What He Will Believe

Askelan approached the bed after closing the door, she switched away from the wheelchair, after staring at both of her legs in annoyance. Askelan returned to the room after Pit's departure. There Lintani was still sleeping soundly, this was natural, because she had only fallen asleep after midnight, just before Askelan's return.

“Pearly! Pearly!” muttered Lintani subconsciously, making Askelan link her brows so deeply.

In his dream, Lintani saw a little boy in his lap who was smiling sweetly as he said, “Mother! He's my dad! Do you want to see Dad? Wake up Mom, he's my dad! He's here, Mom!”

However, the boy then came down from his lap and ran away leaving him.

“Pearly! Pearly!” Call him, but, the boy keeps going until his shadow goes nowhere.

Lintani opened her eyes slowly and the first thing she saw was, her hands were held by someone. The look in his eyes continued to rise until he got Askelan, who was also looking at him with a meaningful smile.

“You're awake, Princess?” asked Askelan in a soft voice, a voice that she usually only gave when talking to Haifa, making the fur of Lintani's neck stand up.

The girl shifted her head until she could see Askelan clearly and, ignoring the strange call.

“What time is it now?”

“Almost it's time for lunch.”

“Ah!” pekik Lintani while rising straight up her back, “I'm bad luck!”

“Are you going, or have an appointment with someone or ... You got something to do?” Askelan suddenly looked so attentive and chatty, asking about many things.

“No.” Lintani. “I just want to help Auntie, last night I made a mess.” Lintani said again, remembering last night he had made the bathroom floor and clothes full of traces of his entrails.

“Stay here, do not do any activity!”

“Why?”

“I want you to keep me company!”

Lintani stared at Askelan with question marks, remembering that the doctor and the test results last night, showed she was pregnant, of unknown age.

“Are you going to believe me, if I'm pregnant with your child?” asked Lintani with a serious look on her face. In fact, in his heart he knew, that Askelan must have known.
