached Max and placed the item he was carrying on the table.
"You bring a lot of food, you don't have to bother" Max said. Valerie just smiled and sat down on the chair beside the bed.
"How are you doing? Is it getting better?"
"It's better."
"I'm sorry, it's all because I'm careless and reckless" Valerie said.
"No, I was wrong too. Sorry for being so bad to you. Even though I wasn't fully aware then, I shouldn't have hugged you. You must have been scared back then" Max explained. He realized that he had made a mistake too.
"Are there any serious injuries?"
"On the right side of my shoulder is still swollen and painful, the doctor said it was just a case, my muscle was injured," Max replied.
"Ah, I'm sorry." Valerie looked down lethargic. In addition to the guilt on Max, he also thought of his fate in Brian's hands.
"Don't worry, maybe in two or three days I'll be home."
"The problem is, this case is still being processed by legal channels. Besides the suspect, aren't I the victim? It causes," complains Valerie. He is happy Max is among those who casually respond to this problem, he thinks Max will be just as irritating as Brian.
"Did the boss do it? I'll talk to him. It's just a misunderstanding. I'm guilty too."
"You sure you can persuade Brian? I've spoken to him. But he instead offered the path of Peace by making me a bodyguard. Is he not sane?" valerie asked as she exhaled a rough breath.
"Who is not sane?" A person suddenly appeared behind the pink-colored curtain behind Valerie.
