That's Slander
The next day, when Lintani came out of the room, she went straight to the kitchen and processed some food from the ingredients available in the refrigerator. She can cook some special meals while working as a waitress for a small suburban restaurant and, she will make it for Elliyat.
After all was done and was about to leave for the hospital, Lintani saw some money on the table. That shows if Askelan heard his request last night. Her heart grew warm, even though the man had already accused her of being a woman of the night, but, she was innocent.
It was only natural that the man understood himself to be a prostitute because he would definitely believe in Haifa. Wasn't she his lover, who would believe whatever the woman told him.
‘Mother, are you going to cry for my fate after you sell me, no?’ lintani said in her heart, she knelt down while firmly grasping the money with her palm and put it in the bag, then, cried.
“Mother, of course you are smiling now that I became as you wish, stamped as a night woman, exiled and unrecognized as a wife as well as a child! Why is God always not there when I need Him, Mom? Not even you!” lirih Lintani in her tears.
Lintani comes out of the Apartment after washing her face and dressing her up a little, to cover her face from the rest of the crying, worried that Elliyat is sad about it.
Arriving at Elliyat's nursery, the two women had breakfast along with special dishes Lintani made from potluck ingredients.
“Lin, has my son ever eaten your cooking?”
“Mother, she's a good husband, she never allowed me too tired to cook!”
“So, you haven't cooked before?”
“Not yet, Mom! Today he's gone and I can cook for us!”
“I told you, you'd be so lucky to have my son! Look...he once left his father in the stomach, I'm sure he wouldn't do the same to his wife. He's a loving and polite man to you!”
“Mother, I told you, don't loudly praise her, she'll be big-headed and I'll report more because I can't get off the bed later!”
“Ah, Lin! You're so good at kidding! Basic you! Askelan will lose if you abandon a woman like yourself. You mean so much!”
“Mother, you mean so much to me, what else is your son! Is this delicious? Comeing! Add more, Bu.” Lintani diverts the conversation.
Elliyat so savorfully enjoyed the food his son-in-law made them remember cooking together in prison but, never part of their own cooking. Those were hard times, which were so sad to remember. They were together in prison for five years, and Lintani came out after three years later.
Lintani finished doing her job, bringing Elliyat to sleep, today she is still full after eating a lot in the hospital, so she does not need to cook lunch. He will go to the Lux family home and give money as Rauja wishes because he really hopes, if the family no longer bothers him.
He still had money left over from his brick-molding job, so he didn't have to walk and, in fact, could pay for the bus with cash.

“Well, have you finally come, too?” rauja said as soon as the housekeeper opened the door for Lintani and let her in.
Suddenly Lintani regrets why she didn't buy a stamp to make a deal.
“Why silent?” did you just realize something when you forgot your money! Don't expect you to get out of here, if you don't bring what I want!”
“I bring!” lintani said while taking money out of her bag and making a video that the woman took all her money greedily.
“Ah! I don't care where you get this much money from, but well .. I admit your greatness seducing Askelan, and crawling into her bed for money!” said Rauja while piling money on the table.
“What does that hurt you? Let it be my business, the important thing is that you can get the money, right?” sahut Lintani while folding both hands in front of the chest.
“Please promise, we will not interfere with each other when we meet, and I bring a letter, you should be happy to sign it!” said again.
“You?” Rauja said pointing fingers.
Lintani took out a piece of paper, for her it was enough, but Rauja signed with a laugh.
“Yes, yes, I promise! Haha!” Haifa had finished putting in her autograph as she laughed.
“Mother, what are you doing?” Haifa said, suddenly appearing with Askelan. Making Lintani very surprised, he guessed that there would be a storm coming.
“Look, Mr. Askel, this woman came and gave this money to me, she asked me to keep Haifa away from you, I would not! No one is better than Haifa, right?” said Rauja while throwing the money that was on the table towards Lintani.
Rauja had already been caught off guard until that was all she could do to save her self-esteem.
Instantly Lintani was inflamed, she clenched her fists and took the phone that was in the pocket of the shirt while showing it she said.
“Ah! I should have known you would do that and slandered me! Luckily I recorded everything from the beginning, look, Auntie, even you've signed my letter.”
“You think how powerful the letter is before the law? Ha?”
“Virtually nothing, but I at least have proof! If you ever slander me like this! Ah, I don't think I need to explain anything!”
He looked at Haifa.
“You know, right, what your mother asked me yesterday, and I brought the money on her request!”
Lintani shows her footage still in progress, she is about to replay it as Rauja robs the object and throws it to the ground.
“Already, there is no point in you proving anything, free!”
“You're panicking Auntie! That means I'm right! You wrongly accused people because of me at all, not involving your son to stay away from his girlfriend!”
Lintani turns around and leaves everything there, including her money. He simply picked up the shattered pieces of his phone, then, exited the house ignoring Askelan who was staring at him with a complicated look.
In fact both of the men's hands clenched quite firmly, upon seeing for themselves how the Lux family treated Lintani until Haifa felt some veins in her hand holding.
“Askel Darling, are you okay?” haifa said full of indulgence. “Thank you for taking me to the hospital to check on our son!” he said as he wrapped his hands around Askelan's neck, but the man let go with gentleness.
“I'm good, and you don't have to thank me for doing that.” Askelan said gently as she patted Haifa's head slowly, after all, she was very grateful to the woman.
It was painful for Haifa, as Askelan was always kind, gentle and protective but, strangely, she always refused if she made direct physical contact. She did not know why the man always asked her what brand of perfume she was wearing, but, never kissed her. Already hundreds maybe thousands of types of perfumes he tried but, no one has made Askelan approach with interest in him.
Therefore, Haifa had to use the reason of the baby in her womb. Yesterday he had contacted an obstetrician and, another woman who would be his partner. He'll be doing an ultrasound check at the hospital with Askelan today. All must be prepared in advance including the contents of the woman's stomach, which will be displayed on the monitor screen until the dashing man believes.
Askelan left after making sure Haifa entered the house and was fine, then she immediately headed out into the streets while circulating her gaze there and there but, the person she was looking for was gone.
‘Does he have the money to take a taxi and go home?’ He thought about Lintani.
Lintani hitchhiked on the bus and sat down and cried. He felt that there was no meaning in living in the world except in the presence of Elliyat, who considered himself the most meaningful in the world.
He even saw the car that Askelan had used, to deliver Haifa, slide ahead of the bus he was riding.
Lintani wondered why Askelan never used the same vehicle every day. Was he too damned or worried that he didn't want to be recognized by anyone? He even just rented an ordinary apartment, though, quite a luxury but, he should be able to rent ten such apartments at a time.
Lintani stops at a camera rental place, to ask what the cheapest camera price, which he can rent. He's going to help Elliyat, but, since his phone is destroyed, he can't use it anymore.
Somehow he could see a picture of his mother hugging him as a child. He thickened his face by taking a cellphone that had been destroyed because of the image, stored in an SD card that could one day still be used.
One day, if he had the money, he would buy it again. He will not rely on compensation money from Askelan, because it is the same as waiting for Elliyat to die soon.
He was grateful that Askelan gave him the money this morning, noting that he was in debt and, later, would be deducted when he was compensated.
He had to work again, this time to buy a cell phone!
