The Soothing Aroma

 

Askelan stared at Lintani sharply as she swiped the access ID card to the door which then opened, Lintani barged in before Askelan entered, but the man remained silent. As the girl walked past her, the air accompanying her smelled like the scent of lilies and a mixture of bricks.

“Wait!” Askelan said, making Lintani who had walked a few steps stop and turn her head.

“You haven't answered my question!”

“Which question?”

“Where are you from?”

“Do I have to report to you where did I go?”

“Yes. Unless you want the compensation you'll get, half-pay!”

Lintani frowned because he did not like if the rules they had agreed to together, then violated and that means Askelan can do as he pleased.

‘Damn it!’ inner Lintani.

“All right, I want to say, if you don't ask any further! I'm from the brick factory, are you satisfied?”

After saying so, Lintani passed to her room until Askelan found out which room the girl was sleeping in.

While the man was thinking about what Lintani had said to him, what was he going to the brick factory for?

Askelan was not sleepy until she chose to sit on the large sofa of the living room, waiting until she was completely sleepy. He won't be able to sleep as well as he normally would, since eight years ago. If it was night, especially when the room lights started to turn off, he would miss the girl very much in his arms.

That is the thing that causes it to always be nauseous when touching or adjacent to other girls because they are not the same, until feelings of unhappiness and stress appear, causing stomach turmoil and stomach acid to rise. Uh! It's so torturous.

Lintani had just finished her bath and she was back wearing the clothes she had taken from Elliyat's house. He was still not interested in opening the large wardrobe that was on the side of the bed and facing the window.

The girl sat in front of the dressing table while smashing the petals of Lily flowers that had started to dry. He liked the scent of the flower, which he picked up a few stalks as he walked around with Elliyat earlier at the Villa. Then, he spread the crumbs into his hands and feet to spread a soothing aroma. Lily flower fragrance is one of the most commonly used scents to be a fragrance ingredient for perfumes, bath soaps, cosmetic tools and also baby powder.

After that he went out of the room to see if Askelan still needed himself to massage or not because he had refused because it was impossible to get close to the man while the body and clothes were full of dust and clay.

Lintani was so surprised to see Askelan sitting leaning her head on the living room sofa in full clothes. He touched the man with his index tip around his shoulder and arm.

“Hai, Mister ..!” Lintani called out to Askelan with a voice between whispering and a low voice, similar to hiss. “Tuan Askelan .. have you slept?”  still while pricking his shoulder with the tip of his index finger.

Askelan did not move, making Lintani ventured closer to her head, while shaking her palms in front of her face to ascertain whether the man was really sleeping or not.

He finally believed that Askelan had fallen asleep until he dared to say.

“Master! Have you slept? So, I don't have to massage you, do I? I'm tired because I have to make money, but I only have 14 dollars for work for six hours.”

Lintani paused her speech, she started crying and again said in a soft hoarse voice.

“Master, if you don't force me, I already have a lot of money from my salary working at that restaurant. You're mean! You've taken my salary, but I need it to eat and buy clothes, you know! But you even accompanied me, without mercy! Where's the conscience?”

“I have a phone and wallet, all my valuables are in the restaurant locker and I did not have time to take it, the rest, I want to go check whether I am pregnant or not.”

“Do you, Sir? I have always praised you as a filial, handsome and strong boy. After I saw you, I also agreed that everything Mother Elle said was true!” Lintani covered her mouth as she held back a laugh.

Suddenly there was a loud sound from his stomach, Lintani immediately distanced her head and at the same time, Askelan's eyes opened, the man looked at Lintani who was still standing awkwardly before him.

“Are you hungry? Do not work in a place that does not feed you!” askelan said as she straightened her back, making Lintani take a step back.

The girl could not believe that Askelan could wake up just from hearing the sound of her stomach, whereas when she said the man just fell asleep not even moving at all.

‘Did she hear everything I was talking about, especially in the last part, if indeed she was just pretending to be asleep, it was outrageous! He really sucks!’ lintani's voice in her heart.

Askelan picked up the phone from behind the inner pocket of her suit and she contacted someone then, asking him to bring dinner to her apartment.

“Wait here, Jode will deliver food for you!” Askelan said as she stood up and uncoated her shirt and buttons one by one.

God, is he really the one who killed six of his enemies with just one shot directly at the target. He was a man who had used many means to endure the tribulation. Then, wait for the right time to be able to execute the opponent and make himself the highest leader until now.

After finishing opening his shirt, Askelan turned to face Lintani making the girl's heart pound strongly, she saw the same chest shape as the man in the car at that time.

There was no way he would forget how the man did it, the color of his hair, skin and upper body. All of that was what he had seen, the rest he had seen nothing because as long as they did, Lintani had only closed her eyes.

‘No, there can't be him!’ Lintani said inwardly while shaking her head.

Askelan looked at him in wonder.

“If there are dirty clothes, just leave it there, tomorrow Madam will come clean it.” Askelan said while pointing at a box-shaped spot near the kitchen.

During this time he did not allow others to live in his private apartment even he bought all the units in one floor, because he did not want to get too many people involved. He's an acute loner, to the point that his assistant can only come a week he's been.

His assistant was a man he trusted, she was the woman who used to take care of him when he was a child, while the mother had to work to find money for her to grow up big and strong until now, all because of her mother's hard work.

Lintani's presence by her side is an exception as she means a lot to her mother, a woman who can make Elliyat smile again and survive longer.

“I want to wash my own clothes.”

“Serah!” askelan said, while ignoring the girl and about to step into her room.

“Master!” said Lintani calling Askelan doubtfully, “Did you hear everything I said? I'm sorry I didn't mean to be presumptuous, but all that I lied to you.”

A lie? Askelan thought, that was the most honest remark from someone she had heard lately. Of course he heard it even he was with all his might holding himself back from moving and pulling the girl into his lap or rolling her in the arms of his burly arms. Had Lintani been a food, it might have melted down in her mouth by then.

“No, I heard nothing but the sound of your stomach!” he is the one who is lying now. In the past, he had said to his mother that he would be an honest man and would never lie, in fact for the sake of a girl he was willing to break his own promise.

“Sorry to disturb your sleep.”

“Hmm.” Askelan said as she sat at the dinner table opening her laptop in a bare-chested state.
